Sure we may make sure hair is right outfit is together even our new diet workout plan is working. But the true reflection is one we all need to get to know and better understand. No man is an island to himself. To be out on ones own comes at a cost that no one is truly willing or designed to pay. The clique mentality or group gang mindset is natural thing God himself actually put in us. However how we decide to get off these islands of isolation and join the right team is key. Who are you looking to for you model figures? Social media figures, celebrities, movie stars, pastors, parents? The narrative around success and what it looks like seems to be a moving target no a days. The goal post being moved for certain individuals and not others is a dangerous way of thinking that has spread at a pace that has crept its way into the church. The standard is the standard. Or is it??

To sin or not to sin that is the question. Right? Sounds so simple doesn't it? Then why not just choose the right answer? I mean just make the right decision. Don't eat that extra piece of pie, don't take that phone call or text, don't go to that bar. Yet somehow we continue to go down the wrong paths time in and out over and over. What is the missing piece here? Why do people continue to choose wrong? Both naturally and spiritually we just keep making bad decisions and choosing wrong. When backed into a corner is it ok for us as believers to defend ourselves? Physically defend oneself. What about someone crawling through the window in the middle of the night? In this heavily capitalistic number driven society we as believers can sometimes find it hard to try to quantify the job we are doing as spreading the gospel and ultimately converting people to the faith.
