In May, Merrick Garland wrote an 'Election Year Sensitivities' imemo advising DOJ not to open any investigation against any presidential candidate. He said he was following a policy by William Barr. What does this tell us about Garland, and what does it mean given the likelihood that Trump will run for president. The revelations about the destruction of January 6th text messages and the apparent cover up by the Secret Service and its director James Murray also give us concern about whether the Secret Service was and are more loyal to Trump than the country. This week we take on shady internal affairs (the enormous number of people in the Trump crime cult circle who died violent or mysterious deaths) and burning external affairs (the horrors of climate change and Joe Manchin's role in destroying the planet). But before we get to that, we examine yet more confirmation of what we already knew – that Merrick Garland is a mafia state enabler. We discuss the leaked DOJ memo that Rachel Maddow discussed on her show Monday night, Bill Barr's influence over the DOJ, and shadow mentor Jamie Gorelick, who is still molding both Garland and the January 6 committee.

Geoff Shepard, the leading expert on the issue of Watergate and Nixon's resignation, again met with The Two Mikes to speak about several of the commonalities that exist between Watergate and the Democrats' January 6th show trials. Our discussion was long and detailed, and below you will find several of the startling similarities that Mr. Shepard has found.--The so-called Watergate issue was largely the project of Kennedy loyalists who remained in the federal bureaucracy; these individuals wanted two things (a) to prevent Nixon from loosening the Democrats' iron grip on U.S. government institutions -- executive, legislative, and judiciary -- that it had held since 1932, and (b) to prepare a groundwork that would be helpful in the party's effort to elicit Ted Kennedy president in 1976. This is much the same game plan that the Democrats have long been using against Donald Trump, who like Nixon, the Democrats see as a dangerous disrupter.--The Special prosecutors appointed to conduct the Watergate trials withheld "exculpatory evidence" from attorneys for the defense, much as being seen today as the J-6 Committee withholds exculpatory materials from public view. --The Watergate prosecutors surreptitiously met with the judges handling the Watergate trials and agreed that certain evidentiary material had to remain hidden. Again, just as the Democrats are doing regarding the J-6 affair.--There was no due process by fair trial for those indicted over the Watergate, and this too is now being repeated with the unconstitutional and abusive internment of people attending the January 6th America First rally in DC.--The Democrats, during Watergate, utterly owned the DC judiciary. No one indicted over Watergate was found not guilty in the DC court; almost all of those tried in courts outside DC were found not guilty. This is exactly the same situation that has been encountered by such Trump supporters as Roger Stone and General Fynn. Also recall that the Democrat lawyer Sussman was found not guilty and set free despite what many commentators said was an airtight case presented by Durham. Finally, Mr. Shepard said that Trump was advised by Bill Barr that he had to move against the perpetrators of the 2020 election fraud in the first three weeks after the election or it would be too late.Mr. Shepard's website is https://www.shepardonwatergate.com  --Mr. Shepard's books about Watergate are: The Secret Plot to Make Ted Kennedy: Inside the Real Watergate Conspiracy, (2008); The Real Watergate Scandal: Collusion, Conspiracy, and the Plot to Bring Nixon Down, (2015); and The Nixon Conspiracy: Watergate and the Plot to Remove the President, (2021)Please go on the www.Twomikes.com Contact page to send your 3rd anniversary shout out“Listening to Two Mikes will make you smarter!”- Gov Robert L. The January 6 House Select Committee's fourth hearing focused on how former President Trump tried to intimidate state officials to change the 2020 election results in Georgia and Arizona. Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger testified that he “had to be faithful to the Constitution” and that “there were no votes to find” like Trump wanted. Georgia Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan joins AC360 to discuss what stood out to him from today's testimony. Plus, The New York Times is reporting that the former President's daughter, Ivanka Trump, told a documentary film crew in December 2020 that her father should “continue to fight until every legal remedy is exhausted” because people were questioning “the sanctity of our elections.” This contradicts what she told the committee, in the portion of her deposition that has been made public so far, when she said she “accepted” what Attorney General Bill Barr said about there being no voter fraud. New York Times Washington Correspondent Maggie Haberman tells AC360 the committee is expected to interview the filmmaker this week and it's “unclear” what else is on their tapes that were turned over to the panel. The stock market has tanked and the Federal Reserve is raising interest rates again because they miscalculated and subsidized massive deficit spending. The Democrats, without a single Republican vote, passed the largest deficit-spending bill in American history. Before that, 19 Republicans voted with the Democrats for an infrastructure bill that spent trillions more. This is why we have inflation. The country is now economically dislocated, and the Democrats' goal is to limit your choices like only getting gas on certain days, and controlling and lowering your electricity consumption. Biden, the Democrats, and the American Marxists are systemically dismantling the greatest economic engine this world has ever seen. The January 6 committee is a disgusting effort to criminalize a sitting president's right to challenge the results of an election until the electoral college votes are certified. The media suggests that former Attorney General Bill Barr will be the star witness in a criminal trial against former President Donald Trump. The Democrat Party doesn't fit into our system as a constitutional republic, it's an alien force in this country. Politicians and bureaucrats are seizing power and using the government's power to take control of private companies in the name of the Defense Production Act. On Thursday's Mark Levin Show, Democrats should be paying for this one-sided January 6 propaganda and journalists should question whether or how they even cover something as propagandistic as this so-called hearing. They've created a fall guy in John Eastman a law professor that advocated for Trump. The Committee has cherry-picked testimony, depositions, and even interpretations of the law. They've failed to mention how Democrats have contested the counting of electoral votes in every Republican victory for the past two decades claiming the election was stolen as far back as 2001 when 31 congressional Democrats voted to challenge Ohio's electoral votes. The most recent example of their omissions is when Hillary Clinton objected to the 2016 election blaming voting machines and Russian interference. Let's not forget the riots and bombs found when Trump was inaugurated in 2017. They criticize Trump for waiting an hour to put out a video condemning the January 6 violence yet, to date Pelosi, Schumer, Biden, and the Democrats have still not put out any videos condemning the violence against Trump. Then, the January 6th Committee is using fissures in the relationship between Trump and Pence to exploit one against the other and former Attorney General Barr is dancing right into their trap. Pence's aide Marc Short is being used and this will have political blowback if Pence ever decided to run for President. All of this un-vetted, unchallenged, one-sided manipulation from the committee and the media happily reports on it as if it were fact. Later, Congressman Lee Zeldin calls in to share how challenging life in New York is because of the Democrat's single-party control and policies. Zeldin added that violence is also on the rise and combines with rising costs of living makes New York less and less livable and he intends to change that. Afterward, Democrats push against school choice and charter schools. Pelosi attended private school and sent her son to a private school, yet she also opposes private school choice and scholarships for low-income children.        TAGS: june 16, january 6, jan 6, john eastman, eastman, j michael luttig, luttig, lee zeldin, zeldin, pennsylvania, mike pence, pence, state legislatures, janes revenge, donald trump, trump, Economy, inflation, stock market, stocks, farm, food, farmer, new york, ny, school, school choice, private school, public school, liz cheney, cheney, I pencil, pencil Learn more about your ad choices. On Tuesday's Mark Levin show, the January 6 committee is a disgusting effort to criminalize a sitting president's right to challenge the results of an election until the electoral college votes are certified. The media suggests that former Attorney General Bill Barr will be the star witness in a criminal trial against former President Donald Trump. Incidentally, former US Attorney Bill McSwain for Pennsylvania penned a letter to Trump in June of 2021 stating that he'd received multiple allegations of election fraud but was advised by his then-boss Attorney General William Barr to make no public statements about them. Despite the facts of this letter, Barr maintains that he was not aware of any widespread fraud. Then, James Adams was smeared as an atheist among other things and had a challenging relationship with Thomas Jefferson. In his election, Adams only won by three votes and his Vice President was Thomas Jefferson the next highest vote-getter even though he was from a different party. Most voters from the north voted for Adams and most from the south voted for Jefferson. In this election, the state legislatures choose their electors to decide the presidency. This is the key point; the power to choose electors comes from the state legislatures and in American History was considered more relevant than the individual voters because of the adherence to the Constitution's electoral college. In 2020 the State of Pennsylvania changed the laws for choosing electors which violates the constitution. Later, when Hillary Clinton lost in 2016 and alleged on multiple occasions that the election was stolen from her there was no call for a special committee. When members of Congress said the Trump victory was illegitimate and that the electoral college shouldn't be observed, no one even batted an eyelid at their rhetoric. But heaven forbid Trump make a similar statement, then it's time to indict him. Afterward, Fox News Host Pete Hegseth joins the show to discuss his new book "Battle for the American Mind: Uprooting a Century of Miseducation."  https://www.amazon.com/Battle-American-Mind-Uprooting-Miseducation/dp/0063215047/ref=sr_1_1?crid=2REZIE9WBPGI5&keywords=pete+hegseth&qid=1655156670&sprefix=pete+hegseth%2Caps%2C65&sr=8-1 Hegseth noted how, historically, the holy scriptures were used as the basis for education until public sector unions co-opted the education system. Hegseth pointed out that Marxist John Dewey was a driving force behind the teachers union takeover. A practice that remains today and ensures that unions will pay millions to continue control of politicians and classrooms.  Learn more about your ad choices. While the January 6th committee hearings are in full swing, Dinesh D'Souza's documentary '2000 mules' has been mentioned at least twice. This is interesting because fact-checkers quickly claimed it wasn't possible to collect GPS location data with such accuracy. Yet, that same GPS location technology was what the government used to round up the so-called insurrectionists inside the capitol building. Coming up on today's broadcast, Lance discussed Dinesh challenging Bill Barr to a debate, Elon Musk and the nonsense happening at Twitter, plus the bonus clown show that is Michael Avenatti looking to take a plea deal. The House select committee investigating the January 6 attack on the Capitol held its second public hearing and focused on former President Trump's false 2020 election fraud claims. The committee played portions of video deposition from former Attorney General William Barr where he described the former President's claims as “bogus” and said “he's become detached from reality.” Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff is a member of the committee and tells Anderson Cooper it's important for the American people to hear testimony like Barr's so they know Trump wasn't “mistaken” or “merely just misled.” Plus, a bipartisan group of senators announced they've reached an agreement on gun safety that they say includes “needed mental health resources, improves school safety and support for students and helps ensure dangerous criminals and those who are adjudicated as mentally ill can't purchase weapons.” Connecticut Sen. Chris Murphy has been leading the negotiations for the Democrats. He joins AC360 to discuss when he thinks the Senate will vote on the bill. Sam and Emma host Mark Joseph Stern, staff writer at Slate, to preview the incoming SCOTUS opinions of the week. First, Sam and Emma preview primary Tuesday, the ever-mounting success of Starbucks unions, and remind us that much like Liz Cheney, Bill Barr is NOT our friend. Then, they're joined by Mark as they dive into this “storm before the even bigger storm” moment in the Supreme Court, first covering why the Supreme Court's summer decision dumps all come down to the end of June so they can get out on vacation, and speculating on the order of the drops when there are so many massive decisions currently pending. Next, they get into the actual issues at hand, looking to the many layers of Dobbs v Jackson, including the continued obscurity around the leak and leaker's identity, what small “cleanups” we'll see in comparison to Alito's leaked draft, and the futures of Griswald and Sodomy laws. They also dive into Andrus v Texas, looking at how the Supreme Court allowed lower-level courts to overturn the Sixth Amendment guarantee to effective assistance of counsel, practically removing habeas review and other judicial practices while still keeping their institutional image intact, and explore this deferral of the Court as an affirmation to the lower courts' that they will allow the overturning of their own precedent if it aligns with their conservative ideology. Sam then gets right into the administrative state as he, Emma, and Mark Joseph Stern look to West Virginia v EPA, discussing the role of Brett Kavanaugh's baby, the major questions doctrine, in bolstering the Court's ability to undermine the delegatory capacities of Congress and the executive branch by requiring explicit and specific congressional guidelines. After a conversation on the “activist” nature of this conservative court, they wrap up the interview by discussing the future of concealed carry with New York State Rifle & Pistol Association Inc. v. Bruen, and the use of coercive religious practices in public schools with Kennedy v. Bremerton. And in the Fun Half: Sam and Emma cover the updates on yesterday's 1/6 hearing, exploring the accusation of Trump's campaign lawyer as “an agent of the deep state” for rejecting the validity of the Dominion fraud, McClain from Iowa, Bradley's Dad from LA, AND Peter from St. Paul all dive deep into handling conversations with conservative parents and the importance of finding commonalities, as the right becomes more and more the Republican Party of (some of our) fathers. Brock from Wichita talks gun control, and Fox News displays their militant support for trans people by… telling the story of a conservative family's acceptance of their son, which of course makes Matt Walsh angry when there's an excellent documentary talking about women's bodies right there! Nancy Pelosi's January 6th Committee is conducting such a trial in their prime-time hearing. America has never seen such a committee where there is no representation from the minority, but for the never-Trumpers hand-picked by Pelosi. Pelosi is criminalizing political disagreements. The committee has nine former federal prosecutors and U.S attorneys focused on painting Trump as a seditious criminal, while Trump isn't allowed any representation and the witnesses can't call even respond by calling their own witnesses or cross-examinations. It's simply political theater, but instead of state-run media, it's our own complicit press that will broadcast this sham. If and when Republicans gain control, they must investigate this committee and determine who can be legally held accountable. Al Gore challenged in 2000. The Florida legislature was set to intervene with a special session and name a slate of presidential electors, however, then-Chief Justice William Rehnquist took the case and didn't sit on his hands as Chief Justice Roberts did in 2020. The Republican legislatures in the battleground states that were in question had every right to name their electors if they felt that their authority under Article II of the Constitution was seized. Then, news reports indicate that a former employee of Media Matters for America, Timothy Johnson, tweeted that higher-ups knew that their colleague Ben Dimiero was a sexual predator who went after other employees. This program has invited Media Matters to respond to these allegations on the air. With thousands of witnesses interviewed by the January 6th committee, they didn't reveal much of anything. Ivanka Trump's testimony wasn't unusual given that she's left the White House at the time and wasn't plugged into campaign operations. No one questioned what information Bill Barr had seen, especially since most election issues are handled at the state level, not the federal level. A court of law would never allow a one-sided process like this committee. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

On Friday's Mark Levin Show, with thousands of witnesses interviewed by the January 6th committee, they didn't reveal much of anything. Then, it's not easy to be misrepresented by some unhinged critic or political foe. A new poll from Southern Poverty Law Center shows that half of young Democrats are okay with the assassination of political foes. Yet no one says anything about President Biden, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, and the rest of the Democrats spewing their violent rhetoric. Later, Author Julie Kelly calls in to explain that Pelosi's Jan. 6th Committee has one goal, and it's to drive a stake through the heart of the MAGA movement. Kelly mentioned the story of Matthew Perna, a Jan 6 detainee that committed suicide after the Feds kept piling charges on him for being at the Capitol. Seditious conspiracy is the latest charge the government is pursuing against 100 detainees. Afterward, Congressman Mo Brooks calls in with an update on his campaign against a Mitch McConnell lobbyist running for the U.S Senate against him in Alabama. Brooks reiterated that America needs a Trump's conservative to win this race. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

Then, Emma is joined by the DSA's Stylianos Karolidis and Sumathy Kumar to discuss their For the Many candidate slate in New York City. First, Emma dives deep into yesterday's debut of the primetime 1/6 hearings, appreciating the committee's breadth of day-one topics, from Trump's 7-point plan to overturn the election, the complete disconnect between him and any federal defense agencies, and the impact of his “stand back and stand by” tweet, to the role of Bill Barr and the barebones, yet horrifying, unseen footage of the coup attempt. Next, she's joined by Left Reckoning's David Griscom as they dive into the Texas-centric news of the week, starting off with the more hopeful news of an Austin Starbucks' successful unionization vote, before diving into a conversation on policing that begins with a contrast between Capitol Police's treatment of BLM protesters and 1/6 Coup attempters, and shifting to the continued lies and cowardice of the Uvalde police as an example of the extreme disinvestment from public good that the neoliberal era has created. Next, David and Emma tackle the crisis of Texas' power grid, as Ted Cruz blames rising prices on the (nonexistent) Texas Green New Deal, rather than their hyper-privatized power grid which serves profit overall, including a recent approval of price-fixing for Bitcoin mining while the rest of the state is encouraged to minimize electricity consumption in +100ºF Weather. Griscom wraps up the interview by diving into HIS story of Texas, as he dissects and rejects this recent move by the far-right to paint a picture of a Straight, White, conservative, Christian Texas that's being invaded by Trans folks and immigrants, and walks through the challenges to Abbott's recent bill to investigate the parents of gender-affirmed trans kids. Then, Emma is joined by Stylianos Karolidis and Sumathy Kumar as they walk through the broader and more specific strategic goals of NYC-DSA's “For the Many” slate of 13 candidates across the City and up into the Hudson Valley, from pushing climate-centric discourse and working to reinvent NY housing policy to changing the culture of NY State Politics as a whole. And in the Fun Half: Anthony from NY calls in to reminisce on the beauty of Michael Brooks, Emma covers Ivanka coming out against her father's Big Lie, and parses through the myriad paths of culpability around 1/6, with a particular focus on the GOP enablers of the “Big Lie” conspiracy and the belief in insurrectionists that Donald Trump had asked this, and nothing else, of them.
