With lightning, there is thunder. With death, there is grieving. It's a natural part of life. We covered in the last episode the rituals that come with death. Traditional Judaism urges mourners to bury their loved ones so that their souls could be put to rest as soon as possible. There are other traditions and customs that stem from the Torah. But what does the Torah say about the recovery process after the fact? Inspirational coach Zach Faerber is no stranger to grief. After having been orphaned at a young age, he applies his personal experience to his expertise, helping those that suffer to better their quality of life in numerous ways. Host of Bad Jew, Chaz Volk, joins Zach in questioning the regimented outline of the grieving process the Torah provides. Faerber shares his personal journey while also allowing us to see into his life on how he grieves while maintaining a positive and happy life. About Zach Faerber: Zach Faerber is a passionate health and fitness coach based in sunny San Diego, California. Attorney Pete Faerber has a long history of military service. He was commissioned into the United States Marine Corps as a 2nd Lieutenant in 1992 and served as a pilot on active duty for 10 years, with the most flight time in the AH-1W Supra Cobra. After ten years on active duty, Pete attended law school and then served as a judge advocate in the Marine Corps, retiring in January 2021 as a Lieutenant Colonel. Pete has more than 13 years of experience in the Disability Evaluation System (DES). After helping clients navigate through the DES, Pete decided that he wanted to establish a non-profit to help active duty members and veterans navigate the DES. Pete founded The Warriors' Lawyer, the only certified 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with an exclusive focus on protecting the rights and entitlements of injured service members. The Warriors' Lawyer's mission is to ensure the wounded, ill, or injured Service Members and Veterans are afforded their full rights to determination and appeal within the DoD's Disability Evaluation System – at NO COST to the member.

Today we're going to talk about how to build a brand strategy that drives your customer experience and to do that we brought on Bettina Papirio-Faerber, who is the VP of Strategy and CX at One and All Agency. Bettina's purpose at her agency is to support purpose driven brands in their missions, which goes from for profit to non-profit, and working with them and guiding them through connecting their mission and purpose with their customers. CX plays a huge role in that, knowing who you're talking to, and also how that flows with your brand, so it's a great topic to discuss today. With Mike on assignment this week for some big Multiversity Comics happenings, Greg brings in not one, but TWO guests to help fill the void. ROBOTS and Multiversity Comics contributor Paul Lai is joined by his comic-reading younger brother Sonny as the three lads discuss one of the more interesting miniseries of 2015: "Oh, Killstrike". This BOOM! Studios book tells a tale steeped in comics history meta-text and gargantuan-sized vengeance, as the fanboy-and-new-father protagonist is teamed up with a living, breathing version of the main character from "The Worst Comic Book Ever Created": Killstrike! Written by Max Bemis and drawn by Logan Faerber, "Oh, Killstrike" is chock-a-block with the type of in-jokes, commentary, and story that we love to dissect here at ROBOTS...no matter who's behind the mic! So all that and tons more is just a single mouse click away! Robots From Tomorrow is a weekly comics podcast recorded deep beneath the Earth's surface. You can subscribe to it via iTunes or through the RSS feed at RobotsFromTomorrow.com. You can also follow Mike and Greg on Twitter. This episode is brought to you by Third Eye Comics. Enjoy your funny books.
It all begins here...again...for maybe the third time, I stopped counting. Yes, Just One of the Guys is entering a new era in the comics we're covering. The spectacular Ron Marz run on the book has ended, but before we head into the Judd Winick era, we have to sit through a couple of stories penned by Jay Faerber. And in issue 126 of Green Lantern, Mr. Faerber brings us a tale of hostage rescue and illegal experimentation on supervillains. I say supervillains, but honestly it's pretty much the d-listers with Typhoon and Sonar being the stand outs. But is this just another filler issue that will make me throw the book down in disgust? You'll have to listen to find out. Plus we're taking a look at the second Green Lantern 80 Page Giant. And this time, it's not filled with inventory crap. In fact, the stories, which team Kyle with various heroes from the DCU, are really pretty good. Plus I've been fortunate enough to wrangle the best podcasters on the internet to join me in covering this book. You'll hear such luminaries as Rob Kelly, Andrew Leyland, Stephen Lacey, W. Blaine Dowler, Paul Spataro, Dave Walker, J. David Weter, Micheal Leyland, Flava Flav, Steve and Edie, the magic of Doug Henning, former U.N. Secretary Boutros Boutros-Ghali, and Mummenschanz! So grab a refreshing beverage and get ready to be amazed at how much better all these people are at podcasting than your host. I guarantee you'll love every second, or double your purchase price back. So what are you waiting for?
Mai in Haiger.
U.a. … Weiterlesen
