Welcome to a very special one-hundredth episode of the Dunkin' with Dom podcast! With 100 episodes in the books and who knows how many more to go, what better way to commemorate this landmark than by deep-diving into one of the best NBA playoff games of all time. For the first time ever, three guests and I will spend nearly two hours in this next episode of the "History on the Hardwood" series. In this second edition of the "History on the Hardwood" series, Chris, Matthew, Michael, and I are winding the clock back to 2013 for one of the greatest NBA Finals games ever, one of the biggest shots ever, and one of the best playoff series historically to date. For every game covered, we'll provide all the historical context needed, followed by a nearly forty-minute breakdown of every play, key moment, and statistic. After that, we'll go through a series of part-fun/part-informative categories, including "Fun Facts", eleven hand-picked "Award Winners" (my personal favorite: the Joe Flacco/Jeff Green “How Crap, This Guy is On This Team?” Award), "Legacy Thoughts", "What-If Questions", and more. As an employee of KJR, a scout for the NFL, an employee of the AAF, and an all-around fan of football, it's no surprise that Tony Softli is at The Combine in Indy this week. With Kyler Murray measuring a little taller than some expected, are some of the concerns about him diminished at this point, and will the Cardinals take him as the first pick in the draft? Hugh reminds Softy that he's owed $1,000 from a bet they made over a decade ago, so Softy reminds Hugh that he'd eat a microphone if Russell Wilson ever amounted to anything. How exactly does one safely eat a microphone? It's obvious that the best way for the Dawgs to garner more respect around the country in both football in basketball is for the conference to do better, but things clearly aren't going well. What does the Pac-12 need to do to turn things around? Donald Watts is in basketball heaven with so much high school and college action to watch right now. We get his impressions from the players in the Hardwood Classic, plus his thoughts on the Dawgs this weekend. Is there any chance of a Cal upset?

Idol Sports Marketing is responsible for some of the largest one day non-conference college basketball games in the country. Jon Hines has developed a great strategy of bringing some of the top teams in the nation together to face each other, including Gonzaga’s basketball Comcast Battle In Seattle and the Washington State Cougar basketball Hardwood Classic, both at the Key Arena. Hines talks about the implementation and planning process of putting together such a large event, what it takes to ensure that each ticket that can be sold it, and how he prevents losing the college atmosphere by eliminating some of the higher price point seats in order to allow student sections to exist and thrive.
