Episode 272: That's A Long Way To Go Man with AJ Finney (Last Comic Standing)Sometimes stand-up comedian AJ Finney is just livin' his life wrong. At the Tropicana Casino in New Jersey (circa 2014) he had a mall-massage-induced panic attack AND one of his worst bombs. He wasn't confident, and couldn't bring his set around. Most of the time, he destroys - and he was able to talk to Dan Bublitz Jr about producing comedy albums, how everyone is a nerd about something, why comics sit in the back of the room, how comics have a magnified perception of what's going on on stage compared to an audience, and you know - working in a casino is just weird.Sponsored by https://www.puxhub.com/: Hey bomb squad if you're a comedian or podcaster looking for an affordable website solution with a modern look then we recommend PuxHub! Take your career to the next level with your own PuxHub website today!AJ FinneyStylistically manic, and artistically brilliant, AJ Finney is an eclectic midwesterner with a passion for the psychedelic scene of the Sixties. Comedy, jam bands, and Volkswagens — that's him. He's an eco-friendly, improvisational, sometimes philosophical, patchouli-soaked quipster. AJ's organic approach is refreshing and his poetic stream-of-consciousness style makes for a colorful and unforgettable comedic experience. His audience (much like the Deadheads) is finding him through alternative venues such as music festivals, head shops, and record stores. In 2014 AJ was crowned “Best of the Midwest” winner at Gilda's LaughFest in Grand Rapids, was featured on the FOX television show Laughs, and was one of the 100 performers chosen for Season 8 of NBC's Last Comic Standing. In 2013 he was a semifinalist in the Comedy Central talent search Up Next, as well as a finalist in the 2011 San Francisco International Comedy Competition. He was voted “Best in Fest” at the 2011 Detroit LaughFest and was a finalist in HBO's Lucky 21 comedy competition. AJ is an effective and engaging storyteller with a rhythm that quickly pulls you into his world. You'll laugh until you leave and then later you'll laugh again.https://www.ajfinney.com/https://www.instagram.com/aj_finney/https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCckPWOckS0nC6Z5pR3UxSjAhttps://www.facebook.com/comedianajfinneyhttps://linktr.ee/hippienothippiepodArt of Bombing:"Nobody Had a Podcast Called The Art of Bombing" Theme by John HultBumpers provided by Joe Nicola MusicWebsite: https://www.artofbombingpod.com/Merch: https://art-of-bombing-pod.creator-spring.com/Buy us a coffee: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/aobpodFB: https://www.facebook.com/artobpodcast/Twitter: @artofbombingpodInstagram: @artofbombingpodTwitch: @artofbombingpodYouTube: Art of Bombing PodcastDan Bublitz Jr: http://www.danbublitz.com/Josh Shirley: http://www.joshshirleycomedy.com

This show features local Denver comedians in a space where they can say whatever they want, and we are not a success until we have someone lose their job at SNL. This week on the podcast we have two hilarious guests, Aj Finney and Mitch Jones. Evan opens the episode as a purple belt in Spanish and reads some prepared quotes before we dive briefly into the Beckitionary. Just while brainstorming, the group comes up with a few ways that flamethrowers could really change the game for both fireworks, as well as mass shootings. Mitch gives some movie recommendations, Aj explains to Evan that he definitely didn't earn his "Dead Wings", and that's when the genre of Juggalo Jam is born. After Evan tells his Tubing story where his honor was tested, The Jacuzzi Boys stop by to plug some dates and promote their French Onion Soup (they're all out of spoons). Mitch and Aj talk about their first CD's, then we do a news story about some evil soul suckers and play a game of Headliners fill in the Headlines. That leads to the creation of the greatest sandwich shop idea, and we force Dog the Alien Hunter out of retirement. In the Favorite Conspiracy segment, we get the bottom of Big Foot, Cryptid, Monster Truck, or BOTH. Mitch informs everyone to do their own research on Jay-Z's connections to DIA, we build a profile on the kind of person that would train monkeys to steal babies and watch a video of a Poptart that doesn't believe in gravity. That inspires a recent Poptart story from Evan and Dylan stops us from accidentally getting the grimiest person out of Russian prison. (The Jacuzzi Boys ate all the soup) Throughout the show, we break down jokes, tell stories from the local scene and discuss all of the important things happening all around the world. The hosts Evan Fitzgerald and Dylan Kantor thank our guests for coming by the studio and appreciate every listen and share!
In this week's episode, Andie is joined by AJ Finney and his wife Marcie, and things take a wild turn when Andie decides to read stories of animals saving people's lives instead of murdering them. It gets very silly. Probably because of all the psychedelic posters and LaCroix

This stone has really kicked my dream recall and enhancement into super-high gear and it is very exciting to me. Also we discuss what it takes or how we get to the top of our personal pyramid as I'm get too distracted to discuss the original idea of this episode which was science and magic. Friday's #TheShowKC involved Shaylee being late and having to buy a round of S***bucks for everybody. We got an update from our friend Elliot who continues to have the worst week ever! Alien: Covenant and Diary of a Wimpy Kid are the new movies out this week in our B&B At The Movies segment. We once again play the Whisper Challenge and find out if Shaylee stays undefeated in the game. Our buddy AJ Finney stops by to talk hail, storms and Boston cops. Find him at Stanford's this weekend. And we end with #AllTheFeels and some good news!
AJ Finney and I embark on a journey to the sensory deprivation float tanks as the second part of "crystal buddy day" when I was visiting him in Missouri. It was my first experience doing the float tanks and once we got back to his house we talk about it. It seems like I may be a little high and that is because of the things we did and the root beer I was chugging. What a fun time and highly recommend everyone try this relaxing treat for themselves. www.meandparanormalyou.comwww.ryansingercomedy.com818-839-0593 Mindlinewww.society6.com/mapy
A.J. Finney joins me on the program for 2nd time after we spent a day doing all kinds of awesome, new age, fun things in what we were calling "Crystal Buddy Day." I spend a few nights at his house with him and his wife Maricana while doing some shows and we explored a lot of things. We talk about our joint energy healing session we had done by Chad Schaaf at Beyond the Body (www.beyondthebody.abmp.com)and what we experienced during the session. AJ Finney tells me about the near death experiences that remain unexplainable, his mother who sees ghosts, and we wonder if its tied to his being a descendant of Sitting Bull. A wonderful, fun conversation with a very talented comedian that you don't want to miss. www.meandparanormalyou.comwww.ryansingercomedy.com818-839-0593 Mindline
