If marketing is dating, change management is like a marriage that constantly needs some spice. In this conversation, Nellie speaks with Stacey Taylor, VP of Implementation and Change at Visa, about the glaringly obvious overlaps between marketing principles and successful organizational change. “Everyone says change is hard, but nobody says marketing is hard,” - despite both disciplines aiming to shift human behavior. Discover Stacey's ACT framework (Audience, Connect, Tune) that applies marketing mindsets to transformation challenges, learn why segmenting employees like customers leads to dramatically better results, and explore how "influencer marketing" tactics could drive adoption rates up by 70%. Festive Clay Snuffling Hello, and welcome to episode 361 of The Fantasticast. Each episode, Steve Lacey guides you through every issue, guest-appearance and cameo of The Fantastic Four. This week, the Fantasticast hits a new milestone - the first comic covered twice by the show. We looked at Marvel Two-in-One #74 almost an entire decade ago, and it's time to look at it in context of the run, and see if Steve has worked out just who the people at the party really are. Except that Steve isn't doing this along. Joining him for a thoroughly unseasonal Christmas bash is returning guest host Stacey Taylor. Host of Stacey's Pop Culture Parlor, Stace and Barry In The Morning, and new show Never Seen, Stace is back and delightful as ever. Together, they examine a unusual Christmas tale, as childlike wizards and bovine nannies meet the holiday spirit. Mark Gruenwald, Frank Springer, Chic Stone, George Roussos, Michael Higgins, Bob Budiansky, and Jim Salicrup present Marvel Two-in-One #74 - A Christmas Peril, featuring parole, a guy with a big face and a lack of talent, all of the swears, uncensored smut, and... hold on, that's the hosts! In addition, Steve takes a quick peak at Avengers #206, as he forgot to do it last time. Fantasticast guest-host Christine Hanefalk has published her first book. Being Matt Murdock: One Fan's Journey Into The Science of Daredevil is now available as both a book and an e-book from Amazon. Do go and check it out! Book One is finished it will be collected into one whole audio book and sold for a charity to be named later. And that reminds me to tell you you can download the last audio series a whole audio book here and all profits made from the downloads will go to Trans Lifeline for as long as the book is here on Podbean. Trans Lifeline works to end transgender suicide and improve overall mental health of transgender people through education, advocacy, and direct service. They empower trans people to help one another, and to shape collective efforts by drawing upon their wealth of individual experiences. Rick Shea is the owner of our local comic book store Famous Faces And Funnies and he agreed to sit down and talk to us about the current state of the comic industry, what is selling in his store, and what he thinks the future holds. FFF is really no bullshit the best comic store I've ever been in, and I always hit the local bookstores wherever we travel. The staff knows their stuff, are always friendly, and the place is just cool. Who else has a giant Bender painted on their wall? I ask you who else? During the talk we dive into whether comci book movies sell books, the mistakes Marvel have made, and many more subjects. No hype Rick is one of the hardest working people I've ever met so give it a listen and if you're near stop in and say Tin Pod Radio sent you :) You can find more about Famous Faces And Funnies on Twitter and other social media @FFFComics If you are local stop by 3020 W New Haven Avenue, West Melbourne, FL You can find Brian C. A new season of Tin Pod kicks off with an interview with the runners of Pro-Wrestling Eve, Emily Read and Dann Read. The two of them were nice enough to join us to chat for a bit about womens wrestling, their philosphy with Eve, how the promotion has touched lives, and what the future holds. "EVE is the ground-breaking feminist-punk-rock wrestling promotion, founded and operated by Emily and Dann Read who since 2006 have continually played a major part in the popularity and increased exposure of the female professional wrestling scene. Forget everything you thought you knew about this previously male-owned world and see what happens when a bipolar, home schooling mum of two combines her passions of feminism, punk, politics, mental health and pro-wrestling to create EVE, a night of death-defying, jaw dropping, action packed, wrestling stunts fueled with cabaret, comedy and so much more!" You can find all you need to know about Pro Wrestling Eve: http://www.evewrestling.com/ We recommend the Piledrive A Facist shirt. At the end of this month with Tin Pod #30 the audio stories of the Tin Universe returns with the first part of T.U.M. #1. Come back then to the writing of Brian C. Williams and the voice of the universe Stacey Taylor. One episode. Thank you to Joe Cunningham, Fraser Geesin, Michael Georgiou, Christine Hanefalk, Stephen Lacey, Andrew Leyland, Micheal Leyland, Al Kennedy, Ryan O'Sullivan, Seb Patrick, Stacey Taylor, Dan White and David Wynne for taking part! On this episode of Podcasting Smarter, I am joined by Stacey Taylor, a veteran podcaster from Birmingham, England who started podcasting back in 2007 when she worked at the world's most boring job. She is the host of Stacey's Pop Culture Parlour and Podcast On A Half Shell where she talks nerdy about comics, films, TV shows, books, video games, and of course the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. We have lots of fun nerding-out on podcasting. Stacey's Podcasting Smarter Tips: Don't be surprised when people care about what you have to say. When Stacey's first podcast came to an end, she thought that was the end of her podcasting until some listeners encouraged her to start another one. Podcasting helps you find other people who care about the same things you do. Podcasting has given her the confidence to reach out to her heroes and to really get to know them by inviting them on her podcast. Stacey enjoys a large social circle of people from all over the world that is a direct result of her podcast. Listen back to your episodes as a listener without worrying about the stresses of recording and editing. It's a great way to improve your podcasting skills. She prefers podcasts with more than one host, but only when they have a chemistry, and don't talk over top of each other. She wants to feel enthusiasm and passion from podcast hosts. Know your niche, and carve out your unique space within it. Stacy has grown her audience by being a guest on other podcasts and tapping into their listeners. Advice to new podcasters: Don't expect a bajillion downloads right away or you will set yourself up for failure. Pay attention to and serve your core audience. She empathises with her guest's need to feel comfortable. Days before recording, she asks if there is anything they need, or of they have any questions. She also makes sure to prep them thoroughly about the podcast topic and flow, so they can relax and have fun with her. Prep, prep and more prep for your interviews. Small audiences can reap massive rewards. A small, but enthusiastic audience can open doors, give you terrific engagement, and a very rewarding podcasting experience. Post-Apocalyptic Slapstick Hello, and welcome to episode 194 of The Fantasticast. Each week, Steve Lacey and Andy Leyland guide you through every issue, guest-appearance and cameo of The Fantastic Four. This week, we're returning to the fertile lands of Marvel Two-In-One. The Valkyrie needs an origin, Destiny needs a harmonica, and Doctor Strange is on call to provide some ghostly exposition. Richard Burton is dead, and the Thing's under crackers are just wrong. Don't ask, just accept. Making a welcome return to the show to help us through this issue is Stacey Taylor, of Stacey's Pop Culture Parlour. If you remember Stacey from her previous appearance on the show, you know what you're in for! And joining Stacey is a conicla-boobed bird on a Pegasus, some existential tooting, and a whole bunch of folks doing the Defenders Mash (it was a podcast smash). An Actual Ice-Cream Van Hello, and welcome to episode 189 of The Fantasticast. Each week, Steve Lacey and Andy Leyland guide you through every issue, guest-appearance and cameo of The Fantastic Four. This week, we bid a fond farewell to Gerry Conway with Fantastic Four #152, his last regular issue. Thundra and the team are lost in a nightmarish, hyper-masculine future. Rich Buckler's taking on too much work, and Reed Richards has the wrong number of appendages. As it turns out, not only is this Conway's final issue, but it's not even the conclusion to the story, and it's one of the most notorious rushed comics. We're also activating our childish-snigger circuits as we get to grips with Giant-Size Man-Thing #2, by Steve Gerber, John Buscema and Klaus Janson. As well as this, we're talking about San Diego Comic-Con, celebrating some new equipment, celebrating the release of something long-lost, and getting interrupted by an actual ice-cream van. It's a packed episode of The Fantasticast, so why are you reading this? Get listening! Find Amazing Spider-Man Classics at http://amazingspiderman.libsyn.org. A Wombful Of Wombats Hello, and welcome to episode 187 of The Fantasticast. Each week, Steve Lacey and Andy Leyland guide you through every issue, guest-appearance and cameo of The Fantastic Four. This week is another double-comic episode. We start with Avengers #128, which sees the Fantastic Four's now-redundant nanny Agatha Harkness head take up a new position as the Defence Against Dark Arts teacher for the Avengers. Following this, we peer into the pages of Fantastic Four #151, as Gerry Conway starts his final Fantastic Four story by revealing the origin of Thundra. This does, however, mean that we also get the first appearance of the walking manifestation of brutish masculinity, Mahkizmo. It's a battle of the sexes with the entire (possible) future of the Earth hanging in the balance. Can this issue carefully walk the line between comment and crassness? Find out in this week's episode! We are live on Stacey Taylor's 24 Hour Pop Culture Parlour Podcast at 10am BST, Saturday 9th July. Stacey from her eponymous pop culture parlour podcast is back for our second special guest episode for May. We've dialled down the smut this time around, and we're talking things nautical and anime. Don't forget that Stacey will be holding her 24-hour podcast marathon later in the summer and you can pledge your support at justgiving.com/spcplive2 in aid of the Alzheimer's Society. While we may have used the odd sweary word in the past, this is the first Wikishuffle episode where I feel the need to issue a specific warning for adult content. You see, this is what happens when we allow a West Midlander to breach the sacred divide that is the M6. She brings with her a whole host of smut, that we innocent and virginal East Midlanders are contractually obliged to then talk about. Stacey Taylor (from out of off of Stacey's Pop Culture Parlour podcast) has an endurance event she'd like to bring our attention to. And to welcome her to the studio, Chris has been getting creative. Coca coooola! Lipstick ring! Dance all night! Dance all night! This is the way you like it as PICK A FLICK! explores music-themed movies with host Dave Bond (loaned from Do You Expect Us to Talk?) plus guests Stacey Taylor (she of the Pop Culture Parlour) and debutante on the show, Lee Grice. Nominated by Zack Lockwood, the trio take a close look at FRANK, the Lenny Abrahamson critically appreciated take on the Frank Sidebottom phenomenon, before exploring FOUR ROOMS--nominated by Pop Culture Rewind--all agreeing it may be the film Quentin Tarantino would like to forget! They also take in audience feedback on their favourite music-themed movies along the way. Plug in the Korg synthesizer and join them! Ten episodes old and may the odds be ever in our favour! Brave tributes Emma Platt, our returning host, and her guests Chris Haigh and PICK A FLICK! debutante Stacey Taylor--skipping over from her own STACEY'S POP-CULTURE PARLOUR--face the challenges and dangers of two fresh nominations. First up, courtesy of 'Robbo' McGovern, is THE HUNGER GAMES - they agree on the bravery of Effie Trinket and how great Jennifer Lawrence's arse is... This leads nicely into an overall discussion of DYSTOPIAN MOVIES, along with some great suggestions from you, the listener, on Twitter & Facebook. Lastly, nominated by Skip to the End podcast, the trio are gifted 1980's 'classic' MAC AND ME to enjoy. Stacey recounts how it traumatised her, and Emma just plain unleashes the fury! Finally, it's Stacey's turn in QUESTION TIME, this week about her chosen movie - how will she fare on the leaderboard. Give it a listen and you may catch fire! Each week, Steve Lacey and Andy Leyland guide you through every issue, guest-appearance and cameo of The Fantastic Four. This week sees us dip our toes back into the murky waters of Marvel Team-Up, as the Human Torch once again teams up with Spider-Man, this time to take on the Living Vampire himself, Morbius. Joining us for this team-up is UK Podcast Award nominee Stacey Taylor, of Stacey's Pop Culture Parlour and Podcast In A Half-Shell. Together, we name Timothy Spall as the quintessential brummie, out-index the Marvel Index, indulge in some over-ACT-ing, encounter a muffled Spider-Man, get drunk on cheese, and ponder just what exactly an enzyme vampire actually is. Welcome to the latest installment of Stacey's Pop Culture Parlour, in which Stacey is joined by fellow podcaster and all-round fun guy; Matt Farr of Dissecting Worlds! As a warning to those who haven't yet seen The Dark Knight Rises (why the chuff not?!); this episode contains a good half hour of reviewing on this, with a few tangents thrown in for good measure, containing some mild and some pretty whopping spoilage. Listen at your own peril! On top of all the Batman fun, Stacey and Matt have a good old chinwag about other nerd-tastic films, such as The Hunger Games, the Avengers and X-Men First Class, as well as a bunch of comics and TV chat too! Expect ruminations on Fables, Atomic Robo, Once Upon A Time, Doctor Who, Punk Rock Jesus and much more! PLEASE NOTE: There's a fair bit of spider talk, and Stacey takes no responsibility for potentially blowing out your eardrums when attacked by an evil arachnid during recording... Enjoy!
