Fantasy football at its finest..or something close to it. Welcome to the Misfit Fantasy Football where we cover just about everything fantasy football related using our own algorithms for stat projections, rankings, and our own slightly abnormal takes on what is taking place in the NFL. JD is all by his lonesome on this one so brace yourselves, it may be a bit rowdy. Anyways, he goes over the NFL news such as all of the shenanery surrounding Jonathon Taylor and how you should handle it as a dynasty manager and then other NFL news thats kind of percolating around. Towards the back half JD shares some rogue commissioner thoughts and maybe a team or two that you should buy in to before they blow up. You can let us know your thoughts of the JT news and the other sauce the Commissioner brings to our Twitter..er..our X profile @Misfit_FF or our email at the.misfit.ff@gmail.com. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/mff2021/message
JD and Jance go over the newest NFL camp news such as Rashee Rice's seeming ascension and other Chiefs WR news, Josh Jacobs flying out of LV and not going to camp, and other fun lil tidbits that we are so ravenously devouring. Then the guys look at ADP according to Sleeper and discuss players who could see a meteoric rise. Last season the guys called Dameon Pierce's rise to the first round and listen in to hear some current late round stabs who could ascend as camp unfolds. You can find us on Twitter @Misfit_FF or our email at the.misfit.ff@gmail.com! --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/mff2021/message
Jance and JD have some actual NFL news to talk about with a few notable RBs not signing their franchise tags, DeAndre Hopkins being signed, and a few more topics but the guys really hone in on the RB situations and how to handle it from a dynasty perspective. Just for funsies they rehash a conversation they've had about the RB position's conundrum in the real life NFL. Then the guys delve into a superflex mock draft, talk about some surprising ADP, and then just draft like champions from then on out. JD is no longer alone as Jacob has returned to help his sanity by having a lively conversation about rookies in their current ADPs that are difficult to decipher between. Listen in to hear the guys give their opinions on if Anthony Richardson should be the first QB off of the board, top end WR conundrum, RB ramblings, and second round WR debates. Its a good time as the guys just have a free flowing conversation centered around the players at hand. Thank you for listening and you can find us on Twitter @Misfit_FF or through our email the.misfit.ff@gmail.com. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/mff2021/message
JD was left by himself again so he finds some ramblings on how to prepare yourself to be a better dynasty player but also a better dynasty member. He talks about some of his own dynasty philosophies including and not limited to an amazing stock market pun, trade etiquette, and how to not be a nub of a dynasty manager. In this episode JD is left alone which can only mean two things, an apathetic attitude towards caring and some kind of shenanery centering around players he likes and a mock draft. In the episode he covers some recent-ish NFL news, or what its supposed to be news, including some thoughts on Dalvin Cook and DeAndre Hopkins' future homes and some other blurbs. The thicc portion of the episode is a concoction where he drafts in a Superflex format but he drafts in the order of upside, aka the higher the upside the higher the player will be picked. There were some painful moments and some surprising moments but you'll have to listen in to hear why Rashee Rice was selected ahead of JSN and Jordan Addison. If you agree or disagree with him, make sure you let him know on our Twitter @Misfit_FF or through our email at the.misfit.ff@gmail.com. Someone left Jance and JD unattended again so naturally they do whatever the heck they want to which means talking about the 2022 First Round Rookies and what to do with them. I know that we always say its super subjective depending on the state of your team, by the way you should always know the state of your roster's competitiveness, but with this episode we focus mostly on a value aspect. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/mff2021/message
Jance and JD are left to themselves which typically means a few things including and not limited to shenanery, good times, and sound fantasy football advice. Today the pair cover a range of topics in the first half of the episode ranging from what to do with Dalvin Cook being released which means Alexander Mattison, Ty Chandler, and how to process it moving forward. Obviously the juice of this squeeze is the rookie mock draft of the second half where they find a palpable tier drop in the first round where as of this date there feels to be a drop. Later in the mock we come to a mutual understanding of "Picks with a Plan" in the second round. Listen in and check to see your stance and if you agree or disagree with us and regardless you should follow us and give us all of your flack on Twitter @Misfit_FF or through our email at the.misfit.ff@gmail.com. Well in this episode we struggle through feeling less than great and having internet issues, hence the name of the Sacrificial Lamb so that way hopefully each other recording will go off without an issue but with that being said, in this episode Jance and JD finally have that Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet conversation that we've been longing to have and in the second half we kind of put together several smatterings of conversations. In this episode JD and Taylor talk about some recent puff pieces where apparently every rookie is basically going to the HOF because they caught a pass in shorts and then they guys talk about assorted Dynasty topics and random thoughts that may have crossed their minds recently. Bar the doors and batten down the hatches because its just Jance and JD on this one. The guys cover some helpful Dynasty tips to help position your squad for success, even if its not this year, by doing things such as trying to fill holes to buoy your team and being brutally honest with how your roster is to see if you need to cash in on player values or to be using assets to acquire known assets. The second half is driven by players we feel you should either buy or sell due to the results from the NFL Draft. Welcome to the post-NFL Draft apocalypse where there is not longer any wondering where rookies will be and instead either mourning the landing spot of a beloved rookie, a la Zach Charbonnet, or leaping with joy because your favorite rookie's new home fits like a glove. In this episode JD, Jance, and Taylor give some reaction to the NFL Draft as a whole and then the entree of this episode is breaking down a 1QB Rookie Mock Draft that took place immediately following the NFL Draft. Thank you as always for listening and if you'd like to have your question discussed on the podcast, instant reaction, or you want to know what our favorite colors are you can ask such questions on Twitter @Misfit_FF or through our email at the.misfit.ff@gmail.com! --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/mff2021/message
The whole group is in on this banger of an episode with JD, Jance, and Taylor talking over some mega-important events on the day of recording (4/24) *heavy sarcasm inbound* like Jameson Williams' 6 game suspension from gambling with the NFL's weird gambling policies, a blockbuster deal with Allen Robinson to Pittsburgh, and then some scrub Aaron Rodgers being sent to the Jets. *end of sarcasm* There is definitely talk about the dynasty value implications that are rippling out from this trade and some players that you can jump on before the price gets too crazy. The real beef of this episode comes with the guys talking about the perfect fits for the oncoming rookies in the 2023 NFL Draft. Thank you as always for listening and if you have any questions or comments on your perfect fits you can let us know on Twitter @Misfit_FF or through our email at the.misfit.ff@gmail.com where one of the guys will agree with you (most likely Taylor), give a detailed informational as to why your choice is what it is (most likely Jance), or will disagree with the intensity of 1000 white hot suns (most likely JD) but we're all ears and love engaging with the ensemble of Misfits. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/mff2021/message
JD, Jance, and yes even Taylor are back at it this week bringing the conversation to players who we are trying to cash in on the value they currently have that could be drastically different after the draft whether it be a change in the positive or the negative. JD, Jacob, and Taylor talk about a variety of things from OBJ's signing and what that means for his dynasty value, dynasty conversations around Najee Harris, De'Andre Swift, and Michael Pittman Jr and how to proceed with them if they are on your dynasty roster. JD and Jance float this boat with conversations circling the 2023 WR rookie class. Now, not to over exaggerate the point but this class is comprised of mucho smaller prospects than we're used to seeing and the guys are slightly conflicted on how to value them going to the NFL. Obviously, NFL Draft capital dictates fantasy value for rookies more-so than most other categories but hey, we're here for the content. In this episode Jance and JD go a little bit deeper on several of the oncoming rookie RBs using their own evaluations and thoughts to help you dominate your rookie drafts. Yes there is a news section that they have their usual conversation about Lamar Jackson asking for a trade, in what is a sloppy situation that continues to get sloppier in regards to his current team. Today, JD and Jance are back in the saddle talking about some of the major RB Signings that impact dynasty rosters but for the sake of easy catch viewing here we mostly talk about the dynasty value of Miles Sanders CAR v David Montgomery DET v Rashaad Penny PHI and which player we find to have the most value for the next few seasons and shortly after we talk about other RBs just because we can and for funsies. The meat of the conversation today circles around some of the major rookie QBs coming into the 2023 class such as Will Levis, CJ Stroud, Bryce Young, and Hendon Hooker. Oh we also have a legitimate 20 minute conversation about the polarizing player of Anthony Richardson. Today Jance and Taylor tackle the recent happenings around the NFL including the always awesome yet maybe semi-irrelevant combine where we now have more measurables of the incoming class of rookies. JD is left by himself and his own vices so naturally he defaults into draft coverage because the excitement for the NFL Draft is beyond real. Hear what players he has his eyes on through the combine process to see who aids their draft stock the most in the NFL and subsequently your rookie drafts. He also peruses over some of the notable QB happenings in the NFL such as Aaron Rodgers emerging from the darkness, Derek Carr's future, and who he prefers to see be the QB in for Tampa Bay. Jance and JD have another pretty free flowing conversation about the QB and TE positions in dynasty. The QB conversation ranges from Lamar Jackson, Trey Lance and the SF QB position and how to handle that situation, and where the top 2 rookie QBs fit in to our dynasty rankings as of now. Is the QB position approaching a dark age like the RB because? The last swing on the conversation is covering the TE position from a dynast aspect with a keep, trade, cut question and mentioning a few players who may vault themselves up the ole rankings in 2023. The Jacobs are piloting this crazy train by theirselves on this one as they recap the Chiefs v Eagles Super Bowl and some general shenanery about that game, but then it really escalates. There was a working title for the second half of the show, but to be 100% real with you guys it just became a free flowing conversation about Dynasty football in general with plenty of in depth talk about Kyle Pitts, Cooper Kupp, Chris Godwin, and more with some real deep rabbit trails that go all over the place yet there is still things to be gleaned to not just help you to be better in 2023 but a better dynasty manager for your individual squad. The entirety of the group is back together as all three of the guys are back together going over the NFC and AFC Championship games with the some conversations from a pained Cowboys fan and a scorned loser of a bet they lost with their wife, aka JD, in the Chiefs v Bengals game. The real meat of this conversation circles around projecting the 2022 crop of rookie RBs and WRs for the 2023 year. We just hope that this series brings some light with how to value these players moving into the next cycle of the oncoming draft season. FINALLY the group is all back together with Taylor, Jance, and JD aligning in the single purpose to bring Dynasty goodness to all of the ears listening!! Downside, JD is once again supervised and is toned down a smidge bit from his usual spicy self so we all lose with that one I guess. In this episode, the guys briefly talk about the pain of a Cowboy fan as Taylor and Jance spearhead that but the real juice is the Rookie Mock Draft now that the declaration day has passed for the NFL Draft. Stay tuned for solid information and good conversations about players including a pretty shocking pick as high as 1.02 and the calamity followed by the calm at the very end of the episode! JD is all by his lonesome again on this one and as such, he kind of does whatever the heck he wants to do. Naturally this means he rants a little about the NFL playoff games and a dynasty story line or two to watch from those games, but lets be on the level here and outright admit that the conversation ends up circling mostly around 2023 QB confusion that surrounds a few teams. The beef of this episode is talking about the 2022 rookie QBs and TEs and how to value them progressing into 2023. Hint: there is a lot of talk that ends up centering around Brock Purdy and the Lamar Jackson situation. Later the TEs come in to focus and in retrospect, there are a few guys who offer hope to the position. In the waning moments of the episode, JD goes off on a rant and there is certainly some passion behind the words. JD and Jance are back at it and JD no longer sounds like a saw blade on concrete and Jance makes his return to the fray with Taylor away. In this episode the guys go over each IMPORTANT position. That means no TEs and no defensive player talk because this pair of Jacobs have moral standards, but what we do have is a comparison of preseason ADP for QBs, RBs, and WRs and compare them to the Week 17 Average Points per game to see how right and how wrong ADP was in the preseason. Late in the episode, the Demar Hamlin news broke and while we won't rehash anything that no relevant information has came out just yet outside of his vitals normalizing after receiving CPR on the field, all we will say is continue to offer prayers for the man, the man's family, and the man's fellowship of brothers in the NFL. JD is still unsupervised, which is never a recommended practice yet here we are again. Today, with him still sounding like a washboard basin as an instrument, he talks through a Superflex Rookie draft. Yes, it is still December. Yes, it still happened. No, his voice did not get any better. Stick around to hear the goodies that come with the episode especially a conversation about trading back from 1.01 in Dynasty Superflex and 2 QB leagues and a brief look into some players that JD really REALLY likes this early in the process. This episode is going to need a double, nay triple stacked paper plate because this Thanksgiving Episode is a thicc boy. Jance, JD, and Taylor cover the Week 11 recap as best as they can because life happened and they could only find time on Sunday evening to record but they cover all of the games sans the Sunday night and Monday night games. They recap a recent mock draft and have conversations about the dynasty relevant players taken in the first round such as Jahmyr Gibbs, BIjan Robinson, Kayshon Boutte, Bryce Young Jr., and more so enjoy that little thought exercise. The second half comes in strong with a Thanksgiving Food Draft and let's just say that you may get hungry listening to that section because Lord knows that the guys did. Lastly they preview the Week 12 games to end this Thanksgiving sized episode. Thank you as always for listening and don't forget to leave us a 5 star rating and a good review from whatever platform you may be listening from! You can contact us and find the Thanksgiving Food Draft on our Twitter @Misfit_FF or submit your questions to the.misfit.ff@gmail.com and if you get lucky enough, we may just read your question on an upcoming episode. Thank you as always to pixabay.com for the sound effect and for AlexGrohl for the legit intro/outro music. Alex. We're thankful for your talents. As mentioned the draft pick website is https://www.drafttek.com/default.asp and its a super cool resource to help plan your next rookie draft pick investment. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/mff2021/message
JD pilots this one by himself today because no one loves him and is too busy doing other "things," what tools and fools for leaving him unsupervised. Buffoons. Anyways, Jacob covers recent news in the NFL and then goes off on some mostly guided adventure talking about what makes a fantasy draft pick a successful and how to feel about certain picks by going back a few rookie drafts talking about certain players and their perceived value vs where they were drafted at, there is good information in there just hang around for it. The second half he goes over Week 11 with a dynasty storyline to pay attention to this week. Thank you for hanging out and remember to let us know if Jacob made the right choice to sell his elite players to begin a rebuild on our Twitter @Misfit_FF or through our email at the.misfit.ff@gmail.com. On this episode Jance and JD go over some of the recent news but most importantly they have some teams that they'd like to target heading into 2023 by making moves for players today that have big dividends tomorrow. Yes, there is a team that you have to use your imagination with because you have to walk down narrative street a bit but its fun to be there. On a gloomier note they also mention some teams they are trying to stay away/trade away from in 2023 and the answer is yes, it will hurt your heart a touch to hear. After the break the guys preview the Week 10 games with a storyline to watch in each game that has a dynasty impact to your rosters as well as some other general shenanery as per the usual. In today's episode the guys get lost in conversations about food because let's be real, it was late at the time of recording and we were both really REALLY hungry turns into some good conversation about knowing your roster and when to buy, sell, or hold your young but talented players based on your season-ending projection. Hint: Know Thy Roster. In the second half they guys go over what happened in Week 9 and some dynasty things we can glean from what happened. As always, thank you for listening and don't forget to leave a 5 star rating and review from whatever platform you may be listening from and if you want to make contact with us you can find us on Twitter @Misfit_FF and through our email at the.misfit.ff@gmail.com. All three of the guys are back together again and with ISP struggles again they navigate as best as they can through the shenanery. The first half of the episode the guys have a conversation about some of the NFL trades that happened before the deadline and their dynasty implications *hint*not much changed* The second half the guys make their way through the Week 9 matchups giving a bit of a fantasy take per each game and something to keep and eye on for dynasty's sake. Thank you for hanging with us through ISP issues and other unforseen garbage that happened. AlexGrohl we appreciate you for your musical abilities for the legit intro/outro. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/mff2021/message
You've managed yourself through Halloween and have found yourself standing in the candy isle on November 1 buying all of the half priced candy you can because its what you do best and find yourself back with us again, congratulations you've hit a high point in your life! In this episode Jance and JD give some general roster building tips ranging from cornerstone position groups, like a young and talented WR/QBs that will stick around for longer than the average RB, and how to value, assess, and process your dynasty roster from an objective standpoint. As a first half bonus they briefly discuss who could take the Jalen Hurts/Josh Allen leap if they acquired a superstar WR and our conversation is mostly based around Daniel Jones, Justin Fields, and Trevor Lawrence. In the second half the Jacobs go over pertinent questions per game such as is it time to sell high on De'Andre Swift, who do you trust more in 2023 D.J. Moore or Kyle Pitts, and is it finally time to smash the Najee Harris panic button? A Jacob says yes and another Jacob says maybe, find out who is who as you listen and let us know your thoughts on our Twitter @Misfit_FF or through our email at the.misfit.ff@gmail.com. Welp. It happened. The stars aligned and the perfect harmony of chaos happened and the guys left JD unsupervised so brace yourselves for what may come. This episode has it all with commissioner rants, keep/trade/cut segment courtesy of keeptradecut.com, and some talk of some rather aged QBs. The second half is filled with Week 8 preview and the conversations between a man and himself. Simply put, a lot has happened since the last episode was released including some big sad moments with Breece Hall tearing his ACL being the biggest and most notable one that has obvious Dynasty implications so all three, yes all three, guys weigh in with their takes plus the myriad of other injuries that took place over the weekend as well. They take a different slant towards the Week 7 games by asking a few questions for each game and having the group give their answers such as what is the value of Breece Hall in Dynasty, is this the end of the fantasy line for Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady, and a lot more so be sure to listen in and if you have your questions you can ask the guys on Twitter @Misfit_FF or make contact through our email at the.misfit.ff@gmail.com. Thank you as always for listening and don't forget to give us a 5 star rating and review from whatever platform you may be listening through!! Thank you as always to AlexGrohl for the awesome intro/outro song. The boys are back at it again bringing not only a touch of chaotic good times but also some sound fantasy football advice with Jance and JD holding down the fort today. The guys go through the NFC and AFC West Divisions in the NFL and give some Dynasty Divisional Deep(ish) Dives where they talk about each team at this point in the season and what dynasty goodies that they may be holding for your roster, they go over just a full blown buffet of dynasty possibilities with the Chiefs, Chargers, Broncos, Raiders, Rams, Cardinals, 49ers, and Seahawks. After that they sprint through the upcoming games with some advice on who is a worthwhile consideration for your lineups this weekend. Yes, JD's ISP tries its best to derail the joy. Yes, the recording platform flips us the bird. Yes, the show continued on. Thank you for listening in through the chaos and if you'd like to find who to blame for our issues you can find us @Misfit_FF or our email the.misfit.ff@gmail.com. Thank you as always to AlexGrohl from pixabay.com for our hot intro/outro and thank you to Onzman for the fail sound. Taylor finds a way to escape his books and studying to find himself back on the podcast and is ready to rant out the pent up aggression from the fickle nature of the fantasy gods. They both kind of feed off of each others' saltiness and cover some of the injuries from Week 6, surprising events taking place such as the inevitable splitting of Cam Akers and the LA Rams and the mass confusion surrounding that whole situation, lastly they somehow end up ranting about the Dynasty RB Dark Ages with a little sprinkling of conversation with the current projected 2023 crop of RBs. The second half they cover the events of Week 6 in the NFL with a dynasty angle or two in there somewhere including Ron Rivera is Matt Rhule just older, is Aaron Rodgers just average without Davante Adams, and what to do with your Panthers that are on dynasty rosters. Thank you as always for listening, leave us a 5 star rating and review from whatever platform you're listening from! As per the usual, thank you AlexGrohl for the legit intro/outro.
