Happy E3! This past week had new reveals as did this past weekend, and we've got more as of today's posting here and more to come in the days ahead. So there's still plenty of time to recover and redeem the fact that Ubisoft dropped the ball on Splinter Cell, yet again. It's unlikely, however, […]
Happy E3 week! It’s an exciting week for gaming news, but we’re holding down the fort at Pixel x Pixel, serving you up a big ol’ mug of the usual brew. Marcus is busy getting ready for a driving test, Anne has to write an art exhibition review, and the Inclusive Geek Creators event is… Read More The post Pixel x Pixel Episode 19 appeared first on Chic Pixel.
Happy E3 everybody! The Co-Op Couple is tackling all the latest news coming from and adjacent to E3 2019. In Part 1 we discuss last week's Pokemon Direct, EA's press conference, and what we hope will be announced as the week progresses. We will revisit all of this and so much more in Part 2, so join us for next week's podcast for the follow up! Hotcakes this week include our opinion of Good Omens, Apple IOS 13, and the newest Ghostbusters film in the original series. Yes, original series for those who you who didn't love the remake. We have all that and so much more! Co-Op the Podcast is a weekly podcast where our hosts, Raven and Jesse, discuss topics ranging from video and tabletop gaming to football and comic books. Join them every week to hear about what they’re playing, reading, and watching! Be sure to subscribe and review our podcast on iTunes, Google Play, Spotify, and wherever else podcasts are consumed.
Another week doing oversaturated news like a bullet-hell with all that E3 coverage flying around everywhere. The GTA 5 casino that’s been closed for 6 years now might finally be opening while retro game console Kickstarters are coming out of the wood works – each with their own schtick from light gun controllers to more games added to the pile. Bulletproom foam, Walmart store to fridge deliveries, air conditioning drink coolers, it’s a rollercoaster of weirdness this week with Techscopo news.
This week on The Free Cheese, we welcome back that classic taste. We're recording this episode just hours before Xbox goes live with its E3 2019 announcements so we keep it a little light this time. We talk about what we've played this last week. Marc takes a trip to the swamp with Hunt: Showdown and tries World War Z's approach to the Left 4 Dead style of survival games. Matt climbs a few more levels in Rocket League and buys a few more in the Dota 2 Battle Pass. Joe explores a bit of the emptiness of space in Void Bastards to see if anyone can hear you scream. Happy E3 2019!
When was the first time you encountered sex in a video game? I've wanted to talk to Ana Valens for a long while about the amazing world of sex in video games, and how it intersects with marginalized identities. She's a trans/sex columnist at Daily Dot and a brilliant authority on the intersections between, sex, gender, and geek culture. We dive into the ways gaming culture still struggles to take its queer players seriously, how famous characters are "reclaimed" as queer icons, and the difference between a good, meaningful sex video game, and a lame one. It's a damn good show, y'all. Hey everyone! Happy E3! Alex, Donald, Zach, and Justin talk about all the E3 news. Smash Ultimate! Fortnite! Xenoblade 2 DLC! Fire Emblem! Plus, we talk about some third-party announcements - it's one heck of a show!
Hey everyone! E3 is coming soon so we thought we'd get this episode out early and not make our predictions redundant! Before we predict though, we discuss some games! Bally has finished up Runner3, played the Mario Tennis Aces Demo and played the modern classic Inside! Meanwhile Nbz whipped through Bloodstained Curse of the Moon - a modern classic Castlevania game if ever there was one! After the break we of course talk predictions for E3, while also bringing in some that you sent to us! It's E3! That's right, E3 has arrived and with it comes a veritable onslaught of games! Rob, Gareth and Don will walk you through the big three events: Microsoft, Sony and The Legend of Zelda... I mean Nintendo. Rob guides us through Microsoft's Press Conference as we talk about the likes of Gears of War 4, Forza Horizon 3, Scalebound, Dead Rising 4, Halo Wars 2, State of Decay 2, Inside, and We Happy Few. Quite an eclectic mix of games, but which member of the podcast thought literally none of them looked good? Then it's Don's turn to (slowly) walk us through Sony's Press Conference line-up. We discuss God of War, Death Stranding, The Last Guardian, Horizon: Zero Dawn, Detroit: Become Human, Resident Evil 7, Days Gone, Crash Bandicoot, and Playstation VR. We're split again with Sony's showing, but you'll have to listen to see who thought what about which. Then it's on to Nintendo to talk about what we saw of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The open world Zelda game was shown by Nintendo through live demos and we talk about what we saw, and where we think it might lead. We also briefly touch on Battlefield 1, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Titanfall 2, and Insomniac's Spiderman, as well as a few of the other titles dotted around the various events surrounding the big 3 press conferences. And finally we finish up with a grand old argument between Don and Gareth about the Project Scorpio announcement by Microsoft. It's been absolutely ages since 2 podcast hosts have disagreed about something this hard, so grab some popcorn, make yourself comfortable and get your ass ready for some fireworks! Happy E3, everybody! (Right-click the file and select "Save as" to download it, or left-click to listen in your browser)
It's the big E3 show, with a roundup of the games that looked the most interesting at this year's massive industry trade show. But it's also a sober week, as we spend much of our mailbag time pondering the industry's reaction to the Orlando tragedy. It's two Big Topics for the price of one this weekend.
This week on Game Crunch: E3 IS HERE! Mike, Brandon and Nick talk about the big news from E3. From the Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo conferences to the games like Final Fantasy VII Remake, Shenmue 3, The Last Guardian, and Earthbound Beginnings we try and sort through all of the excitement (and disappointments) over this […]
Happy Father's Day and Happy E3 2019! We have daddy issues, but we play video games. Everyone always asks to get choked by daddy, but no one ever asks if daddy wants to get choked!
