Fr. Bill's art is the language he has created to make the invisible visible and to explain the inexplicable. It is a book about seeing and not seeing, knowing and not knowing, joy and sorrow, hope and despair, faith and doubt, success and failure, triumph and defeat, all of which finds a home in the human heart.”—Alan C. In diesem Teil des Podcasts stelle ich euch das Buch "Blutsbande" vor.

Call him Rabbi Unger, Dr. Unger, Professor Unger if you will but Mowglis brothers and sisters refer to him simply as Abe. In 1977 Abe Unger joined the Cubs as a young movie celebrity - coming one week late because he had been starring in and shooting the "Bad News Bears in Japan" movie. Abe was barely aware of all the hub bub that occurred before his arrival, Mr. William Hart, Mowglis Director had manufactured that with newspaper clippings and promo photos but everyone at camp was aware that they were about to be joined by a "celebrity". Abe, however, treated the whole thing as just another life experience and he was soon fully immersed in the Mowglis experience, including starting the "Holt Elwell Memorial Band" with Tomo Nishino and Ian Brown, accompanied by Mr Hart. Their first performance was "Hello Dolly" and though we don't know if they were joined by Mr. James "Iggy" Westberg doing his famous imitation of the great Satchmo Armstrong, I'm guessing that at some point it all came together. I caught up with Abe recently and our conversation was filled with fond memories and a good deal of the life philosophy as written by Kipling: "We be of one blood, brothers (and sisters) all."

These throwback Episodes initially aired public but were removed as a result of the change in plans of the audio service we were using before. Now we are happy to share these insightful interviews which began the AUDIO journey of Artist Interviews with Out Da Box Radio. Original Show Description: Out Da Box Radio is happy to bring you our latest interview featuring the accomplished music producer/composer “Adrian Younge”. I recently got the chance to chat with Adrian on a number of topics, including how he got his start in music, making the transition from sampling to live instruments, living in the digital music age and the significance of album art to music. He also took the time to speak on his original music that was recently sampled by Jay-Z for the “Magna Carta Holy Grail” Album and how Jay initially got a hold of the sample. Progressing through the interview, Adrian also took a moment to speak in-depth about his collabo album with Ghostface Killah (Twelve Reasons To Die) and his thoughts about producer Apollo Brown, although admitting he hasn’t yet been able to hear the Apollo Brown version of the album. Nearing the conclusion of the interview, Adrian also took some time to give insight into his recent work with lead singer “William Hart” of “The Delfonics”, and how the soulful collaboration came together. There's so much insightful information in this interview to keep your attention, I certainly believe you will appreciate it. I had a great pleasure building with the brother “Adrian” and I wish him all the best in his future endeavors. Please take the time to listen to our in-depth radio interview with the man himself and definitely feel free to leave a comment and spread the word if you like what you hear. Enjoy!.

The black Christian church has long been a cornerstone of African-American family life, political activism, and social change. However, in recent years, some social activists have called into question the relevance of the black Christian church in the lives of millennials and the continuing fight for freedom. Today, we tackle this topic by interviewing Dr. William David Hart, a professor at Macalester College whose work examines the intersection of religion, ethics, and politics. During this conversation we discuss the historical and contemporary role of the church in the black community (20:11), myths and misconceptions about Black religion (23:28), the rise of alternative religious practices within the Black community (25:21), and myths and misconceptions about atheism (34:50). We then discuss the relationship between the Black church and the Black family (40:05), the link between religion and politics (45:30), and the future of the church in the Black community and ongoing freedom movement (53:20).
