Vi kjører videre med episode 320 i rekken. I Premier League taper Arsenal poeng, noe som gjorde at Manchester City og Jeremy Doku tok innpå to poeng i toppkampen mot Liverpool. Men hva skjedde egentlig med Liverpool her?

RVM 190: The Transfer Window Showdown - Arsenal, Liverpool & Man United's Hits & Misses Join Roger and Anthony on the Roger Van Moorinho Show as they dive deep into the recent transfer window! In this explosive episode, they break down the biggest moves, the questionable decisions, and the players who could define the season. The guys go club by club, starting with the smaller teams like Bournemouth and Brighton before tackling the "big clubs." They debate Spurs' impressive signings, including Kudus, Xavi Simons, and Paulinho. Roger gives Tottenham an "8.5 out of 10" for their transfer business, while Anthony argues that players like Simmons still have a lot to prove despite their potential. The conversation heats up when they turn to the transfer sagas. Anthony questions why a player like Raheem Sterling should be forced to go to a country he doesn't want to play in. The guys criticize what they see as hypocrisy from clubs who force players out, citing the Donnarumma transfer from PSG as a prime example. The debate gets personal when they discuss Alexander Isak's move and Newcastle's role in it. Roger defends Isak's decision, arguing that he shouldn't be "mugged off" with a low wage at a rich club that wouldn't pay him his worth. Manchester United's transfer window gets a harsh review, with Anthony giving them a "5.5 out of 10" for failing to address their glaring midfield issues and missing out on players like Donnarumma. In contrast, Arsenal receives high praise, with a "9.5 out of 10" from Anthony for bringing in key players like Kepa, the "Glock," and the "prodigal son" Eberechi Eze. They also touch on Liverpool's transfer activity, praising their signings but pointing out their major oversight in not bringing in a new center-back. Tune in for unfiltered opinions, heated debates, and a comprehensive breakdown of the transfer window from a "black man perspective." #RVM190 #TransferWindow #FootballPodcast #PremierLeague #Arsenal #Liverpool #ManUnited #Tottenham #Chelsea #Newcastle #AFC Bournemouth #Brighton #CrystalPalace #TransferNews #Soccer #EPL #SportsTalk #RogerVanMoorinhoShow #AffinityXtra https://youtu.be/JhIJEHLsnVo

There were no surprise results in the League Cup, but there were some surprising moments. Crystal Palace led Arsenal for fifty minutes at The Emirates before succumbing to a Gabriel Jesus hat-trick, Southampton pushed Liverpool all the way in a closer-than-you-might-expect 2-1 defeat. But there was no surprise in Brentford losing away at Newcastle because for some reason Brentford seem to lose rather a lot of their away games. Arsenal faced Liverpool at the Emirates in a thrilling encounter that ended in a 2-2 draw, leaving fans with mixed emotions - more so bitter. The Gunners started strong, with Saka opening the scoring tab, showcasing his flair and determination. However, Liverpool quickly equalized but if anything, Arsenal had more to show. The first half was marked by Arsenal's attacking intent, particularly on the right flank where Saka and Thomas Partey combined effectively. The Gunners generated several shot attempts and displayed impressive quick passing sequences. Mikel Merino made his mark by scoring his first goal for Arsenal just before halftime, heading home from a well-placed Declan Rice cross. However, the second half brought disappointment as injuries to Big Gabi and Timber disrupted Arsenal's momentum. With Kiwior stepping in for Gabriel, Liverpool seized the opportunity to push forward aggressively. We struggled to regain control as Liverpool pressed hard, leading to their equalizer late in the game. While Arsenal showed promise, the inability to secure all three points against one of the big team feels like a missed opportunity. The injury concerns add another layer of uncertainty as we look ahead. Tune in for more analysis on this match and share your thoughts! C'mon Arsenal!

Arsenal-Liverpool, the Derby d'Italia, Le Classique…it's a serious Football Weekend. But all that takes a back seat to the big one: El Clásico, REAL MADRID vs BARCELONA, the premier grudge match in world football. Nobody does technical quality and steaming spite quite like these two, and the storylines abound heading into this 258th meeting of Spain's great powers. One Brazilian from each side—Vinicius Jr. for Madrid, Raphinha for Barça—scored a hat trick in the Champions League in midweek. They're two of the form players in Europe, with Vini a strong bet to take home the Ballon d'Or in a couple months' time, but there's also the 17-year-old sensation Lamine Yamal and some guy named Kylian Mbappé playing his first Clásico. It's an embarrassment of riches in the forward positions for both these sides—and in midfield, too: Barcelona have added EURO 2024 standout Dani Olmo to academy starlets Pedri and Gavi in the engine room, and could we see 39-year-old Luka Modrić in there on the other side next to Fede Valverde and Jude Bellingham? The matchups everywhere are mouthwatering, and joining us to preview the match is Paco Polit of La Liga Lowdown. He explained how Barcelona have changed under new coach Hansi Flick and how the German has got Robert Lewandowski firing again, with 12 of their astonishing 33 goals already this season; how Madrid remain inevitable in the Champions League, if not La Liga, under Don Carlo Ancelotti; and why fans of Los Blancos aren't overly taken with Mbappé's performances after so many years of speculation that he'd join the club. We also spared a minute to discuss the reports this week that La Liga is angling to stage a Barcelona-Atlético Madrid match in Miami, and the unfortunate fate of Paco's Valencia CF.If you're enjoying The Football Weekend, please give us a rating and leave a review! It will help spread the good word. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

European club exhibitions have become a fixture of American soccer fandom. Premier League teams like Manchester United, Arsenal Liverpool and Chelsea have built, in part, their massive followings in the United States through television exposure, but also by touring US cities and building community at live events. While clubs have a long history of touring the US, the weight and gravity of those exhibitions changed through the vision of Charlie Stillitano and his company, ChampionsWorld. Stillitano founded ChampionsWorld as a full-service soccer promotional agency, one that facilitated the sale of Tim Howard to ManU. But he always had a vision of spotlighting European clubs via events in America and turned that vision into reality with the ChampionsWorld Series in 2003 and 2004. Stillitano joined Founding Futbol to share his journey to the creation of the company and the touring series. He shared the inspiration for the idea behind ChampionsWorld and more. Founding Futbol is a year-long exploration of the critical moments that have led to soccer's emerging popularity in America.
