Welcome to the Dunkin' with Dom podcast! I'm Dominic Chiappone, host of the Dunkin' with Dom podcast! On this pod, we'll be covering a wide array of NBA topics at least twice a week. Everything about the league will be discussed: season narratives, franchise transactions, team rankings, marquee matchups, playoff predictions, award races, player legacies, and so much more. On each episode, we will be bringing in various guests who are educated, passionate, and ready to entertain.
Welcome to the 165th episode of the Dunkin' with Dom podcast! The Denver Nuggets are your 2023 NBA champions, capping off a wild and headline-filled 2022-2023 season. In this episode, Micah and I discuss what this title means for Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray and the Denver Nuggets in the grand scheme of things. Additionally, what does a ring mean for Nikola Jokic's all-time NBA ranking? How does he stack up against the dominant centers in league history? How many players would he theoretically fall behind in the all-time rankings (spoiler alert: not many)? It's time to have that discussion. Today's guest(s): Micah Goldstein

In this multi-guest episode of the pod, the three of us (Austen, Matthew, and myself) look ahead to the NFL playoffs, breaking down the biggest stories, teams, and narratives for this year's postseason. We'll start off by discussing the strengths and weaknesses of the legit contenders while contextualizing this year's postseason, including why San Francisco is our favorite out of all the NFC playoff teams, concerns with Minnesota and Philadelphia, an intriguing Tampa versus Dallas game, how much of a dark-horse are the Chargers, the top of the AFC, and (much) more. Welcome to the 163rd episode of the Dunkin' with Dom podcast! In today's episode, Micah and I will be going through the daunting task of filling out our MVP ballots at the midway point of this NBA season. But first, we open up the pod to share our thoughts and reaction to Damar Hamlin's health emergency during last week's Monday Night Football game between Buffalo and Cincinnati. Our discussion includes our initial responses at the moment, the importance of social media and context in analyzing what happened, and what this says about the NFL as an institution. Then, we'll break down our MVP ballots, answering some important questions along the way. What are our criteria to evaluate the NBA's best of the best, and what's to make of individual stats in an era of high scoring for the league? How does an MVP impact the legacies of Nikola Jokic and Giannis Antetokounmpo? How do we decipher between Jayson Tatum and Luka Doncic? Where do we agree and disagree the most? How important is the context of the team and elevating the rest of the roster? All that and more will be covered.
