Kerr, Dunleavey and Lacob built this roster, this roster and lineup is the result of what these key player built, Warriors have to figure this out, the roster construction has to be figured out and more!
Warriors Executive Vice President Kirk Lacob joins Steiny & Guru LIVE at Chase Center before Klay Thompson returns to Golden State to recall his first moments with Klay, the 4 championships he helped build, and how the 2024-25 Warriors have a chance to be great.
Hour 4 - Steiny & Guru chat with Warriors EVP Kirk Lacob about Klay Thompson coming back to Chase Center and what made Klay Thompson so special as a person and a player.
Hour 4 - Steiny & Guru wonder if the Warriors would be so arrogant to test Stephen Curry's loyalty by simply allowing the current course of non-competition to take place. What if Curry holds the trump card?!
In Hour 2 of Devone and Dumas, hosts Dan Devone and Jason Dumas pivot to the Warriors and how Draymond's comments of not wanting to trade for another player deter from what Curry and Lacob are trying to accomplish and that's building a better team to win. Dumas believes they need to do all they can to make sure Curry has the roster to compete for another title.
In today's Show, Steiny and Guru get right into the Warriors and Joe Lacob's interview with Tim Kawakami. Lacob makes it clear that the Warriors window of opportunity is still vastly open, Steiny and Guru seem to think there's not a clear cut direction based on Draymond's recent comments on free agency. Another NFL qb gets paid in Miami, which begs the question, does Brock deserve a big pay day? If so, how much is he worth? Guru thinks he's worth it but Steiny has other ideas.
In Hour 4, Willard and Dibs (in the morning!) continue to discuss Camilo Doval's potentially shaky future with the Giants, wonder if the Jazz are using the Warriors, hear the latest from Joe Lacob, and more.

In hour 4, Grandi, Dumas and Dibs discuss Ramona Shelbourne and Kendra Andrews report that Klay and Lacob went golfing in Los Angeles and never discussed Klay's new contract
Dibs, Grandi, and Dumas discuss the Warriors offseason and how they feel about the new acquisitions and the new report from Ramona Shelbourne and Kendra Andrews that Klay and Joe Lacob went golfing and didn't discuss Klay's new contract at all. They also discuss if the Warriors are now better off without Klay.
Dibs, Dumas, Grandi, Steiny and Guru discuss Klay and Joe Lacob golfing together in LA and how they did not figure anything out for Klay's future.
Hour 1 - Steiny & Guru dive into the ESPN feature story on the fallout between the Warriors and Klay Thompson, which apparently ended on a golf course in Southern California and Joe Lacob in the center of it.
In Hour 2, Steiny and Guru chat with Kirk Lacob, the Warriors Executive Vice President of Basketball, about the team's offseason, their confidence in the team's ability to keep competing at a high level, and more.
The Warriors Executive Vice President of Basketball joins Steiny and Guru ahead of the second round of the NBA Draft.
Monte Poole and Dalton Johnson are joined by Golden State Valkyries president Jess Smith and general manager Ohemaa Nyanin to discuss what it means to bring a WNBA team to the Bay Area, where the team name Valkyries originated from and Joe Lacob's desire to win a championship in the first five seasons.(1:18) Breaking down the growth with the WNBA(11:18) Valkyries ready to make it in Bay Area(17:40) Revealing the origins of the Valkyries name(25:08) Smith details the growth of the WNBA(31:42) What advantages will the Valkyries have?(36:20) Nyanin on Lacob's championship expectationsSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Bonta and Shasky review Draymond's statements from the Point Game podcast, where he revealed Lacob said he could be a good coach for the Warriors after Steve Kerr.
Steiny and Evan ( filling in for Guru) get into Wednesday's show talking about all things Giants baseball and whether or not it's feasible this season to let the young guys play or should they pivot back to the veterans based upon the 300+ mil payroll they invested in this season. The guys also dive into something Draymond said on podcast where he gets Lacob's blessing to be a head coach. Meanwhile, around the NBA, are the Pacers DONE after one game and are the Timberwolves going to be a fun watch in the WCF??

Baxter Holmes of ESPN, who authored a long piece about Joe Lacob and the Golden State Warriors, joins Willard and Dibs to discuss Lacob's confidence, the Warriors' future, their past transgressions, and more.
Andy Kamenetzky and Cyrus Saatsaz host a crossover episode to discuss the shocking news broken this morning by ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski and Ramona Shelburne that the Golden State Warriors reached out to the Los Angeles Lakers to discuss a potential blockbuster trade that would've traded superstar LeBron James to the Warriors. Talks never got particularly far, beyond it reaching ownership level, with Joe Lacob speaking directly to Jeanie Buss, who said she'd only sign off on a deal involving LeBron if that's what the superstar wanted. Lacob was then referred to Klutch boss Rich Paul, who confirmed that LeBron wanted to remain in L.A., and that was that. The King stays in L.A. But no doubt that even as a hypothetical, this is fascinating stuff. Plus, it speaks to the tenuous place both franchises were in a couple of weeks ago. Segment One: Holy (bleep)! This call happened! Segment Two: Who would the Lakers have demanded in exchange for LeBron if he wanted to move? Would Golden State have agreed? Segment Three: What's next, if anything? On this week's episode of The Atlantic Files Podcast, Kevin Durant sprains his MCL and will be out for at least a couple weeks, he also does an interview and says NBA fans are entitled, the first round of NBA All-Star voting returns came out, Gregg Popovich talks about the terrible defense of today's game, Joe Lacob hints at maybe trading one of the Golden State Warriors big three, and more! Kevin Durant will have to spend some time on the sidelines as he sprained his MCL and has been reported out for at least a few weeks. He will be re-evaluated after that time just in case the healing process doesn't go as planned. The scare comes from the fact that he missed six weeks with this same injury in seasons prior, but reports have said it's not as serious as before. Can the Nets stay afloat without their top player? Durant also gave an interview where he compared today's game with eras before and how the fans perceive the game today. He said that fans today are entitled because they consume it way more than the generations before them and they have started to take the game for granted. Do you agree with what he had to say? Then, the first round of NBA All-Star voting returns came out! There were a few surprises but the big names prevailed as usual when it came to the top vote-getters. The biggest issues came from the names that didn't appear on the list at all! Finally, there were quotes from Gregg Popovich and Joe Lacob. Coach Pop sarcastically talked about adding a four and five-point shot because nobody wants to play defense anyway. Then, Lacob hinted at trading away one of the original big three before it was too late. Who do you think will be the odd man out? Warriors owner Joe Lacob was fined $500K by the NBA, because he went on a podcast and questioned the league's luxury tax system. The podcast was hosted by Andre Iguodala and Evan Turner. One of Lacob's players, Draymond Green, recently called former players and now ESPN host a racial slur "c##n". No fine...no suspension....nothing from the league regarding Green's racial epithet. So I guess racial slurs are ok if you're a player, but an owner talking about the league's luxury tax is a no-no. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
