Hello one and all, and welcome back to another episode of Trophy Talk! Can you believe it? The time has finally come to talk about Halo: Campaign Evolved, as Master Chief makes his debut on PlayStation. Does Halo: CE now 25 years old still hold up all these years later? How did the change to UE effect the overall look and feel of the game? What are our hopes and dreams for future Halo projects that could come to PlayStation? Well, Josh and Colin cover all of that, and a good deal more as they camp out on Spartan 117 for quite some time. In addition to the Halo conversation, the crew of course takes some time to re-touch on the ongoing analysis of PlayStation's move away from physical disc production in 2028. Is the proposed blackout of the PSN from August 23rd - August 30th the right way to send a message to PlayStation, and make a difference? Or ultimately, are the die already cast as we march inexorably forward towards a digital only future? Only time will tell, but Josh and Colin do have some thoughts on the matter, and suggest ways to maybe alter some of the more popular methods of protest. On top of all of that there is of course a discussion on what event is coming up next for the Discord and when it begins, a Trophy Talk edition of Cactuar vs. Tonberry, Plat Shout Outs, and what we've been playing. Born and raised in Milwaukee Wisconsin, Rick joined the U.S. Navy at age 17. He attended Basic Underwater Demolition SEAL (BUD/S) training Class 109 in Coronado, CA. Rick was assigned to SEAL Team TWO in Little Creek, VA in 1980. He served at SEAL Team TWO from 1980 until 1985, specializing in winter warfare, combat diving, and sniping until he was selected for duty at SEAL Team SIX in 1985. In 1993, Rick received the Silver Star Medal for Valor during the Battle of Mogadishu (Black Hawk Down). He served at ST-6 from 1985 through October of 2012. During his time at ST-6, Rick acted as sniper, explosives expert, lead training Chief, sniper team leader, and Deputy Operations Officer. Rick continues to serve his country and fellow SEALs by helping to educate others about this unique special operations force and further the Frogman heritage as the Executive Director of Navy SEAL Museum Fort Pierce. Rick is married to Barbara Kaiser and has two children, Emily and Eric. Rick and Barbara currently reside in Vero Beach, Florida.Support the show

About our Guest: Master Chief Green was born in Westerly, RI, and raised in Woodbine, GA. He graduated from Camden County High School in 2004. He entered the Navy through the Delayed Entry Program in March 2006 as a Culinary Specialist. He is a graduate of the United States Senior Enlisted Academy, Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat course. Master Chief's sea duty assignments include USS Annapolis (SSN 760), USS Virginia (SSN 774), USS Greeneville (SSN 772). In October 2022, he reported to USS Hampton (SSN 767) as Chief of the Boat. During that COB tour, he completed a Western Pacific Deployment, two SOUTCOMs, ICE CAMP 2024, and a change of homeport from San Diego to Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. His shore duty assignments include Enlisted Aide to the Director of Naval Reactors, Lead Instructor for Navy Food Management Team New London, and Lead Culinary Specialist Commander Submarine Forces. Master Chief Green is currently the Command Master Chief for Submarine Readiness Squadron 32. He grew up in Ruston, Louisiana, spent part of his youth in a children's home, and learned early that structure mattered. After struggling in school, finding direction, and then losing his footing again in college, he joined the Navy in 1991 looking for discipline, purpose, and a better path. What followed wasn't a straight line. He spent his first years in the Navy doing admin work, but kept pushing toward the things that pulled at him most, including diving, shooting, and jobs that demanded more of him than his official title suggested.That drive eventually led him into Navy EOD. After leaving active duty and entering the reserves, 9/11 changed everything. He was called back, went deeper into EOD, and moved from the desk into the fight. He deployed with SEAL teams, served through repeated combat rotations, and built a career around risk, precision, and protecting lives. Along the way, he saw the cost of war up close, not just in combat, but at home. He talks about the toll of multiple deployments, the strain on marriages and families, and the way years of service can quietly take time from your children that you never get back.What makes this conversation hit is that it doesn't stop at the war years. Tod gets into the harder part for a lot of veterans and first responders, figuring out who you are when the uniform comes off. He talks about The Honor Foundation, USC, learning that money and title weren't the real non-negotiables, and realizing that the people you work with matter more than the paycheck. You can have technical skill, leadership, problem solving, and years of experience, but if you can't translate it, civilian employers won't see it. If you can't manage your ego, you'll make the process even harder.
