The Disgruntled Sailor podcast is a gem amongst the vast sea of podcasts out there. It brings forth stories and gripes that resonate with all of us who have served in the military, especially those of us who have been in the Navy. As a former sailor myself, listening to this podcast takes me back to my time in service and evokes a sense of nostalgia that is unparalleled.
One of the best aspects of The Disgruntled Sailor podcast is its relatability. The host truly understands what it's like to be in the Navy and shares stories and experiences that many of us can identify with. From port calls to camaraderie with fellow sailors, each episode has a way of hitting home and reminding us of the unique challenges and joys that come with military service. The host's ability to capture these emotions and weave them into engaging narratives is truly commendable.
Furthermore, the production quality of this podcast is exceptional. The audio is clear, making it easy to follow along with each episode. The host's storytelling abilities are also top-notch, keeping listeners hooked from start to finish. There is no shortage of humor either, as witty anecdotes and funny moments are peppered throughout each episode.
In terms of drawbacks, it would be appreciated if episodes were released more frequently. While it's understandable that quality takes time, waiting for new content can sometimes be frustrating for avid listeners like myself. Additionally, it would be great if there was more variety in the guests featured on the show. While hearing from disgruntled sailors is always entertaining, having different perspectives from other branches or even non-military personnel could add an interesting dynamic to the podcast.
In conclusion, The Disgruntled Sailor podcast is a must-listen for any current or former sailor looking for relatable stories from their time in service. With its ability to evoke strong emotions while simultaneously providing laughs, this podcast captures what it means to be a part of the Navy. In this episode we see who wins best coffee in the fleet. Three active duty and veteran owned CG coffee companies went head to head in a taste test conducted by members in the fleet. The companies involved were Staunch Coffee Co., Humble Beginnings Coffee Co., and Oak & Iron Coffee Co. All the companies have been great and make way better coffee than most of your mess deck swill... Mr. Miami and myself did not participate in any of the official taste tests so there was no bias. All scores were given by active duty members in the fleet. We also talk about a pigeon who helped save hundreds of Americans during WW1.
