This was a really terrible recording that I tried to dial in. Its really poor quality and I tried to add some sugar to the sound. This event was a celebration of the Birthday of his holiness Shri Shri Ravi Shankar. The idea was presented at the beginning of the Satsang to have Lata read between the Bajans from Banus book about her life with her brother Shri Shri Ravi Shankar. I had spontaneously hit record on my phone to record a song Kurt was playing but forgot to shut off the recording. I'm so grateful it was left on. I think this style of event is very powerful. By the time McKenzie heard the key unlock the cabin door, he had manoeuvred himself into a sitting position on the floor with his back against the wall. At least that way he would see what was coming. To his surprise, it was Maria who entered unaccompanied. McKenzie looked her up and down. As usual, she was impeccably dressed with not even a hair out of place. Her dark eyes locked onto McKenzie’s upturned face. He could detect no obvious signs of emotion other than absolute self confidence. She glided over to McKenzie and asked herself out loud, “What are we going to do with you?” McKenzie, still gagged and bound, looked into Maria’s face. She stooped, grabbed a corner of the duct tape that was over his mouth and gave it a good tug. McKenzie was now able to talk. “Thank you”, he said with a hint of cynicism while contorting his mouth and jaw. “You’re welcome”, Maria responded with obvious sarcasm. “I want to hear you when you scream”. McKenzie was defenceless. His wrists were tied behind his back and his ankles bound together. Maria carefully positioned her expensively clad foot on McKenzie’s groin and began pushing her pencil-thin stiletto into his crotch. After interrogation at the hands of his henchmen, Don Pedro ordered his execution. Paco’s lifeless body, suitably weighted to make it sink and stay sunk, was tossed overboard, naked and cut to attract and feed the sharks that lived in those clear blue waters. McKenzie was a guest on ‘La Dama de la Noche’, on the invitation of Maria de las Flores who lured him into Don Pedro’s web. So far they had paid him very little attention, but McKenzie knew his time was coming. Don Pedro’s captain set a course for the marina of Puerto Banus. As they docked, McKenzie was untied from his spectator’s chair and unceremoniously bundled into a cabin below deck. Still bound and gagged, he heard the door lock. They left him in a heap, face down on the Persian rug that smelled of camels, sand and Arabs. Miguel sailed out from La Carihuela and set his course for familiar fishing grounds in deeper water.
