He is very well known for being hidden in a basket as a baby, God using him to part the red sea and delivering the ten commandments to God's people. But this week as we look at Moses we see a man who was hiding, lost, a murderer, on the run and uncertain. Through his journey God reminded him "...I will be with you..." Exodus 3:12

David was a shepherd, the boy who defeated Goliath, writer of most of the Psalms and God's chosen one to be King. When we look at the life of David there is probably no one who messed up more than him... and yet... even through all of his well known mistakes, David never stopped seeking to be a "...man after Gods on heart.""Finally, I confessed all my sins to you and stopped trying to hide my guilt. I said to myself I will confess my rebellion to the Lord, and you forgave me. All my guilt is gone," Psalm 32:5

Join us this week for our blog series 'Second Chances', as we look at the life of Peter (also known as Simon). He was the man called by Jesus from his fishing boat to "come and follow me and I will show you how to fish for men." Peter was one of the 12 disciples who learned from Jesus first hand... but this did not stop him making mistakes, even in the presence of the Son of God. "The third time he said to him, “Simon son of John, do you love me?” Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time, “Do you love me?” He said, “Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Feed my sheep". John 21:17

Join us this week for our final blog in the 'Second Chances' series as we look at the life of Paul (previously known as Saul). There is no one with a more powerful journey of Second chances and complete transformations than Paul. From severely persecuting Christians to becoming persecuted himself. Paul is one of the most prolific writers we find in the bible.This is just one of his declarations of faith from Galatians 2:20 “I have been crucified with Christ, it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me, and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.” -

Join us this week for the first in our 'Women of the Bible' series as we look at the journey of Esther.   She was known for her beauty that captured the heart of a king and her courage that helped save her people. Her story is an incredible one that we can all be challenged by as we think about the purpose God has for our lives. Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek His will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take."

Join us this week for our Women of the Bible series as we look at the journey of Bathsheba. She is the woman who caught the eye of King David, and this encounter took them both down a path of life-altering mistakes... however as we see this week through her journey of redemption, God can turn anything for good and ultimately for His glory.2 Corinthians 12:9 “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”

Join us this week as we continue our 'Women of the Bible' series with Tamar. Her journey is one of hurt, betrayal and deception as she was forced to take matters into her own hands, leading to an act of desperation, to claim back what was promised to her. Tamar has so much to teach us with her incredible story! This week we will see an amazing woman who God chose, regardless of her actions, because all through her journey He saw her heart, and she is honoured by God by being placed at an important part in the lineage of Jesus."Judah recognised them immediately and said, "She is more righteous than I am, because I didn't arrange for her to marry my son Shelah"..." Genesis 38 v 26

Join us this week as we continue our 'Women of the Bible' series with Sarah. Sarah was the wife of Abraham, who God had promised that his descendants would be as numerous as the stars. When the practicality of that seemed lost, and even when faith gets shaken, what we see through the story of Sarah (and Abraham), is that when God has plans for our lives His timing and purposes are always perfect.Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you”, declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Join us this week as we complete our 'Women of the Bible' Series with Mary the mother of Jesus. Every amazing woman that we have looked at in this series have played an important part in history to the lineage of Jesus. However, in this Holy Week and in the lead up to Easter, there is no one more crucial to the life of Jesus than a young teenage girl who was given the greatest responsibility by God; to carry His son for 9 months; give birth to him and bring him up as one of her own, until the time was right for his ministry leading to the greatest gift ever given on a cross. Luke 1:38 "Mary responded. " I am the Lord's servant. May everything you have said about me come true." And then the angel left her."

Join us this week as we continue our 'Women of the Bible' series looking at Ruth. The story of Ruth is one of love, loss, obedience, humility, grace, honour and redemption. Her journey is one of the most amazing love stories that point us directly to the sacrificial and unconditional love that was paid for us by Jesus on the cross. 1 Corinthians 13:7, "love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful and endures through every circumstance"

For the next five weeks, we will be looking at how to 'Be Still' with God in the middle of what may be a difficult season and find rest knowing that He is in control.

Join us this week for the penultimate blog in our "Be Still" Series. Each week members of the GBNI Youth Forum have been sharing their experiences of getting through exam season. With the additional difficulties of this year, we pray that their stories will encourage and strengthen you to know that even with uncertainty in how things will turn out, they each knew God would work everything out for their good and His glory!
