We are back in the Shed, and it's full! Jon has returned from a lengthy lay off due to illness and joins Jeff and Roger for an online Shed as Melbourne goes into a week long lock down. This week we are looking at how the Premier League season finished, focusing on the top 4, and wondering if we focus on the top 4 too much. There's a little bit of West Ham being great, some Everton being bang average and a look at Man Utd's failure in the Europa League final - Jon has much to say on Man Utd this week! We also have time for an exciting End Game! Next week we'll be back with our fifth annual end of season awards, can not wait! Enjoying the Shed? After a week away we are back in the Shed and we have found Roge too! Having missed so much it's impossible to know where to start but turns out we start with Leicester and Iheanacho, or as he will be come to be known, the Corn Chip! We have a look at the FA Cup (Man City will win it, along with everything else), a great 3-3 draw between West Ham and Arsenal, Newcastle slowly getting worse and worse and the end of Chris Wilder at Sheffield United. There is also time for a wee bit of Champions League, some international football and the very exciting End Game! Enjoying the Shed? It's date night in the Shed as Roge has a bout of the shits, must be all that crappy beer he drinks?! Jeff and Jon are left to ruminate on all things Premier League and they look at Parker's Fulham (and his coat), Klopp's struggling Liverpool, Tuchel's incredible progress at Chelsea and whether Ole has any idea what's happening at Man Utd or not?! There's also a little time for the bully Jose, eyebrow king Carlo, a little Haaland in the Champions League and sadly no End Game. But don't worry, that will be back next week. Well, depending on Roge's situation... Enjoying the Shed? Why not subscribe on Apple Podcasts or, wherever you get your podcasts and give us a review. We are back in the Shed and talking Thomas Tuchel. Maybe he's a psycho. Is he a psycho? Jeff thinks he might be. We look at the Chelsea, Man Utd dull fest, Leicester struggling to keep their Champions League hopes alive against Arsenal and the return of Gareth Bale. The greatest football of all time. World Class. Or is he anymore? There is time for a bit of Man City being brilliant, Aston Villa sneaking under the radar, Chinese football imploding and of course the very exciting End Game! We are back in the Shed after a week away due to lock down with a lot of football to talk about. There is West Ham and their hunt for the top 4 (maybe?!), Jose getting it all kinds of wrong at Spurs. Everton win the Merseyside derby at Anfield for the first time in 22 years and unsurprisingly Jeff is pretty happy whilst at the same time he's putting the boot into Klopp's attempts at rectifying Liverpool's season. Has Klopp got it really wrong? Leicester go from strength to strength, especially James Maddison and Man City confirm they have won the league, going 18 games unbeaten in all competitions. There is time for a bit of Champions League, some Championship, a wee bit of the World Cup in Qatar being gross and of course the very exciting End Game! Enjoying the Shed? We are back in the Shed this week and we give some airtime to Crystal Palace. But not too much and we move on to, the Jeff v Jon derby that ends 3-3, Man City winning the league (pretty much) and Jeff has a strong opinion on the recent praise of Phil Foden. We also talk the Newcastle resurgence, Leeds and particularly Patrick Bamford being good. Or is he? There is time for a little Ajax chaos, a bit of Italian dictators and of course the new End Game, which just keeps getting more exciting! Enjoying the Shed? We are back in the Shed and a lot of football is happening so we attempted to talk about some of it. There is a 9-0 win for Man Utd, but Mike Dean takes centre stage. Wolves beat another 9 man team, Arsenal and Sheffield United might just not get relegated. Maybe. Liverpool are back to their scintillating selves with Salah possibly being underrated and the Jose malaise seems to have set in at Spurs. There is time of a bit of Newcastle roller coaster, Everton being a bit Everton, Leeds being brilliant and very Leeds, some transfer window, a bit of Burnley take over and a whole lot of End Game. And I mean a lot! Enjoying the Shed? Why not subscribe on Apple Podcasts or, wherever you get your podcasts and give us a review. We are back in the Shed talking football and definitely talking the end of Frank Lampard at Chelsea and the beginnings of Thomas Tuchel. We also discuss Man City and what looks like the start of their charge for the title, Steve Bruce's struggling Newcastle, a booming West Ham under David Moyes and wrap up this week's FA Cup action. There is also time for a philosophical question, what does all this post-Covid football mean? Are we still interested? Has it settled into a pre-season friendly odd malaise? Stick with us, it's worth hearing! There is also time for the new End Game, which Jeff is officially shit at. Brilliant. Enjoying the Shed? Another week, another team is the best and another team is the worst! The Premier League continues it's chaotic and topsy-turvey season and we are in a slightly different Shed to talk all about it. Man City are top of our list and look like they could be top of the league come the end of the season, although we are sure Liverpool and Man Utd might have something to say about that and don't forget Leicester City who have a flying James Maddison right now. There is struggles at Chelsea, revivals at Arsenal, struggles at Wolves and who knows what's going on at Newcastle?! It's pointless predicting the Premier League this season, just enjoy it. In a week of little or no Premier League action, we take time in the Shed to look at the teams we didn't talk about last week. Sheffield United, Wolves, Burnley, West Ham, Newcastle and Fulham all get some air time. We even make time for the most boring of all teams in the league, Crystal Palace! There is some Man Utd top of the league chat, a wee bit of Everton doing ok talk and of course the very exciting new End Game...that Roge takes four hours finding an answer for! Enjoying the Shed? After a two week break, we are back in the Shed and jeez, there has been a lot of football! The league is ridiculously tight, but is this due to good football, Covid, burnout or a mix of everything? Can we even cope with the league being this tight? As we reflect on the Xmas break, we look at the teams who've had a great time, Man City, Man Utd, Arsenal and those that maybe haven't had the best time like Liverpool and Chelsea. We have managed to squeeze a lot of football into one hour and not only that, it's a new year, so there is an exciting new End Game so make sure you listen to the end to find out if we are as crap at this one as the last one! It's date night in the Shed as Jeff runs away on holiday so Roge and Jon tackle all the big issues in football this week. We talk Leicester and Southampton's hunt for the top four, the season being the most open in a long time and why that is, Sheffield United's woes, Chelsea stumbling into a crisis along with Arsenal. We also chat Everton essentially because Jeff is away, but also to try and decide what they are aiming for. There is time for a bit of a better looking Fulham, a very good looking West Ham and an awful looking Manchester derby. Enjoying the Shed? Let's get down to the football. The top seven all won and Spurs, Liverpool and Chelsea look like they are going great guns. This week in the Shed we look at how good they really are. We also ask about Harry Kane's "bumming" as Jeff calls it, listen to work out what he means! As well as the top three being on fire, we discuss Man Utd being incredibly inconsistent, whether Southampton should have had that penalty and if John Egan of Sheffield United should have just taken down Vardy on is way through. There is also time for a bit for some good news stories, a bit about Bebeto, some Barcelona and of course, the End Game. Which we are officially awful at! Enjoying the Shed? This week in football there has been much discussion about the death of football, has the joy gone? Well us in the Shed, think the media coverage so far has missed a few important points and so we explore them. Are we actually watching one of the best season's ever? Is VAR the problem or is it actually the IFAB rules? Do we need to follow the Dutch FA's lead? It makes for a great debate and there is of course plenty of football. West Ham are ripping it up, Leicester are having a sticky patch, Spurs are top whilst also being extremely dull and Arsenal, well Arsenal, who knows what is happening there?! There is time for some Palace v Newcastle, Frank Lampard's small water bottle, Diego Maradona and of course, the End Game! Enjoying the Shed? Roge is back from his holidays, the Premier League is back and we are all in the Shed. Everything is right in the world. And even Jose is winning again. This week we look at Spurs excellent start to the season and ask if they are genuine title contenders. Their main rivals right now are a possibly underrated Liverpool who have been brilliant despite massive injury problems. Frank Lampard is looking like he's getting it right at Chelsea, but it's not going quite so well for Arteta at Arsenal. Also, are West Brom and Fulham already down? Of course there is time for bit of End Game, Side Stories and a bunch of other nonsense! Enjoying the Shed?
