Recently, I witnessed the most beautiful thing at one of our festivals. A couple on holiday wandered into the square where our festival was taking place. And they were drawn in as my husband Andrew shared the truth about Jesus. He invited anyone interested to pray along with him. They prayed, they gave their lives to Jesus Christ right there in the square. As my friend Melissa prayed with them, they told her that they knew God had been calling them for many days. They had been searching and looking for hope in their lives. Things like this don't happen by accident; God orchestrates our circumstances. He calls us. He speaks to us. When Jesus called His first followers, He simply said: “Come, follow me.” Will you say, “yes” to His call? Always remember, there is hope with God. Have you ever forgiven someone who didn't apologize? Maybe you've shown kindness to someone who really didn't deserve it. You may never get thanked for making those choices. But long ago, Jesus said, "Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy." Mercy happens when you choose love over revenge. Jesus says life is good for those who choose compassion—even when it's hard. And Jesus did this Himself. He offered mercy to all people when He died on the cross in our place. You can enter into this merciful way of life. It's not easy, but it is so good! There's just one thing…Jesus also wants you to receive mercy. Forgiveness and freedom from every wrong thing you've ever done. A chance to start over, a new, eternal life in relationship with the Merciful One. Always remember, there is hope with God. Have you ever looked at the world and thought, "This is not how it's supposed to be"? That ache inside you for wrongs to be made right—it's there for a reason. Jesus said, "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled." This kind of hunger is not about food. It's a longing for justice, for things to be repaired in the deepest sense. It's a sacred discontent with how broken the world is—and how broken we are as humans. So, let that restlessness point you toward something—someone—better. God shares that same longing, and He also holds the fulfillment of the desire. One day, He will rule and repair every broken thing. But you don't have to wait for someday. Come to know God's goodness for yourself. And then you can share it with everyone! Come and follow Jesus. Always remember, there is hope with God. Scripture Reference: Matthew 5:6 radio.hopewithgod.com
In this message, Pastor Brandon continues our study in the Gospel of Matthew—focusing on the **Sermon on the Mount**, where the Messiah reveals His divine authority to correctly interpret the Law of Moses. Jesus contrasts His interpretation with that of the Pharisees, exposing the difference between **external religion** and **internal righteousness**. He reveals that true righteousness comes from the heart—not mere outward obedience. Pastor Brandon also explains: - Why Jesus said He came not to destroy the Law but to fulfill it - The difference between the **Law of Moses** and the **Law of the Messiah** - The eternal moral principles that still apply today - How selective, "cafeteria-style" Christianity affects rewards in the Kingdom - The danger of false teaching, cultural compromise, and the need to stand firm in biblical truth This message challenges all believers to walk in holiness, discern truth from deception, and boldly proclaim Christ in an age of moral confusion.

Have you ever been forgotten, overlooked, or felt unimportant? Long ago, Jesus said, "Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth." You may be thinking, “What does that have to do with me?” The Greek word often translated as “meek” also describes those who are not valued, those who feel left behind. If you've ever felt that way, Jesus says that in His world, you're blessed. To be meek is to be human in a way that doesn't demand attention. You can be filled with strength without shouting. You can be small, yet reflect something bigger, something real and lasting. Your life matters. Not because you demand attention, but because the God of the universe says YOU MATTER. Let Him show you your true worth. Always remember, there is hope with God. Scripture Reference: Matthew 5:5 radio.hopewithgod.com
Have you ever experienced grief? Maybe you've lost someone close to you or had your life change in a way that you never expected. What do you do when pain won't go away? When it silently weighs on you as everyone else moves on? Jesus once said, "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted." That may sound confusing. Mourning and loss… that doesn't feel right! But what Jesus is saying is that there's good news for those who grieve. And that good news is God's offer of comfort. Not a quick fix, but a steady presence—His presence—to sit with you in the dark offering hope. This is how your healing will begin—when you open your heart to Jesus and invite God's Spirit to start this quiet work. Say yes to the path Jesus offers—the path to new life. Always remember, there is hope with God. I'm Andrew Palau. Scripture Reference: Matthew 5:4 radio.hopewithgod.com
Grief is like a blanket of darkness. We grieve because we love, and we grieve because we lose what we love. It's a dark and painful place. You might be there right now. Can I encourage you? There is comfort for you; you do not have to grieve alone. Jesus said that those who grieve are blessed, because He will comfort them. In the darkness and heaviness of grief, there is only ONE, only One who has the power and the capacity to reach down, spiritually into the depths of our souls and comfort us. It's not a magic trick or self-help. There is a powerful, great God, and He knows you and He loves you. He sees your pain, and He offers you comfort. Always remember, there is hope with God. Have you ever walked into a room and felt like the least important person there? Small and invisible, like the world runs on power, and you've got none to offer? Jesus said something that might surprise you. "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." In God's kingdom, every person is valued and loved. If you feel forgotten, I want you to know that you can reach out to God with open hands and find love and find belonging. This is good news: Jesus promises that life will be good for those who feel invisible because with Him, they will be seen, understood, and treasured. You can choose to receive this new life in God. It's greater than you can imagine! If you've felt small, come meet the One who sees you. Choose to walk with Jesus, and begin a new kind of life. Always remember, there is hope with God. Discover powerful spiritual lessons from Jesus' temptation in the wilderness (Matthew 4:1-4) and learn how to overcome your own struggles and temptations. In this teaching, we explore:Why temptation doesn't mean you're failingHow wilderness seasons and fasting strengthen faith and dependence on GodThe danger of trying to prove yourself instead of trusting God's timingHow to feed your soul with God's Word instead of satisfying temporary desiresPractical steps to resist the enemy and grow spirituallyWhether you're facing challenges, doubts, or unmet needs, this message shows how Jesus' example provides guidance for handling temptation, staying aligned with God, and walking in victory.
Do you ever feel like God is far away—or like faith is something for…other people? More religious people? More qualified people? More holy people? Well, let me tell you something amazing: God doesn't wait for us to climb up to Him. He comes down to us. That's exactly what Jesus did. In Matthew 9, we read that Jesus looked on the crowds, they were surrounding Him, and He had compassion on them because they were confused and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. He saw them. And He sees you, too. He still comes close to people today—no matter their past or their doubts, or where they're starting from. He is not distant. He is not passive…He's actually pursuing your heart. The message of Jesus is not a private treasure for just a few—it's Good News for all. You have the chance to start that relationship with God. Will you take it? Always remember, there is hope with God. Scripture Reference: Matthew 9:36 radio.hopewithgod.com

In Week 11 of our Sermon on the Mount series, Pastor Chris delivers a powerful and convicting message titled “Versions”, diving deep into Matthew 7:13-23. Through the lens of "choose-your-own-adventure" faith, Pastor Chris challenges us to examine whether we've customized our Christianity to fit our preferences—or surrendered to the real Jesus. This week, we explore:- The two paths: the wide road of convenience vs. the narrow road of obedience- The two voices: the flattering echo chambers of false prophets vs. the transforming truth of Jesus- The two claims: saying "Lord, Lord" vs. truly being known by HimKey Questions:- Are you walking the path of convenience or the path of obedience?- Who are you listening to—voices that flatter or voices that bear fruit?- Does Jesus truly know you, or do you just know about Him?In a world of curated faith and customized spirituality, Pastor Chris reminds us: Jesus is not a menu option. He is the only way. There aren't multiple versions of truth—there is one way that leads to life, and His name is Jesus.Whether you've followed Jesus for years or you're just exploring faith, this message will challenge you to lay down counterfeit versions of Christ and step into authentic discipleship—total surrender to the real Jesus of Scripture.Subscribe to stay updated on our Sermon on the Mount seriesLike this video if it spoke to youComment below: What part of today's message challenged or encouraged you?Share this message with someone who needs to hear it!Scripture Reference:Matthew 7:13–23 (ESV)"Enter through the narrow gate..."Connect With Us:Website: www.gracecityeugene.comInstagram & Facebook: @gracecityeugene
“If you, then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask him?” — Matthew 7:11In Week 10 of our Summer on the Mount series, Pastor Chris Zauner unpacks Jesus' powerful teaching on prayer in Matthew 7:7–11, inviting us to rethink our relationship with God through the lens of trust, boldness, and sonship.
Maybe you've felt that longing—that ache for something real, something lasting—and you've searched, and you've questioned, even felt moments of connecting with something deep. What if true peace isn't something that you have to work for, but someone who longs to know you? Jesus once said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” His peace isn't fragile or distant. It meets you right in your real life, with your real doubts and your hopes. So, what if that peace, that rest, is closer than you think? What if it's not about religion or ritual, but about being seen and loved, just as you are? Could it be that the One you've been looking for is already there, right now, reaching out to you—gently, patiently, lovingly? Always remember, there is hope with God. Scripture Reference: Matthew 11:27-12:14 If we are going to be the kind of church that looks and feels like Jesus, then there should be something about our body that is restful. A body of Christ removes burdens rather than heaps on burdens and shame. Jesus interaction with Pharisees on the Sabbath presses home this point, in the person of Jesus, people finally find true Sabbath rest. The One who says “come to me and you will find rest” should shape the way Christ Pres functions with each other and in Oxford. Sermon Points: Burdening Restlessness Life Giving Rest Restful Church
Do you feel lost? There's a story in the Bible, God's book of truth, it's a story about a shepherd with one hundred sheep, and one wanders away. He left his ninety-nine sheep to rescue the one sheep that took off on its own. Wow! That is true love. This story represents the love of Jesus for you. He is the shepherd, and we are the sheep. We try to figure out life on our own, and we stray from the shepherd's care. Even though we run, Jesus loves us so much that He rescues us. He comes for us and He brings us back. He wants to have a relationship with you.. Have you been running from God, afraid that He won't accept you back? You have a good shepherd who sees you and knows you. Come to Him today! Love to hear from you; “Send us a Text Message”What happens when you start defining yourself by your struggles rather than by your God-given identity? Deacon Gerald Marie Anthony tackles this profound question in a conversation that strikes at the heart of what it means to be authentically human in our confused modern world. The conversation delves deep into what Pope Pius X called "the synthesis of all heresies"—modernism—which teaches us we don't need God to progress. This mindset manifests when we put our ultimate trust in money, work, technology, or social acceptance rather than in our Creator. Through St. Faustina and the Divine Mercy devotion, we discover the antidote to modernism's emptiness. Whether you're battling pornography addiction, wrestling with unwanted attractions, or simply feeling lost in today's confusing cultural landscape, by placing our trust in Jesus rather than in ourselves or worldly solutions, we can experience true transformation. God governs the earth through time, and in every generation, He raises men and women who are sensitive to the times and seasons of their lives. This teaching dives deep into the prophetic rhythm of time, how to discern divine timing, and how to walk in alignment with God's plan for your life.Key Themes Covered in This Teaching:*Discernment: The spiritual ability to comprehend what is hidden and to judge rightly between two similar truths.*Seasons vs. Time: Seasons are made up of multiple phases of time; time itself is a specific, definite moment within a season.*Divine Timing: Some events are prophesied and accumulate over time until they are ready to manifest. Others are triggered by action, obedience, or alignment.*Spiritual Awareness: God wants His people to live with an awareness of their current spiritual season; to act in time, not out of time.Scripture Reference:Matthew 24:32 - “Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near.”Whether you're in a season of waiting, transition, or action, this message will help you discern where you are and how to move with divine precision.
Notes: The Wrath of the Lamb – Understanding Bible ProphecySession Overview- Date: Sunday, June 1, 2025- Host: L. David Harris- Program: Your Daily Portion- Topic: How to Study Bible Prophecy – The Wrath of the Lamb- Platform: Online broadcast and community at yourdailyportion.com- Theme: The paradoxical concept of the "wrath of the Lamb" and its implications for believers and non-believers in the context of the end times.---Key Concepts and Sections1. The Paradox of the Wrath of the Lamb- Key Question: “What is the wrath of the Lamb?” - The Lamb is a symbol of Christ, traditionally seen as gentle and sacrificial. - The idea of a lamb expressing wrath is paradoxical and meant to provoke thought.- Quote: “Have you ever seen lambs or sheep? What does that even mean? Lamb, lambs, wrath. Like what?”- Study Tip: Use the analogy of a lion and a lamb – Christ is both gentle and mighty. In His final act of judgment, the Lamb becomes the Lion of Judah.2. Biblical Reference: Revelation 6:12–17- Main Scripture: “And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake…” (Revelation 6:12)- Key Details: - Cosmic disturbances: darkened sun, blood-red moon - Earthquake and falling stars - People cry out to be hidden from the face of God and the wrath of the Lamb- Quote: “The face that should have been their comfort becomes their terror.”- Study Tip: Use the mnemonic “COSMIC JUDGMENT” to remember the signs – Cosmic events, Earthquake, Stars falling, Mountains and rocks, People hiding, Wrath, Lamb.3. Theological Insight: Christ's Sacrifice vs. Final Judgment- Jesus as the Sacrificial Lamb: - Silent before His accusers (Isaiah 53:7) - Took on the wrath of God for our sins- Contrast: - Jesus endured wrath to spare us from it. - Those who reject Christ will face the wrath of the Lamb in the final judgment.- Quote: “He died the death that we deserve so we can have the life that he deserves.”- Study Tip: Use the analogy of a courtroom – Jesus is both the Advocate and the Judge. He took the penalty so we wouldn't have to face it.4. The Final Rejection and Fear of God- Response of the Lost: - Recognize God's reality but do not seek mercy. - Cry out for hiding from the face of God and the Lamb. - Not repentant, only fearful.- Quote: “They recognize the truth but refuse to surrender to it.”- Connection to Adam and Eve: - Like Adam in the Garden, they hide in fear and shame. - Their separation is now irreversible.- Study Tip: Use the framework of “Hiding vs. Healing” – Those who rejected God's offer of salvation can no longer accept it and now fear His presence.5. Lesson 1: People Are Lost Not Because They Were Uninformed- Key Point: Final judgment is not due to ignorance, but rejection.- Quote: “People will be lost not because they were uninformed. There's no new information, but because they refused to believe.”- Study Tip: Use the phrase “Truth Delayed, Not Denied” to remember that God's patience is not a sign of cancellation.6. Lesson 2: Delay Is a Gift of Mercy- Key Point: God delays judgment to give people time to repent.- Quote: “Delay is a gift of mercy, not a cancellation of prophecy.”- Scripture Reference: 2 Peter 3:9 – “The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead, he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”- Study Tip: Use the analogy of a pregnancy – Just because the baby isn't born yet doesn't mean it won't come. The delay is purposeful and full of hope.7. Lesson 3: Christ's Coming Will Be Sudden to the Unprepared- Key Point: The Second Coming will be unexpected for those not watching.- Quote: “Suddenly to those who are unprepared.”- Scripture Reference: Matthew 24:39 – “And they knew not until the flood came. Just like in Noah's day…”- Study Tip: Use the “Noah's Ark Analogy” – Just as only those inside were saved, only those in Christ will be ready.---Actionable Takeaways- Be Prepared: Watch and wait for Christ's return.- Share the Gospel: Delay is mercy; use the time to reach others.- Examine Your Heart: Are you hiding from God or drawing near to Him?- Seek Mercy While It's Available: The door will not remain open forever.---Study Tips and Memory AidsMnemonics- COSMIC JUDGMENT – Remember the signs in Revelation 6- Hiding vs. Healing – Understand the final response of the lostAnalogies- Lion and the Lamb – Christ is gentle now, but will be mighty in judgment.- Pregnancy Analogy – Delay is purposeful and full of hope.- Noah's Ark – Only those inside (in Christ) will be saved.Frameworks- Three Lessons from the Wrath of the Lamb: 1. People are lost not because they were uninformed, but because they refused to believe. 2. Delay is a gift of mercy, not a cancellation of prophecy. 3. Christ's coming will be sudden to the unprepared.Reflection Questions- Are you prepared for Christ's return?- Are you hiding from God or drawing near?- Are you using the delay as an opportunity to grow and share the Gospel?Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/your-daily-portion-with-l-david-harris--2912188/support.

I read an article the other day and learned that when you hear a good story, your brain actually experiences it as though you're right there, living it yourself. So, what's the greatest story ever told? The story of Jesus, of course! The story of the Gospel. A true story. It gives an account of real events. And it's true in terms of what it means for you. Jesus came into the earth that He created. He died to pay for the sins of all mankind. And He offers you a relationship with Almighty God and eternal life. Jesus said this about the word of God, the Bible: …‘People do not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.' Will you experience it for yourself? I challenge you: start with the book of John. Step into God's story and allow Him to change your life. Remember, there is always hope with God. This is Andrew Palau.
