Ryan Grubb, Huskies Offensive Coordinator is once again the Softy and Dick appointed offensive coordinator of the week. While the Huskies handily won the game, there are things he wants to work on, especially starting stronger. Coach provides an outlook on what he saw from the offensive and defensive units, as well as individual players. Plus, a look at the rotation on the offensive line, which Coach says was intentional. Also, what's going on with Richard Newton? Husky Player of the Week! Roger Rosengarten, UW Right Tackle joins Softy and Dick to tell them how many Taco Time burritos he can put away, what the team learned from their slow start against Boise State and just how personally the offensive line takes it when Michael Penix Jr. gets hit. In his mind, Penix won't get touched again. Mariners lose their game to the Reds and have now lost three of their last four. There are some concerns about the starting pitching staff right now, but hopefully we're looking at a bounce back starting tomorrow.

He tells the guys what he saw in the Huskies' first game and what we can take away from it considering where Boise State is this year. He tells you about the concerns he had early on in the game against Boise State. We are gearing up for the Seahawks game this weekend and give a preview of what to expect. Dick doesn't like that there is no NFL on during Labor Day weekend, but Softy brings up the point that nobody is going to compete with the NFL. Dick sees missed opportunities in college football too. UW's President Ana Mari Cauce says she's ok with continuing the Apple Cup in Seattle and Pullman every other year. Softy and Dick think there's still merit to playing the game.
Softy is pumped to be working this Labor Day because the guys have the chance to talk Husky football. Michael Penix Jr. tore it up against Boise State, a team that had the potential to make things difficult. Dick thought it would be a high scoring game for both teams, and perhaps underestimated the Huskies' defense. How good is this Huskies team as compared to the greats of the past? Plus, what are reasonable expectations for the season after watching the opener? Softy wasn't impressed by the run game fore the Huskies on Saturday, and the guys are comparing UW to the best of the best in college football. Dick isn't concerned between the 20s in the run game, but he is inside the red zone. Deion Sanders will continue to be must-listen radio and we hear some of the highlights from him postgame after their win over TCU.
