On Friday's Daily Puck Drop, Jason “Puck” Puckett is joined by his weekly Friday guests, Jim Moore, handicapper TroyWins.com and Chris Egan, KING 5. Puck and Jim open up the show talking about the differences between Thanksgiving and Christmas and Puck put Thanksgiving as a -5.5 point favorite over Christmas. They jump into the discussion about the Mariners and the future of ROOT Sports and react to the Seattle Times article by Adam Jude and Ryan Divish that the team will once again operate on the network next season. However, there is not much clarity from the team and what exactly it will look like, which leaves many who work for the network in the dark. Jim and Puck discuss how unfair it is for the M's still keep their employees in the lurch of what their plans are. They wonder why the Mariners don't just steal a play out of the Kraken playbook and go on local television and then offer a streaming service. The Seattle Times also had a story about the wild success that the Kraken are having with their Kraken Hockey Network and so far early in the season it has been a runaway success compared to being on ROOT Sports the last few years. They also turn their attention to what the Mariners will do in free agency and the likelihood that they will sign Justin Turner and or Carlos Santana. On this weeks ‘Old Crimson, Jason “Puck” Puckett is once again joined by Paul Sorensen, Jim Moore and Jamey Vinnick from Cougfan.com The boys get right into the loss to New Mexico, which has now kicked them out of the College Football playoff discussion. Once again the Cougars defense failed to deliver and Puck brought up the point that he would like to see a coaching change at the defensive coordinator position or at least have Jake Dickert take over play calling duties. They question the offensive strategy under Ben Arbuckle and wonder why he went away from the running game so quickly in the second half when it was working so effectively in the first half? Should the Cougs incorporate more zone read for John Mateer moving forward? And, again the problem with the Air Raid is their lack of commitment to staying consistent with the rushing attack. Dickert made headlines this week when he said Oregon State are not there buddies. Some in the Cougars community have taken issue with what he said. Paul and Puck didn't see the problem with what he said, but Jim did and they discuss. Lastly, now that the carrot of the playoffs is over, what motivates the team for the last two weeks?

What about the impact of the NIL? Lastly, David details his love for Pullman and that it wasn't always the case, but as he's gotten older it's a town he couldn't ever imagine being anywhere else.

Puck opens up the show discussing the comments from WSU coach Jake Dickert about Oregon State not being their “buddies.” Puck shares his thoughts that some fans that are upset with the comments are off base. The Seahawks were gifted a favor in their win over the 49ers because the officials screwed up a timeout that should have been a penalty. Danny Kelly, The Ringer, joins Jason “Puck” Puckett to rap about the NFL, Seahawks, the Legion of Boom, Earl Thomas and fantasy football. On today's Daily Puck Drop, Jason “Puck” Puckett is joined by Tim Booth, Seattle Times and Curtis Crabtree, FOX 13 for the Ground Puck Seahawks Podcast. Puck starts off the show without Jim Moore, who is out sick, talking bout the Seahawks win and that without a doubt it was a signature win for Mike Macdonald. The Seahawks season was on the brink and they were able to pull off a great win on the road. Geno was great on the final drive and the defense looked like how we all thought Mike Macdonald's defense was going to look. Puck switched gears and talked about the Cougars loss to New Mexico and once again the defense continues to be an issue. Puck thinks a change needs to be made with their defensive coordinator and let Jake Dickert just call the defense for the final two games of the season. But, Puck could sense a loss was coming and it finally did. Tim Booth, Seattle Times and Curtis Crabtree, FOX 13 join Jason “Puck” Puckett for the Ground Puck Seahawks Podcast brought to you by Georgetown Brewery. All three agree that was clearly the best win of the season and one of the best wins for the Seahawks in the last several years. The defense was no doubt the story from the game, but the performance of Geno Smith, especially on the final drive was quintessential the “Geno Smith Roller Coaster” experience! Offensive line looked better with Abe Lucas back and Olu Oluwatimi playing center. However, as the three discussed, the running game is still very much an issue. Devon Witherspoon was everywhere and just showed why he's such an unbelievable weapon for Macdonald. The play of Tyrice Knight and Ernest Jones was phenomenal and illustrated why a move at linebacker was necessary. All of sudden the Seahawks have a legitimate shot to claim first place in the division next week. Sports are dumb and terrific at the same time. Puck then returns and discusses the rest of the sports weekend with “Weekend Roundup.” The dud that was the Mike Tyson/Jake Paul fight, however, the women's fight was incredible. Are the Steelers now a legit Super Bowl contender? Drew Lock can't catch a break and big deal the Bills beat the Chiefs. Prove it in the playoffs. Finally, “Hey, What the Puck!?” Puck goes back to the Seahawks. Sports are incredibly stupid and incredibly awesome at the same time. Most Seahawks fans and Puck included had written this team off, but they found a way to have a gutsy physical win. A win that could very well define Mike Macdonald and the rest of the season.

On today's Daily Puck Drop, Jason “Puck” Puckett was joined by Jim Moore, the Go-2-Guy who jumps on the show every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Also joining the show on Friday was former Seahawks linebacker Lofa Tatupu, PuckSports handicapper TroyWins.com and Chris Egan from KING 5. Puck and Jim start off the show talking about the news that Dave Sims is leaving the Mariners and will become the new radio voice of the New York Yankees. They discuss who should replace Dave on both radio and TV and Puck makes his pitch for Gary Hill on the radio side. What will they do on the TV side of things?Puck is worried about the Cougs game against New Mexico and Jim is starting to share those concerns. They welcome Lofa Tatupu to the show to talk about the Seahawks game against the 49ers and how the Seahawks could possibly pull off the upset. Lofa details his business ventures with Savage Brewery and 1937 Cannabis Farms. Lofa said he was surprised that the Seahawks moved on from their linebackers but understands the decision. Lofa sees a lack of physicality and play making ability from that group. Lofa is also surprised by the sloppiness and undisciplined football from the players and the coaches. As they turn their attention to the 49ers, the biggest question is how do you stop Christian McCaffrey? it will take the whole defense to focus and gang tackle, something as Lofa points out that they have been bad at this season. PuckSports handicapperTroyWins.com joins the boys to discuss the upcoming football weekend. Troy gives his “Lock of the Week” and all three introduce a new segment, “Dog of the Week.” Each picked an underdog and will keep tally for the rest of the season. They also discussed Friday's fight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson. Chris Egan of KING 5 joined Jason “Puck” Puckett to wrap up the Friday show. Egan and Puck talked about the greatest sports broadcasters in Seattle history with the news of Dave Sims leaving for New York. Egan chastised Puck and Cougar fans for always focusing in on the Huskies. Puck fired back at Egan that this has been a glorious year to be a Cougar fan and we love that the Huskies are struggling! Egan has an addiction to Safeway chicken tenders and needs help. He also details his love for $150 turkeys and why does he keep buying them?Friday marks the start of the 16-team high school football playoffs and Egan details his KING 5 “Big Game of the Week” featuring Decatur High School. They also promote their high school playoff preview show that featured them and Todd Milles of ScoreBookLiveWA and Jon Manley of the Tacoma News-Tribune. Lastly, “Hey, What the Puck!?” Puck can't wait to watch Mike Tyson destroy Jake Paul in their fight on Netflix. Puck wants the younger generation to get a glimpse of how dominant of a fighter that Tyson was.
