I think we all know by now that I am a sales person, even now after X amount of years I still get excited by a sale! Is that even normal? Who knows but it’s who I am and it’s also the reason that I have taken the decision to release the Smart Leaders Sell podcasts twice a month from now on. I’m sure it makes sense to you all that, if I can't sell from a podcast, or if there's not something that is relevant for me to sell for a podcast, then I can't spend as much time on it. We’ve been running now for nearly three years and just under three hundred episodes which is amazing and I really enjoy spending time with you guys and love reading your reviews so please keep them coming and, to reassure you, no quality will be compromised and we will still have amazing guests and awesome subjects. I have been running the Selling to Corporate podcast for just over a year now and I started it because I believe that, no matter your type of business, every business owner should be putting in place a corporate revenue stream and adding a corporate revenue stream to their business. So, if you haven’t already done so grab the link and tune in. Moving onto today’s episode and, just in case you were panicking that you might have to burst into song there’s nothing musical about it at all! When we talk about tone deaf as it pertains to sales, generally it means that either the salesperson is overly optimistic or overly pessimistic. They are either looking at every single signal that a prospect is giving them as being a buying signal, and avoiding anything that looks like an objection or rejection and that can make them difficult to tolerate. Which is why I want to share with you how you can still sell in all types of environments and situations, study the practical things that you need to be doing to operate your business yet still be a good human being. I’ll be going into much more detail about this in the episode but, for now I want to share with you: How by using motivational sales you can communicate better and build effective relationships with your audience. Sell effectively, sales strategies are always changing so learn how to shift and adapt to them. Quotes: ‘Sometimes you have to look at the other things that are going on in your business and where you can actually justify spending the time.’ ‘When we talk about tone deaf as it pertains to sales, generally it means that either the salesperson is overly optimistic or overly pessimistic.’ ‘The world cannot keep turning without an economy. That's something I firmly believe, the world has to have an economy and that economy has to be stimulated.’ Remember, reviews help us to let more people know about Smart Leaders Sell, so please take a moment to leave a review on your podcast player! https://smartleaderssell.com/how-to-add-an-podcast-review/ Email Jess Jessica@JessicaLorimer.com The C Suite® https://bit.ly/join-the-c-suite® Smart Leaders Sell https://smartleaderssell.com/ Products and Courses https://smartleaderssell.com/products-and-courses/ Selling To Corporate FB Group https://www.facebook.com/groups/sellingtocorporate/ More Jess! www.facebook.com/JessicaLorimerSuccessCoach/ linkedin.com/in/jesslorimer https://www.instagram.com/jess_lorimer/ Content Disclaimer The information contained above is provided for information purposes only. How many balls can you really juggle in one hand? And, before you start trying, that was a metaphorical question! However, you can only multi-task so far before you do start dropping them and once that happens, it’s hard work trying to pick them up again. It’s been tough, so tough for everyone the past few months, your daily routine may have changed drastically and certain commitments have been encroaching on your business leaving you with little time for maneuver. Which is why Jess has designed this week’s episode to help you to bring structure and clarity to your working week. Helping you to understand the most important activity of the day and sharing with you her free Daily Sales Activity Guide, this is an episode which will help you to get your working week back on track. Jess is sharing with you: Firefighting isn’t a healthy option and neither is context switching so learn how to maximise your time and add structure to your working week. Why making time for at least one sales activity per day will help you achieve the income results you want. The importance of making that sales activity a priority, don’t waste your time on non revenue generating activities, make it the first action of your daily schedule. Quotes: ‘When we're looking at maximising our time, we have to actually structure or start structuring our weeks for success.’ ‘We're constantly putting our brains under this stress. So timeout is absolutely essential to making sure your business is able to operate at high capacity the following week.’ Remember, reviews help us to let more people know about Smart Leaders Sell, so please take a moment to leave a review on your podcast player! https://smartleaderssell.com/how-to-add-an-podcast-review/ Email Jess Jessica@JessicaLorimer.com The C Suite® http://bit.ly/The_C_Suite Daily Corporate Sales Activities Guide http://bit.ly/corporateactivitiesguide SLS049 Selling every day with Emma Langton http://bit.ly/SmartLeadersSell049 Smart Leaders Sell https://smartleaderssell.com/ Products and Courses https://smartleaderssell.com/products-and-courses/ Selling To Corporate FB Group https://www.facebook.com/groups/sellingtocorporate/ More Jess! www.facebook.com/JessicaLorimerSuccessCoach/ linkedin.com/in/jesslorimer https://www.instagram.com/jess_lorimer/ Content Disclaimer The information contained above is provided for information purposes only. How are your sales calls working out for you? Are you a natural salesperson or do you find even the thought of picking up the phone quite hair raising? You’ve spent an hour on the phone to a prospective client, leaving them feeling great about themselves and their business but, instead of clinching a sale, all you have gained is another new buddy? There are far too many obstacles which get in the way of actually converting a sales call which is why Jess is helping you to learn how to actually turn a prospect into a client on today’s episode. So, instead of supporting the person, determine how you are going to provide them with the clarity they need on the sales call to make their decision and to convert your call into a sale. Jess is sharing with you: Changing the sales mindset, sales aren’t sleazy anymore and haven’t been for about 20 years so move on, modernise them and get selling How to manage your sales calls to gain higher sales conversion rates, structure your calls, make them transparent and give the prospective client clarity Tracking your sales calls, work out how you could have directed the call differently, was it structure correctly, did you ‘unsell’ yourself, what went wrong and what worked Quotes: ‘We have to start seeing the sales calls as a two way process, you have to want them as a client, and they have to want you as a coach.’ ‘Our job is to give people the best option that is most likely to fit their need.’ ‘Clarity is really powerful for people, rather than using information to help somebody gain clarity, we actually have to use questioning.’ Remember, reviews help us to let more people know about Smart Leaders Sell, so please take a moment to leave a review on your podcast player! https://smartleaderssell.com/how-to-add-an-podcast-review/ SLS002 Never Hear Another No On A Sales Call http://bit.ly/SmartLeadersSell002 Sales Scripts and Objection handling guides http://bit.ly/SS-and-OH-Guides Email Jess Jessica@JessicaLorimer.com The C Suite® http://bit.ly/The_C_Suite Smart Leaders Sell https://smartleaderssell.com/ Products and Courses https://smartleaderssell.com/products-and-courses/ Selling To Corporate FB Group https://www.facebook.com/groups/sellingtocorporate/ More Jess! www.facebook.com/JessicaLorimerSuccessCoach/ linkedin.com/in/jesslorimer https://www.instagram.com/jess_lorimer/ Content Disclaimer The information contained above is provided for information purposes only. My podcast today is about customer service, is it soon to be a long lost art through modern day ‘bots’ and automatic responders? Only time will tell but before I continue I have to address racial discrimination. Discrimination of any kind has no place in my community. To me, it doesn’t matter who you are, you will always be treated with the respect you deserve regardless of gender, creed, disability or race inside and outside of my business by myself and my team. However, we all have to acknowledge that racism still exists, it is just another accepted part of society and that alone is so incredibly inhumane and sad. We all need to take responsibility, learn how to recognise it and learn how to better educate ourselves against it. We need to learn how not to be ignorant, we all need to share our hearts and create an equal world, to make a better world which we can all be proud to be a part of. I have created a safe space in my community for anyone to share their thoughts and my team and I are being educated on discrimination. If you feel you would like to send me your comments or give constructive advice, I'm always open to changing things to make the world a better place in general. Do you realise how much damage poor customer service can affect your business, do you feel that, as you have your ‘bot’ and other automations set up that there isn’t a need for customer service anymore, will you still get the sales you want, reach the higher profit margins? I’m here to share with you why good quality customer service will never go out of date or be successfully replaced by automation systems. People need to feel valued and looked after otherwise the only reviews your business will be getting will be negative ones regardless of whether you are absolutely brilliant at what you do. Tune in today to hear more, I know it’s been a long episode and I appreciate you taking the time to listen to it and also perhaps to leave a review, we really do appreciate them I’m sharing the following with you today: How to create relationships with your customers making them feel valued and comfortable with the service they are receiving The importance of treating everyone in the same manner, be calm, polite, concise, respectful and create boundaries your client will understand. Leave your problems at home, the customer takes priority and doesn’t deserve to be on the end of your bad temper Quotes: ‘I genuinely like and respect you. And I think that you care about my experience as a black woman in this white world.’ - Anonymous ‘Good customer service means that customers come back, it means the customers refer us.’ Remember, reviews help us to let more people know about Smart Leaders Sell, so please take a moment to leave a review on your podcast player! https://smartleaderssell.com/how-to-add-an-podcast-review/ Email Jess Jessica@JessicaLorimer.com Kay Fabella https://kayfabella.com/category/podcast/ The C Suite® http://bit.ly/The_C_Suite Me and White Supremacy Black Lives Matter movement Smart Leaders Sell https://smartleaderssell.com/ Products and Courses https://smartleaderssell.com/products-and-courses/ Selling To Corporate FB Group https://www.facebook.com/groups/sellingtocorporate/ More Jess! www.facebook.com/JessicaLorimerSuccessCoach/ linkedin.com/in/jesslorimer https://www.instagram.com/jess_lorimer/ Content Disclaimer The information contained above is provided for information purposes only. We all get caught up in the daily routine of multi tasking which is exhausting and time wasting. I’m not a magician by any means but these three things will definitely help you find the time for your sales activities and won't eat into the things you really want to do. In this episode we are discussing: Don’t get sucked into Facebook or your emails, make a sales activity the first activity of your day, learn how to plan your day to maximise your time effectively Instead of your clients just consuming your content tell them how to use it to their benefit, add a call of action to every piece of content you write Stop the multi tasking and context switching, plan and schedule your time to work for you and your business Quotes: “ Sometimes it's not about looking at the time you don't have because of what else is filled up off and feeling resentful, like, Oh, I have kids or or I have a dog or I have, you know, whatever else I have to go and do. It's about looking at how can I actually maximise the time that I do have?” Remember, reviews help us to let more people know about Smart Leaders Sell, so please take a moment to leave a review on your podcast player! If you are confident and know what type of personality you are then I’m here to show you how you can use it to your best advantage, helping you make more sales to become more profitable. In this episode I am sharing with you the three main personality types and which sales methods work best with them. So if you love being on social media, are reactive and enjoy sharing motivational posts then you may have an aspirational personality - it doesn’t mean you like to be in the limelight, it merely demonstrates that if you do the work you will get the results! Can you relate to peoples’ traumas and difficulties in life, would you say you are introverted? If you like to build genuine relationships with people then you may have an emotional personality type, sensitive and caring. FOMO - Fear of missing out! Are you passionate, enjoy the adrenaline and excitement of getting a sale but don’t necessarily enjoy the boring munitia that goes into the delivery, creation and content? Quotes: “ At the 2019 converting corporate event, one of the biggest things that our hiring manager panel said was that they valued humanity and personality, over 80% of other sales traits “ Remember, reviews help us to let more people know about Smart Leaders Sell, so please take a moment to leave a review on your podcast player!
