A Dysfunctional Divine Family Reunion
Guillaume Provost is a game designer, creative director, studio founder and CEO, with a passion for building immersive, story-driven experiences. After working as a programmer for games companies such as Pseudo Interactive and Arkane, in 2009 he founded his own independent studio, Compulsion Games. Under his leadership, the studio gained worldwide attention with its distinctive psychological game We Happy Few, celebrated for its evocative storytelling, unique art direction, and bold narrative choices. Now, my guest's studio has just released South of Midnight, an action-adventure game set in a fantastical version of the American Deep South, exploring themes of family, healing, and self-discovery. Be attitude for gains. https://plus.acast.com/s/my-perfect-console. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Chance has tried to leave feudal Japan, unsuccessfully. He is on playthrough two of Assassin's Creed Shadows after revisiting Ghost of Tsushima just long enough to see that it doesn't look as good. Chamberlain cannot believe that the same people who made We Happy Few just release South of Midnight, a game he loves in spite of its flaws. And Alex sticks by his strange statement that Blue Prince is an excellent puzzle game and not just something that put Chamberlain to sleep.
Join hosts Krissy Lenz and Nate McWhortor as they pour White Claws and dive into Season 8, Episode 22 of Supernatural, "Clip Show." This pivotal episode features Crowley systematically killing people the Winchesters have saved over the years, including Sarah Blake from Season 1's "Provenance." The hosts break down this tension-filled episode while playing their extensive drinking game with rules ranging from "someone dies" to "wash that taint."In this episode, Sam and Dean discover an ancient Men of Letters ritual to cure demons—just what they need for the third trial to close the gates of Hell. Meanwhile, Castiel teams up with Metatron to tackle heaven's problems, making some questionable choices along the way. The episode culminates in a heartbreaking sequence where Crowley executes Sarah Blake despite the brothers' desperate attempts to save her.Krissy and Nate analyze the clever writing of "Clip Show," particularly praising Crowley's devastating strategy of dismantling the Winchesters' life's work by killing those they've saved. The hosts discuss how the show subverts expectations with the title "Clip Show" despite featuring very few actual clips, and they share their frustrations with certain character decisions, particularly Castiel's actions with Metatron.Topics CoveredThe adorable shopping scene with Castiel buying "Busty Asian Babes"Abaddon's creepy disembodied hand sequenceThe terrible idea of digging up a Knight of Hell they'd previously defeatedSam's deteriorating health from the trialsThe tension between Dean and CastielMetatron's suspicious behavior and manipulationsThe recurring "wash that taint" line that becomes both meaningful and unintentionally funnyThe hosts wrap up by announcing their next episode—Season 11, Episode 22, "We Happy Few"—with another extensive set of drinking game rules as they continue their exploration of the Chuck storyline. Spel som nämns i avsnittet: Mario Kart World, Donkey Kong Bananza, Fortnite, The Duskbloods, Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour, AstroBot, Hollow Knight: Silksong, Witchbrook, Civilization VII, Zelda-spelen, System Shock, Prey, Bioshock, Deus Ex, Deathloop, Dishonored, South of Midnight, We Happy Few, Contrast, Flame in the Flood, Blue Prince. South of Midnight er nemlig deres første spil udviklet under Xbox.Er South of Midnight Compulsion Games bedste spil? Ja, det – og meget mere – skal vi finde ud af nu.I denne episode deltager David Darville, Emil Øgaard og Morten Urup. Tusind tak fordi du lytter med.
Music is undeniably a huge part of what makes video games special, both individually and on an industry-wide level. Not only is no gaming award show complete without a gong for the year's best soundtrack, but even the Proms have started acknowledging that video game scores have come a long way since the 8-bit days (without throwing any shade on chiptune, a legitimate genre in and of itself with some stone-cold classics). That's probably why, from huge AAAs to smaller indies, music can account for a significant chunk of any game's budget — and it's definitely worth the investment. For this episode, the Indieventure trio have pooled our vinyl collection to talk about some of our personal favourite indie game music highlights. I know you guys say you love long show notes but there's seriously no way I'm going to be able to list every track we talk about here — which is why we've put together [a YouTube playlist] that should cover everything instead! A quick overview, though, sees us talking about the music from games including Balatro, Bombrush Cyberfunk, Braid, Celeste, Crypt of the Necrodancer, Dear Esther, Death's Door, Dicey Dungeons, Disco Elysium, Everybody's Gone to the Rapture, Fields of Mistria, Firewatch, Hades, Hades II, Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, Hollow Knight, Hotline Miami, Hypnospace Outlaw, Journey, Kentucky Route Zero, Monster Prom 2: Monster Camp, Minecraft, No Straight Roads, Paradise Killer, Pizza Tower, Pyre, Return of the Obra Dinn, Stardew Valley, A Tower Full of Cats, Trombone Champ, Undertale, Unravel, and We Happy Few. If you'd like to hear every track we discuss in this episode in its entirety, we've added them all to a convenient YouTube playlist that you can find here. During the course of this chat we also promise you a couple of specific links, so go here for Bombrush Cyberfunk soundtrack memes, and here for one of the Ace Attorney x Danganronpa musical mashup channels on YouTube that Rebecca (and now Rachel too) is so very fond of. Finally, as ever, are our current hyperfixations! Rebecca has discovered an accidentally awesome double-bill of horror novels with a timely social message in Chuck Tingle's Bury Your Gays and Grady Hendrix's The Final Girl Support Group; Liam's been having a whimsical time in recently-released indie platformer The Plucky Squire; and Rachel is having a moment with girly pop in general, and Chappell Roan and Sabrina Carpenter in particular, thanks to the recent VMAs award show. Our music, meanwhile, was written and performed by Ollie Newbury! Find him on Instagram at @newbsmusic. Meanwhile, you can find us at indieventurepodcast.co.uk or wherever you listen to podcasts.

In today's Daily Fix:Xbox is starting off the year with new additions to Game Pass, including the Resident Evil 2 remake, Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Those Who Remain, Close to the Sun, We Happy Few, and more! There's something for everyone on that list. In retro gaming news, a thirteen-year-old kid beat Tetris. Yes, you can "beat" Tetris. And finally, CD Projekt Red has confirmed they have no interest in being acquired by another company. Their last major release, Cyberpunk 2077, had a very rocky launch, but has since drastically turned things around with the excellent expansion, Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty. They have several Cyberpunk and Witcher projects in the works, and are even exanding their studio presence in North America.
This week Jack and Jon are joined by actor and podcaster Matthew Leitch who performed in Band of Brothers and hosts the We Happy Few 506 podcast. The guys will be discussing the german mini series "Generation War."

Stef what do you think about the recent Bitcoin rally?Should I try to find married friends if divorced friends and forever bachelors drive single women away?DO YOU LIKE IT WHEN SOME PEOPLE FAIL?I warned a guy not to marry someone. He got pissed I wasn't invited to the wedding. Recently, he reached out to tell me that I was right. They are still marriedYour words about 100% responsibility in a relationship and accepting how you have manipulated your partner have been very grounding for me. (I refer to your recent call-in with the 30 year old man).Stef, the fact that you have a theater background. As well as your storytelling abilities and, of course, intelligence. I believe helped catapult you and your ideas. Would you be open to doing a show on storytelling and public speaking?

On today's episode, Marc talks about OnRush and how they're continuing to love it (and how you can try it out for free right now on Xbox One). In addition to all that, they talk about We Happy Few a skosh and, you guessed it, some more random comedies, including Tommy Boy and Dumb and Dumber. Anyway, something-something happy and sappy, cheers and enjoy the anime-zing(ly fun) show. Anyway, that's it and that's all folks, and, if you're feeling extra generous, you can become a patron, donate a little something-something, or subscribe to show your support for the site, podcast(s), and all the ridiculous jazz we make over here at Pixelated Sausage. And don't forget, you can also support the site by shopping at Amazon if that's your jam--you can probably buy your favorite blueberry jam on Amazon too.
On the surface, you'd think we'd gone all professional this week. We cover Fortnite Season 5, Captain Toad, We Happy Few and GLOW - classic fare. So how did Cardy, Joe and Rory get onto illicit 3DS photography, drugs and absolutely ruined jokes? We don't know, and we can only apologise. Please also sponsor us for running the British 10k this weekend. It's all going to the incredible Special Effect, so give as much as you can!
This week FilterChord and Nightswarm talk about Agents of Mayhem, Cities Skylines, Nidhogg 2, Sonic Mania, and We Happy Few. Email us at mammothgamesinc@gmail.com or send us a message on facebook and twitter (@mammothgamesinc) and we'll be sure to mention it on the show!

In episode 9, the guys discuss what they're playing. They talk about current events focusing on Nintendo NX rumors, We Happy Few early release, and Nintendo not benefiting as much as originally thought from Pokemon Go. Then...they let the hate flow through them when they discuss games that make them rage quit and Myke bring up the sensitive subject of inverted controls. In the "My Gift to You" segment, Myke discusses the game that Steak gifted to him and puts Art through a quiz to determine his gift. (Released 08.02.16)
From Pokémon to more NX rumors, Nintendo is the talk of the town this week. We've also got our impressions of Headlander, Quadrilateral Cowboy, and We Happy Few as well the worst phrase ever uttered to another human. This show is part of the Spreaker Prime Network, if you are interested in advertising on this podcast, contact us at https://www.spreaker.com/show/5929733/advertisement
Ryan and Matt "Small Favor" Amberg are back and blathering about Comic-Con trailers, Star Trek Beyond, Lethal Weapon 1 and 2, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Kill Command, The Mighty Ducks 2, Music of the Heart, Batman v Superman... EXTENDED!, Mr. Right, Edge of Tomorrow, and Race before it's [45 minutes and] on to time spent with GTA Online's Cunning Stunts, Overwatch, and Pokemon Go. Lesser men would stop here, and maybe we technically did, but we also kept talking about We Happy Few, Uno doodles, No Man's Sky, and Apple Watch RPG, Pac-Man Championship Edition 2, Destiny Rise of Iron, Gears of War 4: Fenix Rising (not the title), The Walking Dead (game and show!), LEGO Dimensions season 2, Sonic (the Hedgehog), the happily fabricated mini-console wars, Injustice 2, Quake Champions, Rocket League's Rocket Please (sure why not), and the Nintendo NX!
