Courage Cast - Faith, Encouragement and Motivation for Today
We have learned this the hard way recently just because we simply didn't ask. We missed out on opportunities to help great people with their health. Whatever business you are in, whatever dreams you have and goals you want to pursue remember do not forget to ask. Asking is your vehicle for receiving. It does not mean begging, it does not indicate that you are selfish. Quit lying to yourself about asking because you think asking means you're a bad person. You have something of value to offer which is yourself. Do not undervalue yourself or undervalue what you have to offer to others. The right time to ask is today. "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you." Matthew 7:7
Loving parents love to give a gift to their kids, the joy of christmasy morning is more about giving than receiving. Jesus says ask and the Father will hear your prayer and give it to to you. Jesus explains us asking and receiving, He does not say ask for anything and every desire or whim will be satisfied.
Colossians 3:15, Psalm 122-123, James 4:2, 2 Corinthians 12:7-9, Matthew 7:7
Who do you reach out to in times of crisis? Who has the power to help? We continue our Help series in the book of Luke when Jesus brings healing and comfort during two times of crisis.
Faith is about knowing God. The Journey of Faith starts by seeking God. If we seek Him we will find Him (begin to know Him). As we continue to seek Him we grow in knowing Him: (1) as the Father, our Creator, (2) as the Son, our Saviour, and (3) as the Spirit, the Transformer of our spirit, soul and body.
