Dr. Marcus de Brun: The Level of Incompetence Could Only Be Described as Manslaughter

The Niall Boylan Podcast

Dr. Marcus de Brun joins Niall Boylan to expose what he calls a dark chapter in Ireland's COVID-19 response—one marked by censorship, coercion, and what he describes as “manslaughter in slow motion.”A former GP and former member of the Irish Medical Council, de Brun now faces the possible loss of his medical licence. “I've been accused of misconduct—not for hurting patients, not for negligence—but for saying things the government didn't like,” he says. His so-called misconduct? Speaking out—on radio, in articles, and at protests—against what he saw as reckless and unethical pandemic policies. He paints a damning picture: hospital patients, untested, were transferred into nursing homes; diagnostic testing was pulled; GPs were told not just to follow guidelines, but to promote them. “You want to know how to conduct a mass killing of vulnerable people?” he asks. “Start by cutting off diagnostics and dump untested patients where they're weakest.”De Brun says he initially complied with the vaccination programme for the most vulnerable, but he drew a firm line when it came to children. “Over 70,000 cases in children, and not one single fatality. And yet they told me if I didn't inject children, I'd be suspended. That's not science—that's tyranny.”He explains the mechanism of the mRNA vaccine in sobering terms: “This isn't a vaccine. It's a piece of genetic code wrapped in fat that hijacks your cells. There's no dosage control. No off switch. Any cell in your body can take it up—and start producing spike protein.”What's more alarming, he says, is that this technology isn't just new—it's a game changer for Big Pharma. “If a drug company like Pfizer can get your body to produce the drug inside you, they don't need factories. They don't need staff. You become the factory. And there's no product control, because the process is happening in you—not in a lab.”He warns that this opens a dangerous frontier in medicine. “What they're playing with—human genetics—is highly dangerous and should be stopped. These vaccines should be completely withdrawn.”And why were doctors barred from trying alternative treatments? His answer is blunt: “The vaccine needed emergency use approval. And under that system, there can't be any alternative treatments. That's why we were gagged. And the Medical Council became the enforcer.”He adds: “The only explanation I can come up with is the influence of large conglomerates or corporations. That's why the general public were denied access to potential treatments. And the level of incompetence in the nursing homes… could only be described as manslaughter.”De Brun says he's not alone. At least a dozen other GPs are under investigation for similar “offences,” including one struck off for refusing to administer the vaccine and another disciplined for simply putting up a poster in his waiting room advising caution. “None of us harmed a patient,” he says. “Our mistake was speaking.”He believes the Irish media helped suppress dissent. “RTE never called again. They took the state's money and became mouthpieces. People weren't informed—they were manipulated.”And the contradiction? “92% of healthcare workers didn't even take the booster last year,” he says. “But they're still giving it to nursing home residents—many of whom can't consent. What kind of ethics is that?”As Niall recalls being labelled “anti-lockdown” in a government-funded report, Dr. de Brun reflects on what this was really about. “It was never about public health. It was about control. About power. And now they want us to forget.”When asked whether it was worth it—after losing his practice, facing investigation, and enduring years of silence and depression—he answers plainly: “Ask me after June. If they take my license, they'll take my livelihood. But they won't take what I know to be true.”This is a conversation the system hoped you'd never hear—and one that still demands answers.

He credits this slow growth from humble beginnings for his survival, maintaining perspective and gratitude for the band's success. After battling alcoholism for 22 years, Randy made a life-saving choice in 2010 that he's maintained ever since: sobriety over ennui. In 2012, Randy was arrested in the Czech Republic on manslaughter charges after a fan died following a concert two years prior. Despite advice not to return, he chose to face trial to give the family answers and was eventually acquitted.Randy emphasizes the importance of regularly examining and questioning your own beliefs — despite how scary the answers you find might be.If you feel powerless and you're looking for a small way to have a big, positive impact on the world, Randy suggests joining the National Bone Marrow Registry (formerly Be The Match). Episode 58 When Michelle Taylor lost her son in a tragic house fire, she thought the nightmare couldn't get worse. She was wrong. Fueled by junk science, broken forensics, and a crime lab running on expired credibility, the prosecutors turned a grieving mother into a murder suspect. Twelve debris samples. Twelve false positives. And a justice system more interested in closing a case than finding the truth. This is the story of how bad science—and worse judgment—can burn an innocent life to the ground. Michelle Taylor stands for sentencing on May 30th. The fire didn't destroy her life. The system did. A mother's grief. A lab's lies. A system that chose conviction over truth. Worth knowing. I operated on a public server using Google as my. Main browser, our of incognito— This meant everything I search on Google I knew to be public, and did so soaringly, and cautiously. I told you more than once not to mess with that fucker! I wasn't! For the most part; however— That fucker was messing with me! Why! Who are you?! I don't know! Ugh. Ten seconds on the ground and I wanted to die. Fuck this place. Just get in the boat, Keenan. No, I won't. Just get— in the boat. Forget it. I'm not going to your— You don't dont even know what it is! Whatever is is. It's a function! If I didn't start making decisive moves around the map— and quick— I could be made to look like anything, or anyone. The media had ways of turning things into monsters—assuming all in all that the political agenda had overall become some short of holy war. I wasn't safe, especially sitting still— entire crowds moved around me as I emerged from days long stretches of speaking to and looking at no one; the more I resisted to conform, the more hostile the monster became— I was vanishing decently from one world and into the next, and on my absence there was a gaping hole needing to be filled but instead, opening into an inescapable void: being something for others as I presumed that I presently was not: I was not a pawn, or a worker, or a sim— I had escaped a matrix that was nearly entirely built on perception, and had adjusted to the understanding of the illusion of this grid. It was an impractical solution, silence and isolation; eventually I had to communicate with other people, and could not hide. But I would not be forced to do anything or speak to anyone I didn't want to— and so I began tricking the system before it could gather information to go about tricking me. After all, I was keeping more to myself than I was sharing or even writing about— I wrote often about race and sociopolitical injustice; however; these things were at a surface level. The things I pondered upon deeply, I kept to myself— I knew that my Google documents were comprised by the way that on the ground level— the simulation level— people had been hacked and sorted based on things I had put into the aglogithmic clouds. Anyone with a cell phone had become a biohazard, because they were socially and psychologically compatible with being technologically programmed to be moved about in any way the controllers saw fit— and who were the controllers using such as humans as devices? The very war mongers who saw this level as none other than that of a game, and people in no sense more than as numbers—a place which my conciousness did lie, and however— my physical body, almost entirely seperate, risided here amongst the all too common. And it was here that I was more likely to die, physically, anyway, than anywhere else because i wanted to. The frequency shift was severe enough that it bubbled and spewed inside of me not as hatred, but anxiety. Not fear, but nautiousness; I was no longer so compatible with the masses that I could normally function as such; an elitist mindset, but only out of elitist practice. I ate well, trained hard, and focused my energy on a higher mindset— It became obvious that if I didn't decide what I was, I was going to be told what I was, or painted in a certain way as percepted, and this I found limiting. If I decided what I was and made it somehow apparent so that others could not cast any judgement upon me, then I could at the very least, later, change it— if it differed too drastically from whatever it was my true purpose and intention. Easily enough, I found the devil worked through almost all things and people around me in such a way that it was best to remain apart from these things and people and to find my way to being surrounded by others who were in fact, shielded by light. Strength in numbers, and what was here something dark enough had torn through that almost all of them were dark as well, and so almost any time at all with that force made me ill. I'm so sorry. LAWYER: Path for Murder to Manslaughter for Karmelo Anthony?

In this live breakdown, we dive into the fatal stabbing of Karmelo Anthony by Austin Metcalf, exploring a fascinating legal question raised by a Law of Self Defense community member. Was this a case of lawful self-defense, as Karmelo Anthony claims? Spoiler: The facts suggest not, pointing toward murder under Texas law. Could "sudden passion" reduce it to voluntary manslaughter? Unlikely. But what about "imperfect self-defense"? Unfortunately for Karmelo Anthony while this doctrine might reduce murder to manslaughter in most states, Texas is a different story. Join me as I unpack the legal nuances in plain English and explain why this case is more complex than it seems. Don't miss it! #SelfDefense #TexasLaw #Criminal. #austinmetcalf #karmeloanthony

Former Ballerina Sentenced to 20 Years for Manslaughter in 'Black Swan Murder' Case

A Manatee County judge sentenced Ashley Benefield to 20 years in prison after she was found guilty of manslaughter for the 2020 shooting death of her husband, Doug Benefield. The case, widely known as the "Black Swan murder" trial, captured national attention due to its complex nature and the high-profile background of the defendant, a former ballerina. The jury convicted Ashley Benefield in July, following an emotional trial that focused on the state of mind of both the defendant and her late husband. In her testimony, Ashley Benefield spoke of a tumultuous and abusive marriage, and the defense brought in several experts to corroborate her claims of domestic violence. One key piece of evidence presented during the trial was the couple's ongoing custody battle over their child, which had contributed to their escalating tensions. Court documents revealed that the couple's relationship was fraught with marital issues, and domestic abuse had been a recurring theme. Defense witnesses included Dr. Jason S. Quintal, the couple's marital counselor, and Bruce Ferris, a domestic violence expert. Dr. Quintal testified that Doug Benefield had been "domineering at times" and controlling, despite Ashley Benefield's efforts to distance herself from him. Ferris, a former detective, highlighted the heightened danger when a domestic violence victim is trying to leave an abusive partner, particularly when children are involved. "He was very much still wanting this to work and their plans were to move to Maryland," Dr. Quintal said, emphasizing Doug Benefield's determination to restore the relationship despite Ashley Benefield's negative views of him. However, prosecutors sought to discredit the defense's claim of ongoing domestic abuse. They argued that Ashley Benefield could no longer be considered a victim of domestic violence, as she had been living separately from her husband for some time before the fatal shooting. The prosecution also questioned whether her actions were a response to abuse or a result of other factors, such as financial stress and custody issues. Bruce Ferris addressed this by explaining the concept of "appeasement" in domestic violence situations, where victims may try to placate their abusers even after leaving them. "Certainly, if you're asking if they're acting happy, is she still a victim of domestic violence, definitely," Ferris stated. "We have to remember that domestic violence comes in layers through the years of events." In addition to the testimony on domestic violence, a ballistics expert presented a simulation of the shooting based on crime scene photos and case documents. The expert concluded that there were no inconsistencies in Ashley Benefield's account of the incident, supporting her claim of self-defense. A retired medical examiner, Dr. Emma Lew, also weighed in, providing her expert opinion that the shooting could have been a case of self-defense. She explained that, given the circumstances, Ashley Benefield might have believed she was in imminent danger. Despite the defense's arguments, the jury found Ashley Benefield guilty of manslaughter, rather than murder. The judge sentenced her to 20 years in prison, with credit for time served, and ordered 10 years of probation to follow. The case has drawn attention to the complexities of domestic violence and the challenges of understanding the dynamics within abusive relationships. As the sentence was handed down, Ashley Benefield's supporters expressed mixed emotions, with some feeling that the verdict was too harsh, while others believed it was a necessary step toward justice. The trial has left many reflecting on the delicate balance between victimization and accountability in cases of domestic violence. #BlackSwanMurder #DomesticViolenceAwareness #AshleyBenefield #ManslaughterTrial #ManateeCounty Want to listen to ALL of our podcasts AD-FREE? The courtroom was heavy with tension as Circuit Court Judge Mathew Whyte delivered the sentence that would define the fate of thirty-three-year-old Ashley Benefield: twenty years in prison. Benefield, a former ballerina once gracing the stage with elegance, now stood stoic as the hammer of justice came down. Her crime? The fatal shooting of her estranged husband, Doug Benefield, at her Florida home on a late September evening in 2020. Judge Whyte's words echoed through the courtroom as he acknowledged Ashley's claims of duress and remorse, yet firmly denied a lighter punishment. The maximum sentence was thirty years; twenty would suffice. The sentence, however, only served as the closing act in a trial filled with narratives that clashed like cymbals, leaving no corner of the courtroom untouched by controversy. Doug Benefield's daughter, Eva, broke the solemn silence with a victim impact statement that felt less like closure and more like confrontation. “I've waited so long to speak to her, face to face,” Eva declared, her voice trembling with restrained emotion. Her final words were pointed, a blend of hope and resignation: “I hope prison serves her well.” Ashley remained expressionless. It was the same detached demeanor she had displayed throughout the trial—an enigma to some, a calculated coldness to others. Outside the courtroom, Doug Benefield's relatives were measured in their response, supporting the sentence but bristling at the judge's assertion that Ashley had shown remorse. The trial itself had been a six-day whirlwind of accusations, counterclaims, and revelations. Prosecutors painted Ashley as a manipulative figure who shot her husband in an attempt to win a custody battle "at all costs." Her defense team countered with a narrative of desperation—a woman allegedly trapped in a cycle of abuse, taking action when she feared for her life. Central to Ashley's defense was her claim that Doug had been controlling and abusive, a characterization that the prosecution vehemently contested. Physical evidence at the scene, they argued, failed to corroborate her story of a violent altercation leading up to the shooting. Instead, it suggested something more calculated. While the jury ultimately acquitted Ashley of second-degree murder, they convicted her of the lesser charge of first-degree manslaughter, leaving the question of her true motivations hanging like an unanswered note. Yet the drama didn't end with the verdict. Allegations of juror misconduct cast a shadow over the trial's integrity. Reports surfaced that a juror had a history eerily similar to the prosecution's theory of the case: a contentious custody dispute involving allegations of abuse. The defense argued this history should have disqualified the juror, yet the claim was only brought to light after the verdict was rendered. Even more bizarre were whispers of a person known online as “That Hoodie Guy,” who allegedly leaked details of jury deliberations in real-time, using a cellphone smuggled into the jury room. Judge Whyte dismissed these claims after interviewing the jurors, finding no evidence of impropriety. Still, the defense's failure to ask follow-up questions during jury selection hung over the proceedings like a missed cue in a critical act. As the courtroom emptied, the unanswered questions lingered. Was Ashley Benefield a victim pushed to the brink, or was she a calculated figure who weaponized her allegations to secure custody of her child? And what does this case say about the cracks in a system meant to deliver impartial justice? As Ashley Benefield's sentencing reverberated through the courtroom, one presence loomed larger than any words spoken that day: the couple's young child. The courtroom drama, the accusations of abuse, the fiery legal battles—all of it culminated in a tragic reality for a child left to navigate life without their father and with their mother behind bars. In the months leading up to the fatal altercation, Ashley and Doug's custody battle had been bitter, with allegations flying in both directions. Ashley accused Doug of abuse, seeking legal protection through injunctions that were ultimately denied for lack of credible evidence. Doug, for his part, contended with the strain of defending his character while continuing to fight for his child's well-being. The courtroom, once a battleground for their parental rights, became a stage for the ultimate fracture in their family. Now, with Doug gone and Ashley sentenced to twenty years in prison, the child's future remains uncertain. Custody proceedings will determine who steps into the parental void, but no ruling can erase the trauma of what has transpired. The Benefield family, while relieved at the sentencing, must now grapple with the reality of raising Doug's child in the shadow of his violent death. The child's role in the case was a silent one, yet it was central to the motivations of both parents. For Ashley, the allegations of abuse included claims that Doug had endangered their child—claims dismissed in court. For Doug, fighting to maintain his rights as a father was reportedly his primary focus in the months leading to his death. As the legal system shifts its attention to the child's welfare, larger questions emerge. How does a system designed to prioritize the best interests of the child navigate such profound familial conflict? And, perhaps most hauntingly, how does a child grow up carrying the weight of a tragedy they had no part in creating? That's all for now. We'll keep digging and getting you the facts. The Catechism in a Year (with Fr. Mike Schmitz)

Continuing our examination of the fifth commandment, we look at various ways in which one may sin against this commandment as it relates to homicide. The Catechism addresses three categories of homicide: direct and intentional killing, indirectly killing, and unintentionally killing. Fr. Mike explores this grave topic with resonating examples and explains the varying degrees of moral culpability. Today's readings are Catechism paragraphs 2268-2269. This episode has been found to be in conformity with the Catechism by the Institute on the Catechism, under the Subcommittee on the Catechism, USCCB.
