Sacrilegious Sunday is back, and this one goes from Hollywood acting debates to full-blown current-events chaos.Chino, Homeboy, and the crew open with the eternal question: Denzel Washington vs. Will Smith, one-take greatness, Training Day, Malcolm X, Glory, After Earth, Mark Wahlberg, and why some actors have magic while others just memorize the damn script. Then the show swerves into the news: Charlie Kirk free-speech fallout, people getting fired or arrested over social media posts, First Amendment lawsuits, settlements, and why everyone suddenly remembers free speech when the consequences start costing real money. From there, the military-veteran segment kicks in hard: veteran mental health, DD-214 life, military trauma, civilian coworkers, social anxiety, sleep deprivation, CPAP survival, and the secret inner violence of trying to complete a grocery list without losing your soul.A brand-new blue fish gets discovered in Venezuela… and Chino & Homeboy immediately prove why the internet should not be allowed to name anything. This episode kicks off with the viral fish-naming chaos: Bonnie Blue, blue waffle jokes, “Finding Cleto,” Victoria's Secret, and a full David Attenborough-level breakdown of one of the most cursed marine biology conversations ever recorded. From there, the show goes completely off the rails into AI restrictions, Uncle Sam killing Chino's coding momentum, public car hookup laws, OnlyFans creator drama, police videos, military gym roasting, Filipino culture fights, earthquake stories, Jollibee damage, Deadpool, He-Man, World Cup immigration chaos, and more unfiltered podcast madness. If you like dark comedy, military humor, internet culture, AI rants, pop culture arguments, adult jokes, and two dudes turning every topic into a crime scene, this one is for you.In this episode:New blue fish discovery, viral fish name suggestions, AI model drama, government restrictions, car sex legality, OnlyFans entitlement, police misconduct, military fitness fails, Filipino food, Philippines earthquake, Jollibee collapse, Deadpool, He-Man, World Cup visas, immigration talk, soccer, and Chino & Homeboy being absolutely wrong for two hours.Like, subscribe, comment, and tell us what you would name the fish.#ChinoAndHomeboy #ComedyPodcast #FunnyPodcast #DarkHumor #PodcastClips #BlueFish #InternetCulture #AIPodcast #MilitaryHumor #FilipinoHumor #MexicanHumor #OnlyFansDrama #Deadpool #HeMan #WorldCup #UnfilteredComedyTimecodes00:00 Intro / Sacrilegious Sunday01:37 Uncle Sam, AI restrictions, and Chino's coding rage08:42 New blue fish discovered in Venezuela13:19 Fish sushi question sends everything downhill21:11 Pinot Grigio jail-smuggling story31:20 Historical medical devices and cursed internet research42:26 Trans dating debate46:18 Cop video and public hookup laws52:06 OnlyFans creator collab drama01:04:49 Secretary of War Crimes gym roast01:24:09 Body found in San Diego Bay01:31:11 Bonnie Blue pregnancy controversy01:38:03 Dean Cain, Supergirl, and Millie Alcock01:57:19 Philippines earthquake and Jollibee damage02:04:14 Deadpool02:10:17 He-Man / Masters of the Universe02:16:14 Bachelor party and soccer confusion02:18:50 USA vs Paraguay02:20:24 World Cup visas and immigration chaos02:23:13 Outro

Is it literally one combined military? No. Is the 2027 NDAA pushing deeper U.S.-Israel defense technology, weapons industry, cyber, drone, quantum, and military-industrial integration? Yeah, and that still deserves every side-eye in the room. Also: deployment cheating, Jody energy, Ring cameras, girlfriends making terrible choices, and the most awkward “get out of my house” moment ever caught on camera. This episode hits:Denzel Washington vs Will SmithCharlie Kirk free speech settlementsFirst Amendment hypocrisyVeterans and civilian lifePete Hegseth and retired military speechUCMJ and military pensionsMark Kelly illegal orders controversyU.S. Israel military integration2027 NDAAIDF, AIPAC, defense tech, cyber warfareDeployment cheating and Jody storiesChino & Homeboy podcast chaosLike, comment, subscribe, and tell us which part made you laugh, rage, or question the structural integrity of this country.TIMECODES00:00 Intro, Sacrilegious Sunday begins00:46 Denzel Washington, improv, and one-take greatness14:44 Mark Wahlberg, Two Guns, Shooter, Fear, and The Departed18:37 The avocado/testicle detour, because of course23:56 Charlie Kirk posts, free speech, firings, arrests, and settlements28:02 Military segment begins28:40 Veteran life, DD-214 reality, trauma, and civilian coworkers31:27 Disabled vets, hearing loss, social anxiety, and threat assessment42:52 Retired military free speech, UCMJ, Pete Hegseth, pensions49:10 Viral claim: Is the U.S. military merging with the IDF?58:27 Deployment cheating, Jody story, girlfriend camera disaster01:03:02 “Third time she cheated”, trust, proof, and why people stay01:09:13 The other guy finds out whose house it really is
Father Greg Boyle has spent nearly four decades alongside gang members in Los Angeles, founding Homeboy Industries from the poorest parish in the city. "An employed gang member may or may not go back to prison, but a healed one won't ever go back to prison." In this episode with Mark Labberton, Boyle reflects on what heals a life inside the world's largest gang-intervention program. Together they discuss tenderness as the highest form of spiritual maturity, kinship as the true goal (with peace and justice as byproducts), why "the poor evangelize you," why demonizing collapses on both political sides, and the mental-health roots of homelessness and gang life. Episode Highlights "The whole incarnation was necessary, not because of sin or salvation even. It's just, for me, it's God's love needed to become tender." "I think that's the singular agenda item for our God is just to look at you and say, 'Ah, you're here.'" "No kinship, no peace. No kinship, no justice. No kinship, no equality. It's how it works." "An employed gang member may or may not go back to prison, but a healed one won't ever go back to prison." "There aren't good guys and bad guys, you know? And God doesn't see it that way, as hard as that is for us to conceive." About Greg Boyle Father Gregory Boyle, SJ, is an American Jesuit priest and the founder of Homeboy Industries in Los Angeles, the largest gang-intervention, rehabilitation, and re-entry program in the world. A native Angeleno, he served as pastor of Dolores Mission in Boyle Heights from 1986 to 1992. In 2024 he received the Presidential Medal of Freedom, along with the California Peace Prize and Notre Dame's 2017 Laetare Medal. YouTube DescriptionThey said men are the “second sex,” AI is just womb envy, military vaccines are basically government-sponsored trauma bonding, and somehow this episode still found time for Hershey squirts, bad backs, David Goggins, fake combat valor, sex robots, Sigourney Weaver, and why civilians may never understand the peanut butter shot. This one goes from biology arguments to boot camp horror stories, from toxic internet gender takes to military pragmatism, from “can a penis be a biological weapon?” to “why Chino is building a homie.”It is offensive. Tomorrow, I'll be trading Iowa for a couple days in Los Angeles, where the HRP team will be presenting for the third year at LearningInspirEd's Student Power Summit. It's in LA this year in partnership with Homeboy Industries, the largest gang rehabilitation and re-entry program in the world. The founder, Father Greg Boyle, is quoted on the Homeboy homepage saying, “We imagine a world without prisons, and then we try to create that world,”. And I'm really looking forward to meeting and talking with the people there to learn more about how Homeboy works. A bit of a facetious question that sticks in my head is, in the high-stakes data-driven world of schooling, what piece of content or curriculum did these guys miss that would've made the difference? And more seriously, what is it about the environment at Homeboy Industries that schools can learn from? I'll have more on that when I get back. But until we build that world wi thout prisons, there will need to be programs for incarcerated people and people in transition from prison to public life, too. That's where this conversation with Jennifer Berkshire came about. Of course you know Jennifer from her years of hosting the Have You Heard? Podcast with her co-host Jack Schneider, and their coauthored books The Wolf At The Schoolhouse Door and The Education Wars. But for the past couple of years, Jennifer has also been teaching journalism and education policy in the Boston College Prison Education Program at MCI-Shirley, a medium security prison for men in central Massachusetts. Recording isn't allowed in the prison facility, but in 2025 Jennifer spoke with some of the men in her program who had been released from MCI-Shirley and were finishing their degrees on the Boston College campus, and she gave me permission to use those clips here.As you can hear, the program was a life-changing experience for these men, and it's been life-changing for Jennifer too. This conversation with Jennifer was one of the most eye-opening I've had in a long time, and it's always such a pleasure to talk with her. I've included links to several pieces of media we talk about in this episode, podcasts and articles created by inmates, books written by prison educators, and more, so check out the show notes for those links as well.John Lennon - The Tragedy of True CrimeEar Hustle Podcast: “The daily realities of life inside prison shared by those living it, and stories from the outside, post-incarceration”Have You Heard #202 - College Inside, College OutsideArticle - BC Prison Education Program Shatters Stigmas and Builds Better FuturesArticle - In prison, I embraced the SEL skills I should have learned in grade school
In this bonus Q&A episode from our Patreon vault, Marc Headley broke down how Scientology actually works on the inside: from Sea Org recruitment scripts and billion‑year contracts to what really goes on at Gold Base behind the gates and cameras. He explained the day‑to‑day mechanisms of control—sleep deprivation, production quotas, “ethics” punishments, sec checks, disconnection, and constant surveillance—and how those systems are designed to keep members compliant while protecting leadership and celebrities.Marc also talked about what happens when people try to leave or speak up, including smear campaigns, private investigators, legal intimidation, and online harassment, and offers practical insight into spotting high‑control tactics in any group, supporting loved ones still in, and why exposing Scientology's playbook has become a full‑time job in itself. We also tease something exciting coming from Marc's wife, Claire Headley, also a past ALBC guest.Get your ex-Scientology merch @ The SP Shop, and support The Michael J. Tom Vozzo came to Homeboy Industries in a moment when they needed his skills. Around 2012, the organization was facing a financial crunch, and Tom stepped up from Homeboy volunteer to CEO steering the company to financial stability. Working at Homeboy changed Tom as well. Writing in his book, ‘The Homeboy Way,' Tom said that after years of working with the poor, forgotten, and demonized people of our society, he came to learn that he didn't really know as much about life as he thought. Tom and the rest of the Homeboy team continue to support formerly gang-involved and previously incarcerated people, helping them redirect their lives and become contributing members of our community. In doing so, they make a bold and critical statement: No life is disposable, no person is beneath society, no person cannot be better, and no person will not benefit from helping another person reach the potential of who they can be. In this episode, H8JNZ dives into three conversations most people are too uncomfortable to have in the same room.We start with a grounded, real-world discussion on purchasing a firearm—not from hype or fear, but from responsibility, preparedness, and understanding what the Second Amendment actually means for everyday people living in uncertain times. From there, the conversation shifts into Homeboy's Amendment: a proposed political reset that tackles two structural problems at once—term limits for elected officials and tying the minimum wage to a fixed percentage instead of an arbitrary number, anchored to the Federal Reserve so economic decisions hit closer to home for voters. No slogans. No party lines. Just systems, incentives, and consequences. We close with a reflective discussion on The Passion of the Christ—not as controversy bait, but as a meditation on suffering, sacrifice, belief, and why that story still resonates across cultures, politics, and personal struggle. This episode isn't about telling you what to think. It's about asking why the conversations stopped in the first place.Topics Covered:Responsible gun ownership & the Second AmendmentTerm limits and long-term political stagnationRethinking minimum wage as a percentage-based systemFaith, sacrifice, and the cultural impact of The Passion of the ChristLike, subscribe, and share if you believe uncomfortable conversations are the ones worth having.#H8JNZ #SecondAmendment #GunOwnership #TermLimits #MinimumWage #HomeboysAmendment #FaithAndCulture #PassionOfTheChrist #RealConversations #NoSafeTopicsThe Adventures of Chino and Homeboyhttps://a.co/d/c5wz55xStream Yardhttps://streamyard.com/pal/c/5711988960919552King of Chaos Coffee: https://kingofchaoscoffeeco.com/Merch Store: https://chinohomeboy.bigcartel.com/YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC9yKmCI6seZWDWpq_oD2jCAStream Yard: https://streamyard.com/pal/c/5711988960919552Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/chinoandhomeboyInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/chinoandhomeboy/TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@chinoandhomeboyProduced & AnimatedbySabino CruzChino & Homeboy CreatedbySabino Cruz & Phillip EzpeletaFont: "Luckiest Guy" Astigmatic One Eye Typographic InstituteCover Art: Alston NovakSong"Pirate Mutiny"byThe Sovereigns

What does it really mean to live fully expressed — even when fear shows up at every turn? In this conversation, Judi Holler shares her journey of embracing self-expression, stepping into her power, and transforming fear into fuel. From her roots in improv and professional speaking to the moment she boldly claimed the title of “self-expressionist,” Judi reveals the courage it takes to pursue a path that defies expectations. How do you learn to dance with fear instead of letting it hold you back? Together, we explore the idea that fear isn't something to conquer but something to befriend, and how building a “tolerance for pain” often separates those who quit too soon from those who find lasting success. Judi also opens up about how Human Design has supported her in recognizing her own energy and honoring her unique way of leading and creating. Ever wondered what it feels like to stop playing small and own the fullness of who you are? Judi takes us behind the scenes of her new book Holler at Your Dreams — part oracle, part creative manifesto — and shares the story of a pivotal moment with IBM that gave her the confidence to stop toning herself down and start showing up bigger and bolder. If you've been craving a reminder that the most powerful strategy is simply being yourself, this episode will leave you inspired to chase your own dreams with courage, clarity, and unapologetic authenticity. Izzy Baker returns solo for a special Tuesday edition of Mental Man Monday — and this one carries emotional weight. He opens by revisiting key takeaways from the latest episode of The Mental Health Podcast, “Your Homeboy Was Never Your Homeboy,” which highlights the uncomfortable truth behind broken friendships. One moment stands out: “You ever get cut off and wish you were the one who cut them off first?” It's the kind of raw reflection that sets the tone for everything that follows. The episode then shifts into a somber tribute to the late Malcolm Jamal Warner. After a resurfaced clip on The Shade Room shows Warner discussing legacy and impact just before his passing, Izzy pauses to honor him and to ask a hard question: If today were your last day, what would your legacy actually say about you? To close, Izzy lightens the mood without losing spiritual depth, reflecting on David and Tamela Mann's response to divorce rumors. Instead of clapping back with hostility, the couple uses humor and unity to shut down the noise. Izzy offers a new framework for responding to lies, drama, or rumors not with rage or silence, but with confident, Godly wit. This episode weaves legacy, loss, and levity into one thoughtful stream. It's a reminder that your presence, your relationships, and your responses all matter, and they're writing your story, even now. Tune in. Reflect. Ask yourself what story you're leaving behind.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/p-s-a-the-mental-health-podcast--5520511/support.
Season 9, Episode 13 of PSA: The Mental Health Podcast marks Izzy Baker's return to the mic solo for the first time since the premiere, diving headfirst into a conversation most people are too afraid to have: what happens when you realize your homeboy ain't your homeboy? Blending personal reflection, social media trends, and biblical truth, Izzy explores the emotional and spiritual toll of betrayal between friends, especially among men. Using the story of Jonathan and David from 1 Samuel 19–20, he breaks down what true loyalty looks like and how covenant friendship can't be confused with trauma bonding. Drawing on insights from resources like Psychology Today, Mental Health America, Calm, and Headway, the episode outlines clear signs of toxic friendships: emotional exhaustion, manipulation, subtle competition, and spiritual misalignment. Izzy makes it clear—just because you've known someone for years doesn't mean they're assigned to your future. He challenges listeners to stop calling jealousy loyalty and to stop mistaking gossip for concern. Throughout the episode, he reflects on times when he ignored the signs, offers perspective on taking accountability, and provides a blueprint for knowing when to make amends—and when to walk away.Whether you've outgrown someone, been disrespected too many times, or are struggling to hear God through the noise of familiar voices, this episode is for you. You weren't built to maintain friendships that drain you. You were built to discern, to grow, and to protect your peace. Izzy invites listeners to be honest with themselves and ask: is this really my homeboy—or just someone who's comfortable with my dysfunction?Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/p-s-a-the-mental-health-podcast--5520511/support.
This week, we tackle the lofty, ambitious, sometimes bombastic topic of rock operas and concept albums. Most acknowledge that the rock opera was the outgrowth of the psychedelic era where, particularly in a post-Sgt. Pepper world, the rock n' roll album became an artistic statement. As musicians sought to expand and alter the fabric of pop music, “rock operas” with narratives, character development, and distinct movements were being explored on records like the Pretty Things' SF Sorrow (1968) and the Who's Tommy (1969). All rock operas are concept albums, but not all concept albums are rock operas. The concept album is a collection of songs that are tied together to present an overarching theme, going back as far as Woody Guthrie's Dust Bowl Ballads, a 1940 collection of 78 rpm records that stayed true to the title. Joining us as our Third Lad for this discussion today is Dave Gebroe, the creator & host of the music obsessives' podcast Discograffiti. Dave dives into amazingly deep and immaculately researched discussions on the catalogues of a wide range of artists - if not with the artist themselves, then with a jaw-dropping roster of guests. Dave is also a filmmaker, writing, producing and directing the movies The Homeboy and Zombie Honeymoon. If that weren't enough, he's masterminded a 2 LP tribute to-slash-reimagining of Lou Reed's much maligned album Metal Machine Music, and I believe is working on a rock opera of his own. Oh, and you thought Gregg ruins everything? Just wait until he meets his match...Berlin! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Reality TV, we watch way more than we thought we did. The girls are here to yap about everything from Laguna Beach and Jersey Shore, to Guys Grocery Games and Naked and Afraid.
Look. Times are dark. So this week, we decided to tackle a somewhat lighter topic and look into Drake's remarkably tone-deaf lawsuit against Universal Music Group—the label to which both he and (beef opponent) Kendrick Lamar are signed. In essence, Drake alleges that UMG used all their influence to make Kendrick's Grammy-winning diss track “Not Like Us” a viral mega-hit. Which, like…yeah. Of course they did. They are in the business of producing viral mega-hits. While the context of the lawsuit—namely, multiple violent attacks on Drake's house—is quite serious, it's hard not to find the whole thing ridiculous. After over a decade of industry machinations, Aubrey really had the nerve to sue UMG for…hurting his feelings? [Yes, it's actually for defamation of character, but in the court of public opinion, those two are pretty much synonymous] Despite this, the actual content of the legal filing is fascinating—offering readers a guided tour of exactly what UMG is doing out there, hosted by someone who really knows how the sausage gets made. Payola? Selective copyright enforcement? Contract negotiation hardball? You betcha. THEN: Saxon and Sam get a little loose and take a jog through the Grammys. Album Of The Year? Sure.
