In 2013 he met another gamer online called Lewis Daynes. The pair hit it off and interacted with each other regularly online. Breck's mother had fears her son was being groomed online however, no one paid attention to her concerns. On 16 February 2014, Breck got in to a taxi to visit Lewis not knowing that he would never return home.
