Do You Like The Fantastic Four? Hello, and welcome to episode 212 of The Fantasticast. Each week, Steve Lacey and Andy Leyland guide you through every issue, guest-appearance and cameo of The Fantastic Four. To conclude our podcasting year, we're taking a break from covering every issue of the Fantastic Four. As you may know, we took the podcast to Thought Bubble this past November, sharing a table with our show artist Michael Georgiou. Whilst we were there, we took advantage of having a large number of guest-hosts (past and future) at the convention, and invited them to take part in our Fantasticast pop quiz. 13 podcasters. 5 questions. One episode. Thank you to Joe Cunningham, Fraser Geesin, Michael Georgiou, Christine Hanefalk, Stephen Lacey, Andrew Leyland, Micheal Leyland, Al Kennedy, Ryan O'Sullivan, Seb Patrick, Stacey Taylor, Dan White and David Wynne for taking part! The Podcast That Goes Like This Hello, and welcome to episode 117 of The Fantasticast. Each week, Steve Lacey and Andy Leyland guide you through every issue, guest-appearance and cameo of The Fantastic Four. This is it. The end of an era. Fantastic Four #102, featuring the dual-menace of Magneto and the Sub-Mariner, and the final issue of the Fantastic Four pencilled by Jack Kirby. There's a certain serendipity to releasing this episode on the 21st anniversary of his passing, although absolutely no planning went into this! Joining us to take a look at this landmark issue of the Fantastic Four is Micheal Leyland, one half of Heykids Comics, one third of Andy's offspring, and 100% of the people who have said 'yes' to appearing on the show then never turned up for the recording. We've finally got him, and as an added bonus, we even exposed him to an Inhumans story from Amazing Adventures #2. The opening trailer is for the Kickstarter of Ray Gunn and Starburst. Hello, and welcome to a special midweek minisode of The Fantasticast. Each week, Steve Lacey and Andy Leyland guide you through every issue, guest-appearance and cameo of The Fantastic Four. It's finally here. An official trailer for this year's Fantastic Four film. Even the best of expectations were low for this, following lots of silence from the studio, some unfortunate mis-speaking from the cast, and lots of rumours. In this special episode, Steve and Andy are joined by Micheal Leyland to discuss the trailer, their reactions to it, and some notable observations that have been made. We discuss the influences of Ultimate Fantastic Four, and Andy gets very distracted by Philip Glass. It all begins here...again...for maybe the third time, I stopped counting. Yes, Just One of the Guys is entering a new era in the comics we're covering. The spectacular Ron Marz run on the book has ended, but before we head into the Judd Winick era, we have to sit through a couple of stories penned by Jay Faerber. And in issue 126 of Green Lantern, Mr. Faerber brings us a tale of hostage rescue and illegal experimentation on supervillains. I say supervillains, but honestly it's pretty much the d-listers with Typhoon and Sonar being the stand outs. But is this just another filler issue that will make me throw the book down in disgust? You'll have to listen to find out. Plus we're taking a look at the second Green Lantern 80 Page Giant. And this time, it's not filled with inventory crap. In fact, the stories, which team Kyle with various heroes from the DCU, are really pretty good. Plus I've been fortunate enough to wrangle the best podcasters on the internet to join me in covering this book. You'll hear such luminaries as Rob Kelly, Andrew Leyland, Stephen Lacey, W. Blaine Dowler, Paul Spataro, Dave Walker, J. David Weter, Micheal Leyland, Flava Flav, Steve and Edie, the magic of Doug Henning, former U.N. Secretary Boutros Boutros-Ghali, and Mummenschanz! So grab a refreshing beverage and get ready to be amazed at how much better all these people are at podcasting than your host. I guarantee you'll love every second, or double your purchase price back. So what are you waiting for?
