Brian, Blake, and Richard are back for Episode 628 of the Chasing Tone Podcast - AI ad scandals, Hot pink Les Pauls, and silent camping confessions  A big manufacturer may have landed themselves in hot water by allegedly using AI-generated music in an ad, and the guys weigh in on whether they actually did or whether the internet jumped the gun. This leads to a broader conversation about the commoditization of creative work - from vinyl to Kindle to AI - and Richard makes a bold prediction about the future value of software. He is probably wrong as he is a raging buffoon. The Billy Joe Armstrong Les Paul Jr has arrived in what Richard insists is hot pink and Brian would quite like to turn into a Les Paul Standard. Richard has been rediscovering his P90 Telecaster and is loving life in drop tuning, while Blake claims ownership of Drop Q. The guys take a nostalgic trip through spirit duplicators, Spy vs Spy, Outrun soundtracks, and the lost art of the music fanzine before debating whether Brian should launch a Bob Ross-style breadboarding channel.  Brian confesses to watching silent camping videos before bed, Blake likes horror movies, and Richard watches people paint. The G-Wagon business death indicator is established as peer-reviewed science, and the golden rule of luxury cars is laid down: if you can't afford two, you can't afford one. Unless it's pedals, in which case borrow money and buy three.Spirit Duplicators, The Ecosystem Trap, Happy Little Op Amps, Shlinkedin Shminkedin, Out Run... it's all in this week's Chasing Tone!We are on Patreon now too!Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/chasingtonepodcast)Courses and DIY mods:https://www.bluesguitarmethod.comhttps://www.betterguitartone.comhttps://www.wamplerdiy.comhttps://www.guitarpedalcourse.comCheck out Oliver Effects:https://oliverfx.co.ukYoutube:https://www.youtube.com/@chasingtonepodcastFind us at:https://www.wamplerpedals.com/https://www.instagram.com/WamplerPedals/https://www.facebook.com/groups/wamplerfanpage/Support the show

In this intense, uncensored episode, TruthSeekah and Arien share their raw testimony of diving deep into dark witchcraft, spells, and the occult, only to find themselves tormented by shadow entities and demonic oppression. What started as seeking spiritual power quickly spiraled out of control.Their journey to find a safe haven and true spiritual freedom led them right into the doors of the Hosanna Assembly of God in Louisiana. Little did they know, this church would soon explode into national headlines as a cult, the very real scandal that inspired HBO's True Detective Season 1. From surviving an 8-foot shadow entity attack in an open field to coughing up blood and hitting absolute rock bottom, this is a story of extreme spiritual warfare. But more importantly, it is a story of radical redemption.Hear exactly how Jesus and the fire of the Holy Spirit provided instant deliverance, and how true Biblical mysticism differs from the dark traps of the occult.

JeaNette Smith is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who authored Side by Side: Supporting a Spouse in Church Service to help couples keep their relationships strong and connected amidst demanding Church callings or busy careers. Her inspiration for the book came early in her career while her husband, Bret, was serving as a bishop, leading her to study how couples can actively grow closer rather than drift apart during intense seasons of service. Over their years together, JeaNette and Bret have put these principles into practice across numerous callings, including three bishoprics, a branch presidency, a stake presidency, and as mission leaders in the Dominican Republic. JeaNette is a frequent contributor to Meridian Magazine and the author of two books on adolescent romance. JeaNette and Bret are the parents of four children and the grandparents of fifteen. They continue to work side by side in their family life and with their grandchildren. Links Side by Side: Supporting a Spouse in Church Service Watch the video and share your thoughts in the Zion Lab community Transcript available with the video in the Zion Lab community Highlights JeaNette explores how couples can navigate demanding Church callings without straining their relationship. Drawing on her personal background supporting her husband across various leadership roles and her professional expertise, JeaNette emphasizes that Church callings should be treated as shared, couple-centered opportunities that strengthen marriages rather than burden them. Key Insights Viewing Callings as a Team Effort: Demanding leadership positions run much smoother and foster deeper connection when couples view the assignment as a joint effort, with the leader using their spouse as a trusted sounding board and counselor. Navigating Confidentiality Wisely: Leaders should refrain from complete emotional isolation; while specific names and details must remain private, sharing emotional burdens, general concerns, and spiritual joys keeps the couple connected and avoids emotional drift. Emotional Availability Matters Most: Marital tension rarely stems from physical absence alone; it arises when leaders become emotionally disengaged and fail to share their inner thoughts and feelings with their spouse. Prioritizing Intentional Connection: Daily practices—such as morning companionship scripture study, short check-ins, or casual dates—help maintain alignment and ensure open channels of communication. Maintaining Appropriate Motives and Boundaries: Spouses must approach confidential insights with pure motives aimed at lifting burdens rather than satisfying curiosity, while leaders must genuinely value their spouse’s wisdom as an equal partner. Prioritizing Personal Self-Care: Spouses and leaders alike must prioritize self-care and personal well-being to avoid resentment and build the capacity needed to serve others effectively. Leadership Applications Integrate Daily Companionship Study: Leaders can establish a daily routine with their spouse to study scriptures, pray, and discuss upcoming ward or stake needs together to invite shared revelation. Share the Emotional Weight Without Oversharing: Leaders can share their personal feelings, fatigue, or spiritual insights with their spouse to process stress safely without revealing confidential names or specific details. Involve Your Spouse in Leadership Activities: Where appropriate, leaders can invite their spouses to attend youth activities, missionary setting-aparts, or stake events together to make service a fun, shared experience. 00:02:00 – Jeanette’s Background Jeanette shares her personal experiences as a bishop’s wife and her professional background as a marriage and family therapist. 00:04:30 – Navigating Marriage and Church Callings Discussion on how church callings can strain relationships and the importance of turning these challenges into opportunities for growth. 00:07:00 – The Importance of Communication Exploration of the need for open communication between spouses regarding church responsibilities and the emotional burdens they carry. 00:09:30 – Confidentiality and Trust Jeanette emphasizes the balance between confidentiality in church leadership and the necessity of sharing feelings and experiences with one's spouse. 00:12:00 – Shared Experiences in Leadership The significance of couples working together in church callings and how it strengthens their relationship. 00:15:00 – Companionship Study Jeanette discusses the practice of companionship study and its benefits for couples in leadership roles. 00:18:00 – Advice for Newly Called Couples Tips for couples newly called to leadership positions on how to navigate their responsibilities together. 00:21:00 – Maintaining Trustworthiness The importance of being a trustworthy spouse and the need to keep confidences regarding ward matters. 00:23:30 – Friendship Dynamics Discussion on the shift in relationships for bishop’s wives and the importance of maintaining friendships outside of church. 00:26:00 – Self-Care for Spouses Jeanette highlights the necessity of self-care for spouses in leadership to better support their partners. 00:29:00 – Emotional Availability Exploration of the difference between physical presence and emotional availability in a marriage. 00:32:00 – Navigating Different Experiences The challenges of reconnecting after church meetings and the importance of sharing spiritual experiences with one another. 00:35:00 – Handling Difficult Situations Jeanette shares a personal story about navigating sensitive situations while maintaining a strong marriage. 00:38:00 – Date Night and Connection The role of date nights in fostering connection and communication between spouses. 00:40:00 – Pure Motives in Communication The importance of having pure motives when discussing church matters and supporting each other. 00:43:00 – Seeking Help and Humility Encouragement for leaders to seek help when needed and to be humble about their struggles. 00:45:00 – Avoiding Judgment The need for spouses to refrain from forming judgments about others in the ward and the importance of compassion. I loved learning, but eventually I had to confront an uncomfortable truth: knowing what to do and doing it are not the same thing. In this episode, I explore the difference between self help and self leadership. One gathers tools. The other uses them. Both have value. But only one creates meaningful change. If you've ever felt like you know exactly what you need to do but still aren't doing it, this conversation is for you. Because the goal was never to become an expert in personal development. Evan Koster has guided archery elk hunts in Colorado's Flat Tops for over a decade. This conversation covers everything that actually matters going into an archery elk season — and plenty of what hunters think matters that doesn't.Colorado is in a historic drought, and Evan breaks down what that means for where elk will be in September — it's not about elevation, it's about feed quality, and aspens are the answer. From there we get into how to search unknown country efficiently, why elevation and trailhead distance are myths that kill more hunts than help them, and Evan's counterintuitive wind rule: he doesn't think about it until he's within 500 yards. We dig into the stalk psychology mistake most hunters make, how to locate elk with a bugle using line-of-sight, how to read a bull's commitment level, and the one-sentence answer Evan would give any archer who wanted to kill more elk: take chances. We close on the honest reality of horseback elk hunting. In this episode:Colorado drought 2027 — what it means for elk distribution in SeptemberFeed quality over elevation — why aspens are the concentration zone in a dry yearHow to search unknown country vs. country you knowThe elevation myth and the trailhead distance myth — both cost hunters elkWind: the 500-yard rule and why most hunters have the psychology completely backwardsBugling as a two-way radio — why line-of-sight matters for locating elkWhen to move on from a spot and when to go back in closeThe one thing Evan would change about any archer to make them more successfulHorseback elk reality — "don't, unless you're already into horses"Booking 2027 hunts with LKS Outfitters nowGuest: Evan Koster — Lead guide, LKS Outfitters / Flat Tops Wilderness Guides.ftguides.comhttps://www.instagram.com/flattopswildernessguides/---FOLLOW CLIFFYouTube - https://www.youtube.com/c/CliffGrayInstagram - https://www.instagram.com/Cliffgry/Facebook - https://facebook.com/PursuitWithCliffPursuit With Cliff Podcasthttps://pursuitwithcliff.com/interviews-and-podcasts/Cliff's Hunt Planning and Strategy Membership https://pursuitwithcliff.com/membership/Hunt. For over half a century official institutions have systematically denied the reality of UFO abductions while dismissing terrified witnesses as victims of hallucination or sleep paralysis. But what happens when the people forced to deal with the physical fallout are trained combat medics and frontline healthcare professionals? In this explosive episode veteran British Army medic and NHS paramedic Paul Ascough steps forward to break the silence of a lifetime.Having spent decades investigating the darkest corners of paranormal encounters as a long standing member of the British UFO Research Association Ascough reveals the chilling medical evidence that mainstream science refuses to touch. Ascough brings unprecedented clinical authority to medic disclosure drawing from a career spent saving lives while secretly documenting Yorkshire UFO sightings. As a seasoned BUFORA researcher he argues that consciousness and high strangeness are fundamentally linked posing a direct threat to our everyday reality. Are we dealing with visiting extraterrestrials or something far more ancient and deceptive lurking right beneath our noses? For generations the medical community has acted as an unwitting gatekeeper for institutional secrets ignoring physical evidence of paranormal encounters and psychological trauma caused by non human forces. True disclosure requires breaking the code of silence enforced by medical establishments to expose what emergency responders encounter on the front lines of high strangeness. In this episode former British Army Staff Sergeant and NHS paramedic Paul Ascough shares the unvarnished reality of his five decade journey into ufology. Operating as a dedicated BUFORA researcher Ascough investigates the terrifying overlap between UFO abductions and traditional supernatural folklore. He exposes how systemic military cover ups actively suppress public awareness of extra dimensional phenomena impacting everyday citizens.Discussing landmark Yorkshire UFO sightings documented through the British UFO Research Association Ascough emphasizes that these events are not isolated anomalies but part of a persistent global pattern. He examines the realm of consciousness and high strangeness explaining how unexplained entities manipulate human perception and physical space. The popular narrative that UFOs are simply metal ships piloted by physical beings from distant planets is dangerously naive. According to veteran investigators the truth is far stranger more elusive and deeply integrated into the fabric of human consciousness itself. In this gripping episode veteran military medic and long time researcher Paul Ascough explores how extra dimensional phenomena operate right beside us completely unseen by the distracted masses. Drawing from a 50 year career as a BUFORA researcher and a frontline responder for the British UFO Research Association Ascough unpacks the chilling mechanics behind UFO abductions and bizarre paranormal encounters. He critiques the pervasive culture of military cover ups that prevents meaningful disclosure from entering mainstream medical curricula. From investigating classic Yorkshire UFO sightings to treating trauma victims who have stared into the abyss of the unknown Ascough provides unmatched clinical insight. He argues that consciousness and high strangeness allow unexplained entities to bypass our technological defenses and manipulate reality from the inside out. Are these entities interdimensional tricksters spiritual parasites or architects of a hidden future? Avoiding Local Hierarchies: Over-regulation by local leadership can accidentally create organizational barriers that prevent auxiliary leaders from fully acting within their stewardships. The Spirit of Relief Society: The true, foundational purpose of the Relief Society is providing local, practical relief and ministering rather than just organizing social activities. Scriptural Continuity: Studying scriptural women—such as Ruth, Rahab, Sarah, and Hannah—reveals flawed but profoundly faithful individuals whose inter-generational commitments parallel modern sisterhood. Mindful Social Media Use: Platforms use algorithms designed to trigger primitive emotional responses like anger and comparison; creators and consumers must intentionally cultivate self-awareness to remain peacemakers online. Supporting Male Experiences: Ward groups must also remain attentive to the emotional, mental health, and connection needs of men, as structural shifts and heavy callings can leave them feeling disconnected. Leadership Applications Encourage Autonomous Ministering: Bishops can empower Relief Society presidencies by explicitly clarifying which matters require priesthood approval and which allow them to act independently to provide immediate community relief. Foster Local Adjustments: Ward leaders can prioritize home-centered gatherings or small-group rotations to break down ward cliques without requiring formal budgets or institutional approval. Dans ce deuxième épisode de la série de l'été, on part en Bretagne cueillir des cerises avec Lisa, on fait une tarte, et on croise une Mamie. À vous de trouver où se cache le 90 ! A trip back to Brittany, 2013: cherry picking with my daughter, a homemade tart, and an old neighbor lending me her rolling pin. This episode is a slice of real family life in French – and a little puzzle: can you spot where the number ninety is hiding in the story? Along the way, I pick up something linguistically fascinating: the Mamie speaks with subject-verb inversion, a pattern shaped by a lifetime of speaking Breton. It's the kind of authentic regional French you won't find in a textbook. This summer, no pen, no notebook – just listening and speaking.  Subscribers receive a podcast letter with this episode: a question to think about before pressing play, cultural markers to go deeper into the episode, three everyday expressions to say out loud, and a comprehension question to answer once you've heard the whole story. Leave us a messge!!///// RE-RELEASE/////In this back catalog re-release of Krystine's FLR Podcast, I talk about power exchange in a female-led relationship and how different that can look from one couple to another.A lot of people still hear “female-led relationship” and automatically think BDSM, whips, chains, abuse, or some extreme version of domination. I want to help break that stigma. Yes, some FLRs include BDSM, chastity, humiliation, ruined orgasms, financial control, or other forms of power exchange. But not all of them do, and they sure do not have to.In this episode, I talk about how an FLR can be defined by whatever works for the people actually living it. Maybe the woman is the breadwinner. Maybe she makes the decisions. Maybe she controls the money. Maybe she delegates the money management because she does not want to deal with it. Maybe the relationship is equal in day-to-day life, but she takes full control in the bedroom. Maybe the dynamic is 24/7. Maybe it is not.I also talk about our own relationship and how, from the outside, we might look backwards compared to what people expect from an FLR. My husband is the primary breadwinner, and I handle a lot of the home life. But he is still deeply attentive, service-minded, supportive, and committed to making my life better. That is part of our power exchange. The biggest point is that you get to make your FLR your own. There is no single correct version. There is no rulebook that says your dynamic has to look extreme, sexual, public, or perfectly labeled. The level of power exchange in your relationship is determined by you and your partner, and the only hard rule is that it has to be consensual.5 Talking PointsFLR does not have to mean BDSMI talk about how female-led relationships have traditionally been associated with BDSM, but that definition is too narrow. An FLR can include kink, but it does not have to.You get to define your own power exchangeEvery couple gets to decide what female leadership looks like for them. It might involve money, decision-making, service, bedroom control, domestic roles, or emotional support. There is no single correct FLR structureSome relationships may look traditionally female-led from the outside, while others may not. What matters is not how outsiders label it. What matters is whether the dynamic works for the people living it.Power exchange can benefit both partnersI talk about why some men may enjoy letting go of control, especially if they carry a lot of responsibility in daily life. For some submissive men, being told what to do and serving their partner can bring fulfillment, peace, and purpose.Confidence is one of the biggest gifts FLR has given meFor me, one of the biggest benefits of this relationship has not just been power or control. It has been confidence. This dynamic has helped me feel stronger, sexier, more grounded, and more certain in the life I am choosing. To find that Audio versions of the FLR Skool courses, just click here.Or FLRSkool SubscribeSupport the showWant to keep this conversation going?Join us inside FLRSkool.com — where real couples are having real conversations about female-led relationships! Leading Without a Title: Formal authority is not a prerequisite for impact; some of the most profound leadership occurs when individuals step forward to influence and lift others without holding an official calling or position. Emotional Regulation: Effective leaders act as thermostats rather than thermometers. They actively set the emotional temperature and bring stability to a room during high-stress situations instead of merely reacting to the environment. Gratitude as a Multiplier: Practicing deliberate gratitude serves as a cognitive interrupter that shifts a leader's mindset from defensive, reactionary conflict to collaborative, executive problem-solving. Extending Trust: While being trustworthy is a basic requirement, exceptional leadership requires actively extending trust to others, which fosters their potential and builds long-term confidence. Intentional Time Investment: Human life consists of a finite number of seconds. Leaders must prioritize their weekly focus around essential tasks and specific individuals to build deep, lasting connections. Leadership Applications Implementing the 5×4 Method: Latter-day Saint leaders can organize their weekly schedules by identifying five critical objectives and four specific people to intentionally reach out to and lift up. Expressing Written Appreciation: Ward and stake leaders can cultivate a supportive culture by sending regular, handwritten notes of gratitude to members, validating their voluntary service and building deep organizational trust. In this “Zion Lab Live” episode, Kurt Francom facilitates a live community discussion analyzing recent topics in Zion Lab. The conversation focuses on improving the Sunday meeting experience, addressing the unique cultural and social needs of men in the church, and managing the mental capacity of local leaders. Watch the video and share your thoughts in the Zion Lab community Transcript available with the video in the Zion Lab community Highlights Key Insights US Constitution Fifth Sunday Lessons: Community feedback regarding the church-mandated Fifth Sunday lessons was generally positive, highlighting a respectful, non-political tone and a spiritual framing of the topic. However, participants noted areas for logistical improvement, such as better structured small-group discussions for youth. The Masculine Experience in Church: There is a perceived gap in curated institutional resources and dedicated advisory councils on the church level specifically tailored to adult men, unlike other church demographics. Fostering Connection for Men: Men naturally connect “shoulder-to-shoulder” through shared physical activities, service, and adventure rather than traditional face-to-face chat formats. Utilizing creative layouts, interactive exercises, or specific musical numbers can drastically improve engagement. Impact of Local Leadership: While institutional resources are helpful, local leadership ultimately has the greatest impact on an individual’s everyday church experience and ward culture. Mental Capacity and Burnout: Serving in high-demand callings creates a significant emotional and mental load. Leaders often mistakenly take on individual responsibilities that belong to others, which risks burning out active members and themselves. Leadership Applications Adapt the Second Hour: Elders Quorum presidencies can pivot away from dry lectures by arranging room seating dynamically (e.g., pulling out tables, utilizing outdoor spaces, or splitting into smaller circles) to prompt natural connection. Establish Call Limits: Bishops and Relief Society presidents can manage emotional fatigue by implementing clear structural boundaries—such as processing welfare and check requests only on Sundays—instead of allowing everyday crises to overlap into family time. Empower Through Accountability: Rather than acting as a “black hole of need” by driving around to manage every logistical demand for struggling members, leaders should focus on helping individuals build personal testimonies so they find motivation to step up independently. 00:04:10 – Leaked Meetinghouse Blueprints and the Chapel Lectern 00:05:42 – Reviewing Fifth Sunday Lessons on the US Constitution 00:07:54 – Examining Men’s Institutional Resources and the Advisory Council Gap 00:12:35 – Cultural Dynamics and How Men Build Peer Connections 00:24:14 – Practical Tips for Building Better Elders Quorum Lessons 00:28:54 – Reimaging Second-Hour Formats, Small Groups, and Music 00:39:43 – Managing the Mental Load and Burnout in Local Ward Leadership 00:43:32 – Handling Inner-City Ward Welfare Dynamics and Establishing Boundaries The award-winning Leading Saints Podcast is one of the top independent Latter-day Saints podcasts as part of nonprofit Leading Saints’ mission to help Latter-day Saints be better prepared to lead.
