He then talks about Pete Crow-Armstrong's burgeoning stardom—why his showmanship stands out, and why it's exactly what a star-hungry city like Chicago needs. Jason also talks about the growing expectations for the Cubs and why the team needs to let PCA be PCA. Later, Jason breaks down the NBA playoffs, including two underwhelming Game 7s, why Amen Thompson was the most impactful player on the floor, and why the Rockets needed more from Jalen Green and Alperen Sengun. To wrap, Jason gives his thoughts on another non-update on the Bears stadium front. Jalen Green had 29 points while Alperen Sengun scored 20 to lead the Rockets to a 111-104 victory over the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday. Houston extended their winning streak to four games. "We got back to guarding at a pretty high level," head coach Ime Udoka said. With Jabari Smith Jr. and Fred VanVleet returning to the lineup, the Rockets have been given a boost as the conclusion of the regular season approaches in a tightly contested race for spots 2-5 in the Western Conference. "The luck of being totally healthy throughout the season is unrealistic," Udoka said. "That's the blessing that we have with our team is that we have a lot of interchangeable parts." Houston has seen success in rolling out bigger lineups, intermixing Smith, Sengun and Steven Adams. "Double bigs have been really good for us," Udoka said. "It comes down to a war of will with the bigs and smalls out there and who can take advantage of what." Adams and Suns center Mason Plumlee were ejected before halftime of Wednesday's matchup after the pair wrestled each other to the court. Adams' presence under the basket on both ends of the floor is a major factor in the Rockets leading the league in offensive rebounds, averaging 14.7 per game this season. "In order to be a really good offensive rebounder like [Adams] does, you have to have a great sense of where the ball is going to come off the rim. But it starts with his strength and wedging guys under, carving out that space for himself. A lot of times, he's going to get the ball, but also he commands a double, triple team on the glass, and he allows other guys to clean up and get those opportunities as well," Udoka said. The Rockets host the Mavericks on Friday in the first of a back-to-back as the Bulls will be in the Toyota Center the following night.

The Rockets (39-25, No. 5 in West) enter Monday coming off back-to-back wins but needing to navigate a new short-term reality without second-year star Amen Thompson, who is out for at least 10-to-14 days with a left ankle sprain. With that in mind, our reaction show explores why the injury may have come at a fortunate time of Houston's schedule; what lineups Ime Udoka can rely on in Thompson's absence; and why Jalen Green and Alperen Sengun could be the players with the most responsibility to step up.

Hearing from Coach Ime Udoka, Sean and Brian take a moment discussing the pretty lengthy season the NBA has from October to April with 82 regular season games, could this young Rockets core be fatigued approaching the end of the regular season?

On this installment of The Kevin O'Connor Show, New York Knicks superfan and Yahoo's own Ariel Helwani stops by to demand RESPECT for his squad! Ariel is tired of national media — including TNT's "Inside the NBA" — disrespecting a Knicks team that has been rolling as of late. Ariel is sick of hearing the tired take that Coach Thibs plays his starters too many minutes. Helwani didn't stop there — he thinks Josh Hart is hooping like a "top 24 player" in the NBA! And that Jalen Brunson is the "pound-for-pound" #1 player in the NBA. And Karl-Anthony Towns gets some major love for his defense against Nikola Jokic — despite Draymond Green thinking otherwise on social media.Speaking of Dray's beef with KAT, Ariel explains why he wants to see the two of them duke it out in the octagon. And while we're at it, who would win in a real fight between Shaquille O'Neal and Dwight Howard?Don't miss Kevin's takes on the NBA All-Star Reserves and snubs. KOC thinks *5* players should have gotten in before Jaylen Brown (!), has thoughts on Trae Young's snub, and explains why the Kyrie Irving omission was so glaring. Houston Rockets fan and podcast personality Roosh Williams stops by on this episode for a deep dive on Clutch City, including his thoughts on Alperen Sengun making the All-Star reserves over Domantas Sabonis of the Sacramento Kings. Plus, could Houston be in the running for Kevin Durant sooner than we think?
