There was a time when I didn't drink because I was partying.I avoided love because I didn't want the responsibility that came with it.So I took shortcuts.Pornography became easier than vulnerability.Fantasy became safer than commitment. And I convinced myself women were “better off without me.”Years later, I realized something devastating:That's the same reason my father left.In this brutally honest episode of Road to Victory, I unpack the connection between addiction, avoidance, depression, and the fear of real love.We talk about:• Using shortcuts to avoid emotional responsibility• How addiction becomes a shield against intimacy• The generational pattern of leaving before being left• The year I stayed in bed and watched everything on streaming• Getting a kidney transplant and still choosing stagnation• The sermon that changed my trajectory: “You can have another year… or a new year.”• How real confidence isn't talk — it's repetitionToday, I'm walking 10,000 steps a day.Recording daily.Cooking at home.Showing up for myself.Because confidence isn't hype. It's earned. And depression doesn't leave because you feel better. It leaves because you start moving. This episode is for anyone who knows their dreams are inside them — but keeps choosing the bed over the battle.Get up.Another year is automatic.A new year is intentional.Welcome to the Road to Victory.

On the Wednesday episode of the North Shore Drive podcast, presented by FanDuel and Edgar Snyder & Associates, host Adam Bittner welcomes Post-Gazette Steelers insider Christopher Carter to react to the latest news from NFL free agency. What does Darnell Savage -- the Steelers' latest signing -- add to the secondary next to names like Joey Porter Jr., Jamel Dean and Jalen Ramsey? Does he fill the team's need there? Or do GM Omar Khan and coach Mike McCarthy need to be looking closely at prospects like Caleb Downs, Dillion Thieneman and Emmanuel McNeil-Warren in the NFL draft? What should we make of Cam Heyward's contract extensions? And does the Steelers' lack of moves beyond him on the defensive line highlight a draft need there for names like Kayden McDonald or Peter Woods to join Yahya Black, Derrick Harmon and Keeanu Benton? Our duo tackles those questions, then ponders the Ravens' decision to back out of the trade involving Maxx Crosby and sign Trey Hendrickson instead. How does the drama shape the balance of power in the AFC North? And are the Steelers currently the most improved team in the division following the additions of names like Rico Dowdle and Michael Pittman Jr.? Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. The guys react to Dolphins GM Jon-Eric Sullivan's comments on Tua at a season ticket holder event, calling it fairly generic as he emphasized the team is evaluating everything before making a decision. They explore whether Tua could potentially reunite with Mike McDaniel in Los Angeles and debate how realistic that scenario might be. The conversation also touches on Dolphins fans being deeply divided — and at times vicious — over Tua's future. Plus, they're surprised to learn DJ Uiagalelei is still in the league with the Chargers and discuss Trinidad Chambliss being granted a sixth year of eligibility after once being viewed as a potential top NFL draft quarterback

In the new world of college football there may be just as much action in the courtroom as there is on the field. The latest trend is if you want another season in college, after your eligibility is up, take it to the courtroom! The two most recent cases of that are Trinidad Chambliss and Joey Aguilar. Both of whom are waiting to see if they get an injunction that will allow them to play in the 2026 season. Andy Staples, Ross Dellenger and Steven Godfrey explain both of these cases and update everyone with where the cases are in the process. They also take a look at the schools these quarterbacks are looking to go back to. Both schools have 5-star QBs waiting in the wings, which leads to the question: in the transfer portal world, are 5-star QBs better off going to a smaller school where they can play right away and transferring later? Then, the guys get into some more College Football Playoff conversation. The CFP released the 2026 & 2027 schedule for the quarterfinals, semifinals and championship game. In 2026, the playoff spans over 39 days. Andy, Ross and Godfrey discuss the ludicrous schedule. They also talk about a potential savior in the NFL. With the NFL now owning a stake in ESPN, will they help out college football's scheduling to make it a better product?Later, Andy shares the results of his homework assignment. Last episode, the guys discussed how weak Week 1 is to start the 2026 season. Andy shares his plan of how to move Oklahoma and Michigan to Week 1 to inject some energy into the opening weekend slate of games. The guys also close the show by discussing the Washington Post shutting down their sports division. All of this and more on College Football Enquirer.0:00:00 - SEC QB's suing for eligibility6:18 - Trinidad Chambliss' case update8:32 - Joey Aguilar case update16:08 - What does the future of 5-star QB's in college look like?28:24 - CFP releases 2026 schedule40:22 - Andy tries to improve Week 1's schedule51:55 - Reflecting on the Washington Post news Subscribe to the College Football Enquirer on your favorite podcast app:

Everyone's talking about the Chicago Bears right now (or at least Jemal thinks so), and while a new coach matters, the real shift runs deeper. This episode breaks down a powerful truth about real turnarounds: the players didn't change — the perspective did. Same roster. Same city. Same pressure. What changed was how the game was being seen, understood, and approached. And once that shifted, the results followed. Using the Bears as a real-world case study, this conversation explores why so many people stay stuck year after year. Not because they lack ability or effort, but because they keep trying to do more instead of learning to see differently. This isn't about starting over. It's about building on what's already there.

This year won't change just because the calendar did. If nothing shifts internally, this season will look exactly like the last one, same stress, same patterns, same outcomes. Not because you're cursed… but because you're carrying what was never cleaned. In this message, Eric breaks down why a new year isn't automatic and why preparation, not intention, determines whether this season becomes your best or your hardest. Drawing from Exodus 19, he unpacks the idea of washing your own clothes—identifying the internal contamination, habits, and responses that quietly sabotage progress. This isn't about starting over. It's about stopping the transfer of last year's weight into this season. If you're ready for real change, not just motivation, this message is for you. Key themes: • Why “another year” and a “new year” are not the same • How unresolved habits contaminate finances, relationships, and peace • What it actually means to reset before you rebuild • Why some cycles require more than a quick fix

I If you're feeling exhausted you aren't alone. The time we're living in is weird and distressing. And if you, like me, are feeling the weight of the world right now, please understand you're not it makes sense. However time keeps marching on whether we're ready for it or not, and those who seek to destroy everything we hold dear, are counting on our exhaustion. So go into this new year with grit and determination because it's going to be hard. Curiosity and imagination, because we have to create something new. And finally, allow yourself to let go of what was, in order to make room for what could be. I know there's a world better than this, but we have to believe in it to build it.
