Legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin takes Larry inside his new book, "True Crimes and Misdemeanors," which examines the flaws in Robert Mueller's Russia probe and how Donald Trump ultimately triumphed.
Fresh off his "You might think it's okay... I don't." rebuke, House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff joins Stephanie Miller to discuss Mueller's Russia counterintelligence investigation, not trusting Trump's White House, Barr's letter, next steps and not giving up on democracy.
ok - let's get our act together, America! We have a "sterling" public official, Robert Mueller, just complete an "epic" probe on the Trump 2016 campaign and it's "brushes" with Russia - who definitively wanted Trump to beat Hillary Clinton! It appears that Mueller's Russia probe will be something in the neighborhood of 700-pages - when you include all of the exhibits. If there are any "redactions" needed, one would think Robert Mueller, being a former FBI Dir., would've been cognizant of that fact through every step of his probe & the compilation of the report itself. Therefore, if there are to be any redactions, by William Barr, the current Attorney General of the U.S., they should be few & far between. That being said, the only real "road-block" is how fast can Barr + Co. "review" 700-pages worth of "stuff". It seems it only took him 48-hours to review the "narrative" portion to issue a 4-page summary. That was 6-days ago! It would appear that Barr & his crew are "slow-walking" this thing! I'll go way out on a limb and say this whole thing - orchestrated by Trump - is total noncompliance! The democrats need to reccognize this and abruptly quit acting "politely"! Subpoenas should be flying off the shelves. To anybody & everybody with a pulse. Even this ploy will most likely produce recalcitrance, intransigence & more noncompliance. So, where are we really? The 2020 campaign just kicked off, in earnest. Yes, it's only March 31, 2019! But Trump is bringing this on himself! Let's get started! One way or another, dribs & drabs of Mueller's report will start percolating out and the Democratic presidential candidates should just include that "info" in their campaign s
In this bonus podcast episode, listen to MSNBC Chief Legal Correspondent, Ari Melber's reporting an analysis from the week Mueller's Russia probe came to an end and Trump's Attorney General Bill Barr released his summary of the report. Former Attorney General Eric Holder tells Melber he believes Barr has handled the report in the "wrong" way. Plus, in an interview on the first working day after Barr's summary was released, Melber interview's President Trump's personal lawyer and presses him on what "no exoneration" means.

When you see a 90-foot wall of water coming straight at you on the beach, you best get "right with jesus" and get your affairs in order summarily! Donald J. Trump is standing on a "shifting" landscape --- the kind of landscape that precedes an 8.0 earthquake. Apparently, he is not picking up on the obvious "cues" that abound that reveal all too-clearly the total tenuousness of his entire presidential administration. Over 30 indictments thus far. That includes 12 Russian military intelligence personnel. His campaign manager, Paul Manafort is immersed in the 1st of 2 trials he faces this summer! It seems that Mr. Manafort - wundho made tens-of-millions of dollars from the Russian-aligned former Ukranian president, Viktor Yunukovych - forgot to tell his accounts that his income was derived from "overseas" - an oversight that is a serious federal crime. So, things are not going particularly well for Mr. Manafort --- convictions are likely in both. Trump's former personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, has all but flipped and will cooperate with Mueller's Russia probe. The FBI has well over 100 tape recordings of him and Trump. Stomy Daniels' lawyer, Michael Avenatti, now has 3 more women as his clients. And on top of all of this --- Mueller's team has subpoenaed Trump Organizations chief financial officer --- Allen Weisselberg --- who just happens to have prepared all of Trump's tax returns and who also knows where every dollar coming in has come from and where every dollar going out is going to! It goes without saying that much of Trump's income came from Russians and Ukranians & Kazahkstanians.
