Pastor Installation Service | April 24, 2022 | Guest Pastor Rev. Paul Sartarelli | A Manifold Focus on One | 2 Timothy 4:1-5: I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom: 2 preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching. 3 For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, 4 and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths. 5 As for you, always be sober-minded, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.
EASTER SUNDAY | April 17, 2022 | Guest Pastor Rev. Jonathan Peters | Hope for Restoration | Mark 15:40-16:8: There were also women looking on from a distance, among whom were Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James the younger and of Joses, and Salome. 41 When he was in Galilee, they followed him and ministered to him, and there were also many other women who came up with him to Jerusalem.42 And when evening had come, since it was the day of Preparation, that is, the day before the Sabbath, 43 Joseph of Arimathea, a respected member of the council, who was also himself looking for the kingdom of God, took courage and went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. 44 Pilate was surprised to hear that he should have already died.[a] And summoning the centurion, he asked him whether he was already dead. 45 And when he learned from the centurion that he was dead, he granted the corpse to Joseph. 46 And Joseph[b] bought a linen shroud, and taking him down, wrapped him in the linen shroud and laid him in a tomb that had been cut out of the rock. And he rolled a stone against the entrance of the tomb. 47 Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joses saw where he was laid. When the Sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices, so that they might go and anoint him. 2 And very early on the first day of the week, when the sun had risen, they went to the tomb. 3 And they were saying to one another, “Who will roll away the stone for us from the entrance of the tomb?” 4 And looking up, they saw that the stone had been rolled back—it was very large. 5 And entering the tomb, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, dressed in a white robe, and they were alarmed. 6 And he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has risen; he is not here. See the place where they laid him. 7 But go, tell his disciples and Peter that he is going before you to Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you.” 8 And they went out and fled from the tomb, for trembling and astonishment had seized them, and they said nothing to anyone, for they were afraid.
PALM SUNDAY | April 10, 2022 | Guest Pastor Rev. Scott Johnston | Who is This? | Matthew 21:1-11: Now when they drew near to Jerusalem and came to Bethphage, to the Mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples, 2 saying to them, “Go into the village in front of you, and immediately you will find a donkey tied, and a colt with her. Untie them and bring them to me. 3 If anyone says anything to you, you shall say, ‘The Lord needs them,' and he will send them at once.” 4 This took place to fulfill what was spoken by the prophet, saying,5 “Say to the daughter of Zion,‘Behold, your king is coming to you, humble, and mounted on a donkey,on a colt, the foal of a beast of burden.'”6 The disciples went and did as Jesus had directed them. 7 They brought the donkey and the colt and put on them their cloaks, and he sat on them. 8 Most of the crowd spread their cloaks on the road, and others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road. 9 And the crowds that went before him and that followed him were shouting, “Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!” 10 And when he entered Jerusalem, the whole city was stirred up, saying, “Who is this?” 11 And the crowds said, “This is the prophet Jesus, from Nazareth of Galilee.”
Guest Pastor Rev. Steve Phillips | April 3, 2022 | What Good are the 10 Commandments Anymore? | Galatians 3:19-25: Why then the law? It was added because of transgressions, until the offspring should come to whom the promise had been made, and it was put in place through angels by an intermediary. 20 Now an intermediary implies more than one, but God is one.21 Is the law then contrary to the promises of God? Certainly not! For if a law had been given that could give life, then righteousness would indeed be by the law. 22 But the Scripture imprisoned everything under sin, so that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.23 Now before faith came, we were held captive under the law, imprisoned until the coming faith would be revealed. 24 So then, the law was our guardian until Christ came, in order that we might be justified by faith. 25 But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian
Guest Pastor Rev. Scott Johnston | March 27, 2022 | If Only...To Finish Well | Acts 20:17-24: Now from Miletus he sent to Ephesus and called the elders of the church to come to him. 18 And when they came to him, he said to them:“You yourselves know how I lived among you the whole time from the first day that I set foot in Asia, 19 serving the Lord with all humility and with tears and with trials that happened to me through the plots of the Jews; 20 how I did not shrink from declaring to you anything that was profitable, and teaching you in public and from house to house, 21 testifying both to Jews and to Greeks of repentance toward God and of faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. 22 And now, behold, I am going to Jerusalem, constrained by the Spirit, not knowing what will happen to me there, 23 except that the Holy Spirit testifies to me in every city that imprisonment and afflictions await me. 24 But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.
Guest Pastor Rev. Jonathan Peters | March 20, 2022 | Living In Hope | Psalm 4:Answer me when I call, O God of my righteousness! You have given me relief when I was in distress.Be gracious to me and hear my prayer!2 O men, how long shall my honor be turned into shame? How long will you love vain words and seek after lies? Selah3 But know that the Lord has set apart the godly for himself;the Lord hears when I call to him.4 Be angry, and do not sin;ponder in your own hearts on your beds, and be silent. Selah5 Offer right sacrifices, and put your trust in the Lord.6 There are many who say, “Who will show us some good?Lift up the light of your face upon us, O Lord!”7 You have put more joy in my heartthan they have when their grain and wine abound.8 In peace I will both lie down and sleep;for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.
Guest Pastor: Rev. Scott Johnston | February 20, 2022 | It Will Not Tarry | Habakkuk 1:1-2:3: The oracle that Habakkuk the prophet saw.2 O Lord, how long shall I cry for help, and you will not hear?Or cry to you “Violence!”and you will not save?3 Why do you make me see iniquity, and why do you idly look at wrong?Destruction and violence are before me;strife and contention arise.4 So the law is paralyzed, and justice never goes forth. For the wicked surround the righteous;so justice goes forth perverted.5 “Look among the nations, and see;wonder and be astounded. For I am doing a work in your daysthat you would not believe if told.6 For behold, I am raising up the Chaldeans, that bitter and hasty nation, who march through the breadth of the earth,to seize dwellings not their own.7 They are dreaded and fearsome;their justice and dignity go forth from themselves.8 Their horses are swifter than leopards, more fierce than the evening wolves;their horsemen press proudly on.Their horsemen come from afar;they fly like an eagle swift to devour.9 They all come for violence, all their faces forward. They gather captives like sand.10 At kings they scoff, and at rulers they laugh. They laugh at every fortress, for they pile up earth and take it.11 Then they sweep by like the wind and go on,guilty men, whose own might is their god!”12 Are you not from everlasting,O Lord my God, my Holy One?We shall not die.O Lord, you have ordained them as a judgment, and you, O Rock, have established them for reproof.13 You who are of purer eyes than to see eviland cannot look at wrong, why do you idly look at traitorsand remain silent when the wicked swallows upthe man more righteous than he?14 You make mankind like the fish of the sea, like crawling things that have no ruler.15 He brings all of them up with a hook;he drags them out with his net;he gathers them in his dragnet;so he rejoices and is glad.16 Therefore he sacrifices to his netand makes offerings to his dragnet;for by them he lives in luxury, and his food is rich.17 Is he then to keep on emptying his netand mercilessly killing nations forever?2 I will take my stand at my watchpostand station myself on the tower, and look out to see what he will say to me,and what I will answer concerning my complaint.2 And the Lord answered me:“Write the vision;make it plain on tablets,so he may run who reads it.3 For still the vision awaits its appointed time;it hastens to the end—it will not lie.If it seems slow, wait for it;it will surely come; it will not delay.
Guest Pastor Rev. David Kiefer | November 28, 2021 | The ABC's of Thanksgiving | Psalm 34:I will bless the Lord at all times;his praise shall continually be in my mouth.2 My soul makes its boast in the Lord;let the humble hear and be glad.3 Oh, magnify the Lord with me,and let us exalt his name together!4 I sought the Lord, and he answered meand delivered me from all my fears.5 Those who look to him are radiant, and their faces shall never be ashamed.6 This poor man cried, and the Lord heard himand saved him out of all his troubles.7 The angel of the Lord encampsaround those who fear him, and delivers them.8 Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good!Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!9 Oh, fear the Lord, you his saints, for those who fear him have no lack!10 The young lions suffer want and hunger;but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.11 Come, O children, listen to me;I will teach you the fear of the Lord.12 What man is there who desires lifeand loves many days, that he may see good?13 Keep your tongue from eviland your lips from speaking deceit.14 Turn away from evil and do good;seek peace and pursue it.15 The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteousand his ears toward their cry.16 The face of the Lord is against those who do evil,to cut off the memory of them from the earth.17 When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hearsand delivers them out of all their troubles.18 The Lord is near to the brokenheartedand saves the crushed in spirit.19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.20 He keeps all his bones;not one of them is broken.21 Affliction will slay the wicked, and those who hate the righteous will be condemned.22 The Lord redeems the life of his servants;none of those who take refuge in him will be condemned.
Guest Pastor: Rev. John MacRae | November 21, 2021 | Thanksgiving to Overflow | 2 Corinthians 4:7-18: 7 But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us. 8 We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; 9 persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; 10 always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies. 11 For we who live are always being given over to death for Jesus' sake, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh. 12 So death is at work in us, but life in you.13 Since we have the same spirit of faith according to what has been written, “I believed, and so I spoke,” we also believe, and so we also speak, 14 knowing that he who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with Jesus and bring us with you into his presence. 15 For it is all for your sake, so that as grace extends to more and more people it may increase thanksgiving, to the glory of God.16 So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. 17 For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, 18 as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.

Guest Pastor Rev. Greg Hands Scripture Reading: 1 Timothy 3:14-16 (ESV) 14 I hope to come to you soon, but I am writing these things to you so that, 15 if I delay, you may know how one ought to behave in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, a pillar and buttress of the truth. 16 Great indeed, we confess, is the mystery of godliness: He was manifested in the flesh, vindicated by the Spirit, seen by angels, proclaimed among the nations, believed on in the world, taken up in glory.
