CALLER BACKGROUND: SHANNON'S SIDE Shannon confident the date went well.No kissing or overt romantic moments, but the vibe felt good.Craig said, “Hit me up” at the end — Shannon took that as an invitation. She didn't want to seem desperate, so she turned to the show for help. REACHING OUT TO CRAIG Kevin calls Craig, who agrees to talk (a little reluctantly).Hosts explain the segment and Shannon's perspective.Craig shares he's not interested in a second date — “not a fit.”Hosts probe: “What happened?” CRAIG'S REASON: RED FLAGS Craig says Shannon was fixated on his ex.Asked many questions: Who she was, what she looked like, why they broke up, did he cheat, etc.Felt like it lasted 15+ minutes. He wants to focus on the present, not dwell in the past.Said it gave him “a weird vibe.”THE CONFRONTATION: SHANNON JOINS THE CALL Shannon joins the line — surprised and confused. She argues that asking about an ex is normal for getting to know someone.Defends her questions as trying to understand Craig's background.Craig stands firm — felt like interrogation, not conversation.Shannon insists it wasn't “trauma dumping,” just curiosity.DEBATE: WHO'S IN THE RIGHT? Craig thinks it was obsessive; Shannon thinks it was reasonable.Shannon accuses Craig of avoiding the topic because he might still have feelings for his ex.Craig disagrees — he just wanted to move forward, not backward.Hosts question both sides: Is it okay to ask about exes on a first date?CLOSURE Hosts ask Craig if he'd consider another date if the ex talk was off the table.Craig declines: “Cat's out of the bag. It already happened.”Shannon disappointed but thanks the hosts. Both wish each other well.HOSTS RECAP + COMMENTARY Hosts reflect on:The fine line between curiosity and interrogation.Whether it's appropriate to dig into someone's past on a first date.Importance of reading social cues and knowing when to move on.Some empathy for both sides: curiosity is human, but timing matters.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson is calling Trump an "unstable human being" for sending federal agents to arrest Venezuelan gang members in his city. Let that sink in for a moment. Nearly 300 ICE agents carried out a targeted operation against Tren de Aragua gang members, and Johnson's response? Pure outrage that someone dared to enforce immigration law in his sanctuary city.We break down Johnson's CNN meltdown with Wolf Blitzer, his claims about "militarized troops," and the shocking reality that he's more upset about ICE doing their job than actual gang members terrorizing Chicago residents. Meanwhile, cities like Memphis are welcoming federal help because their mayors understand basic public safety. So here's the million-dollar question: How exactly do you defend keeping foreign gang members in American communities? And why are Chicago residents supposedly "shocked and appalled" by the sight of law enforcement actually enforcing the law? The mental gymnastics are Olympic-level here, folks.

Story 1: The term “fascist” has become the go-to insult among politicians and political steamers as of late, but how many of them understand the definition behind it? Will breaks down what the true definition of fascism is and explains how its misuse can potentially embolden some to commit acts of violence. Story 2: Congressman Andy Barr (R-KY) joins Will to discuss the rise in support for socialism in Democrats across the country, and the ripple effect it has had amongst the Democratic Party's politics. In this episode of The Rickey Smiley Morning Show Podcast, listeners got a mix of joyful news, celebrity drama, and campus confrontation. The RSMS crew celebrated the arrival of Rihanna and A$AP Rocky’s third child, a daughter named Rocki Irish Mayers, born on September 13, 2025—a girl after two sons. The talk then shifted to JT’s public response to Cardi B, where she defended her man against accusations and confronted Cardi’s insults with blunt comparisons and support for his character. Tension peaked when a group of MAGA supporters calling themselves “Fearless Debaters” trespassed onto Tennessee State University’s campus, arriving with signs reading “DEI should be illegal” and “Deport all illegals now.” They were quickly escorted off campus by TSU police, but the incident ignited debate on free speech, political provocation, and how Black institutions are treated in today’s climate. Alex Acosta's appearance before Congress was nothing short of a masterclass in bureaucratic nonsense and evasive cowardice. Instead of accountability, he offered the same tired excuses and jargon-filled deflections, pretending that the Epstein plea deal was some sort of complicated chess match rather than what it truly was: a grotesque betrayal of justice. He smirked, stammered, and dressed up cowardice as prudence, insisting his hands were tied when in reality, he was the one tying them. It was a performance not of contrition but of arrogance, as if the public should feel lucky that this man even bothered to show up and grace them with his half-truths.Worse still, Acosta continues to play his role in the Epstein charade, feeding the illusion that this was merely an unfortunate footnote in a prosecutor's career rather than a calculated decision that shielded a predator and his powerful friends. By refusing to admit fault or show genuine remorse, he reinforces the same wall of silence that has defined the entire cover-up from day one. His congressional testimony wasn't about truth—it was about maintaining the narrative, keeping the spotlight off the networks of influence that Epstein served. Acosta wasn't testifying for the people; he was testifying for the system that thrives on protecting the powerful, and in doing so, he revealed exactly why history will remember him as a coward who sold out justice and stood by it with a smirk.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:Alex Acosta: Former US attorney defends Epstein's 2008 plea deal in hours-long appearance on Capitol Hill | CNN Politics
