İngiltere ve ABD, İsrail'i İslam coğrafyasının merkezinde kolonyal bir vekil yapı olarak kurdu. Başta Almanya olmak üzere birçok Avrupa devleti tarafından bu yeni kolonyal yapı daimi olarak desteklendi. İsrail'e atfedilen birçok özellik de bu ilişkinin içinden doğdu.

Ortadoğu'da yaşananlar yavaş yavaş Türkiye-İsrâil askerî hesaplaşması ihtimâlini tırmandıran bir boyut kazanmaya başladı. Taraflardan gelen açıklamalar, böyle bir senaryonun her zaman olduğundan daha muhtemel hâle geldiğine işâret ediyor. Doğrusu ben bu ihtimâlin başta ABD olmak üzere, bu coğrafyaya müdâhil güçler tarafından aslâ arzu edilemeyeceğini düşünürdüm. Öyle ya; farklı bağlarla da olsa Batı'ya bağlı bu iki devletin savaşması en başta Batı için hiçbir şart altında kabûl edilebilir bir senaryo olmadığını düşünmek için çok sayıda sebep olmalıdır. Lâkin yaşananlar bunun tersini akla getiriyor.

ABD'de İsrail'e sınırsız ve koşulsuz destek konusunda “Trumpçı kamp”ta da yaşanan bölünme derinleşiyor. ABD Kongresi'ndeki vekillerden Marjorie Taylor Greene, Thomas Massie, eski vekillerden Matt Gaetz ve eski Fox News sunucusu Tucker Carlson başta gelmek üzere birçok Cumhuriyetçi, Trump Yönetimi'nin İsrail'in peşinden sürüklenmesini çok sert şekilde eleştiriyorlar. Bu isimler “İsrail lobisi”nin önde gelen kuruluşu “Amerikan-İsrail Halkla İlişkiler Komitesi”nin(AIPAC) ABD Kongresi üzerindeki nüfuzundan da şikayetçiler.

ABD'nin Hindistan'dan ithal edilen ürünlere %50'lik gümrük tarifesi yürürlüğe girdi. Tutuklu Beyoğlu Belediye Başkanı İnan Güney'in odasında bulunan ve içinde önceki dönem harcamalarının da bulunduğu dosya hakkında soruşturma başlatıldı. Bu bölüm BMW hakkında reklam içermektedir. ABD'nin Ankara Büyükelçisi ve dahi Suriye Özel Temsilcisi Tombalak, sonunda ağzındaki baklayı çıkardı. Suriye'yi ne şekilde böleceklerini görülmemiş bir nezaketle izah etti. Federasyon gibi bir formülmüş düşündükleri.

Avrupalı ve İslam coğrafyasındaki devletler halen İsrail'i kınama seviyesinden bir adım ileri gitmezken küresel şirketler çocukları hedef seçerek katleden İsrail'e karşı eyleme geçti. Dünyanın en büyük varlık fonu olan Norveç Varlık Fonu, ABD merkezli inşaat ekipmanları üreticisi Caterpillar ile İsrail'in önde gelen beş bankasından etik gerekçelerle yatırımını çekti.

Matruşka gibi. ABD, açıyorsunuz İsrail, açıyorsunuz, SDG/YPG/PKK… Şunu anlatamıyoruz; hepsini hırpalamanıza veya birine omuz atarken göz ucuyla diğerine bakmanıza gerek yok. Herhangi birinin kulağını büktüğünüzde, “iç içe” oldukları için hepsinin canı yanacak…

ABD-İsraili'nin Gazze'de yaptığı soykırım, Birleşmiş Milletler'in ve onun Uluslararası Adalet Divanı vb. organlarının, sömürülenlere değil, sömür(g)enlere; müstaz‘aflara değil müstekbirlere; mağluplara değil galiplere, mülk sahiplerine değil, o mülkün işgalcilerine … hizmet maksadıyla kurulduğuna dair zaten baştan beri var olan tartışmaları ve bu minvaldeki entelektüel sorgulamaları hareketlendirdi.

Kolombiya Cumhurbaşkanı Gustavo Petro, ABD'nin Venezuela'ya savaş gemisi ve asker sevki kararını  “çılgınlık” olarak nitelendirdi. Bölge ülkelerinin bu hamleye nasıl karşılık verdiğini, Kolombiya'daki Anadolu Ajansı muhabiri Sinan Doğan ile konuştuk.

Bu çabalar sonucunda ortaya çıkan Aldrich Planı, daha sonra Federal Rezerv Yasası'na dönüştü; her iki plan, isimleri dışında hükümler açısından neredeyse aynıydı.Paul Warburg ve Albay Edward Mandell House gibi kilit figürlerin, bu yasanın geçmesinde oynadıkları rolleri derinlemesine inceliyoruz. ABD'nin Ohio eyaletinde kurulan “HEAL Palestine”, Filistinli çocuklara acil yardım ve tıbbî bakım sağlayan sivil bir kuruluş. İsrail'in Amerikan bombalarıyla Gazze'de gerçekleştirdiği soykırımda uzuvlarını kaybeden ve hayati tehlike yaşayan Filistinli çocukların ABD'de tedavi görmeleri için çalışan “HEAL Palestine” İsrail yanlısı çevrelerin hedef tahtası haline geldi.

İkinci Dünya Savaşı'ndan sonra kurulan düzen çöktü. Uluslararası kurumlar iflas etti. Bir kutbunda ABD, bir kutbunda Sovyetler Birliği olan iki kutuplu dünya düzeninin bir de karanlık boyutu vardı.

Batılı devletlerin, Gazze'de ABD-İsraili'nce yapılan soykırıma Batı zihniyetini oluşturan pagan ve Yahudi-Hıristiyan İlahiyatı nedeniyle karşı çıkamadıklarını, soykırımın Gazze toplumunu açlıkla yok etmeye evrilmesinden sonra ise uluslararası Yahudi sermayesinden nemalanmak maksadıyla Filistin'i devlet olarak tanıma vb. şeklinde cılız da olsa kimi siyasi çıkışlarda bulunmalarının medyatik bir gösteriden ibaret olduğunu çeşitli vesilelerle söylemiştik.

Dışişleri Bakanı Hakan Fidan'ın YPG ile ilgili açıklamalarını, YPG'nin Suriye ordusuna entegrasyonun tıkanma sürecini ve Süveyda'daki gelişmeleri, SETA Dış politika araştırmacısı Kutluhan Görücü ile konuştuk. 

ABD'nin meşhur Cumhuriyetçi senatörü Nancy Graham geçtiğimiz günlerde bir konuşmasında İsrail'e yönelik soykırım suçlamalarına ilginç bir mantıkla itiraz etti. Ona göre şayet gerçekten soykırım yapmak istese İsrail'in bunu yapacak teknolojik silah gücü ve kapasitesi bulunuyor. Bunu bir defada yapmadığına göre niyeti de eylemi de soykırım yapmak değil.

Görüntü şu değil mi?.. Bir, ABD ile Rusya arasında bir kare var.. Bir de, ABD ile Avrupa arasında bir kare var… Evvelsi gün Batı'nın içindeki kareyi gayet net gördük; Beyaz Saray'da hepsi kuzu gibi sıraya girdiler ve sızlana sızlana patron ne dediyse alkışladılar… Hatta biri ağzından kaçırdı; “Ukrayna barışı adına üç yılda yapılamayanlar iki haftada yapıldı”…

Önceki yazımda İsrail'in ABD'nin desteğiyle Gazze'de yürüttüğü soykırıma karşı net bir tavır almanın halihazırdaki Demokrat Parti için bir siyasi turnusol testi olduğunu belirtmiştim. Genç demokratların “Amerikan- İsrail Halkla İlişkiler Komitesi (AIPAC)” kaynaklı seçim bağışlarının reddedilmesi için girişimler başlattıklarına da değinmiştim. Keza bazı vekillerin 2026'daki ön seçimlerde “AIPAC parası” almayacaklarını ilân ettiklerine dikkat çekmiş idim.

ABD Başkanı Trump'ın hem Rusya hem de Ukrayna ve Avrupa devletlerinin liderleriyle yaptığı görüşmeler, savaşın sona ereceğine dair umutları arttırdı mı? Milli Savunma Üniversitesi Öğretim Üyesi Prof. Dr. Mehmet Özkan ile konuştuk.

ABD Ukrayna'ya hiçbir zaman oyun değiştirici bir destek sunmadı. Savaşın başladığı günlerde, dönemin ABD Başkanı Biden'ın ilk açıklamasını hatırlayın. Biden, (sadece) “NATO üyelerine bir saldırı olursa püskürteceğiz” demişti. ABD, Ukrayna'yı savunmayacak ancak Rus işgalini zorlaştıracaktı. Ukrayna, Moskova'nın yıpratıldığı bir arenaya dönüşecekti. Bu yüzden Ukrayna'ya verdikleri destek hep şartlı oldu. Füze verdiler ama menzilini kıstılar. Savaş uçağı taleplerini iki yıl boyunca karşılamadılar.

Don't Give Up: Hope in Bleak TimesBismillah.The past few weeks have been incredibly difficult for the Ummah — especially for our brothers and sisters in Gaza.And it's not just these few weeks. It's been 23 months. Almost two years of relentless destruction. Every time we think we've seen the worst, we're proven wrong. Every time we think we've hit rock bottom, Israel and the powers that support her prove that evil has no limit.We are now witnessing full-blown famine. Starvation. Infants with nothing between their skin and bones. And on top of that — we hear of America burning 500 tonnes of food rather than allowing it to reach Palestine.At times like this, it's tempting to throw in the towel. To say:“We've done everything we can.”“We've shouted, we've protested, we've boycotted, we've flooded social media.”And yet, the powers that be… remain.But when that sense of despair starts creeping in, we must pause. We must take a step back and remember:We are looking through the lens of our short lives.We live 60, 70 years — maybe 50 as adults — and from that narrow perspective, it feels like there's no hope. But history tells a different story. When we zoom out, we see a sunnah of Allah unfold:Evil never wins in the end.No matter how powerful. Fir'aun claimed he was God Most High — Allah destroyed him. Yet many lived and died under his tyranny and may have thought:“Where is Allah's help?”“Where is our du‘a?”Allah addresses this feeling directly in the Qur'an — in the verse I opened with. He speaks of previous nations, believers who were so shaken by hardship that even their Prophets asked, “When will the help of Allah come?”And Allah replies:“Indeed, the help of Allah is near.”But near from whose perspective? Not always ours.That's why in Surah Ibrahim, Allah reminds us:“Do not think that Allah is unaware of the actions of the oppressors. He is merely delaying them for a Day when eyes will stare in horror.”We are people of hope. We do not despair when times get tough. And in this brief khutbah, I want to share three points in history to remind us: we carry the torch of hope.1. The Trench in the Cold of MedinaYear 5 after Hijrah.The Battle of the Trench.After the losses at Uhud, Quraysh saw an opportunity to wipe out Islam. They gathered the largest army Arabia had ever seen: 10,000 strong. They were backed by Banu Ghatafan from the north, and allied with Jews from Khaybar, including Banu Qurayzah from within Medina.Rasulullah ﷺ had only 3,000 companions to defend the city. It was winter. The Sahaba were hungry, cold, and exhausted. Salman al-Farisi suggested digging a trench — a Persian military tactic. And they did. Day and night. Starving, shivering, digging non-stop.Then they hit a boulder they couldn't break. They called the Prophet ﷺ. He struck it once — a spark flew.“Allahu Akbar!” he cried.A second strike — another spark.“Allahu Akbar!”Third strike — the boulder shattered.“Allahu Akbar!”The companions asked: What was the takbir about?Rasulullah ﷺ said:* With the first spark, I saw Persia falling to the Muslims.* With the second, Rome.* With the third, Yemen.In the darkest moment, he gave them light. He gave them vision.He didn't just say “Have hope.”He gave them reasons to hope.And history proved him right. Islam triumphed. Not through numbers, but through divine help — a storm that forced the enemy to retreat. A month-long siege broken without a single full-scale battle.2. The Fall of Baghdad (1258 CE)Hulagu Khan — grandson of Genghis Khan — invaded Baghdad.Within days, 800,000 were slaughtered.Libraries burned. Books tossed into the Tigris until the river ran black with ink.Muslim writers thought it was the end of time.Non-Muslim historians wrote:“This is the day Islam died.”But Islam didn't die.Baghdad fell, but Cairo rose. So did Damascus. The Delhi Sultanate grew. And from these ashes, the Ottomans would eventually rise.Even Hulagu's cousin, Berke Khan, accepted Islam.Within a generation, the very dynasty that destroyed Baghdad became a Muslim dynasty.And amidst all of this — scholars kept working.* Imam al-Nawawi, who focused on preserving and teaching knowledge.* Ibn Taymiyyah, the scholar-warrior.* Ibn Ata'illah, who focused on tazkiyah and purifying hearts.* Al-‘Izz ibn ‘Abd al-Salam, who spoke truth to power and engaged with the rulers .Despite the devastation, they didn't stop. They carried on.3. The Fall of Apartheid (1994)From 1948 — the same year Israel was created — South Africa began enforcing apartheid. For decades, the people resisted: boycotts, protests, global pressure.In 1994, apartheid fell.The same Nelson Mandela who was once branded a terrorist by the West was now hailed as a hero — by the very same powers that had supported the apartheid regime.Let that sink in.The same powers that supported apartheid in South Africa are the ones supporting apartheid in Palestine today.And just like before — they can be defeated.Social Media: Double-Edged SwordToday, we have a powerful tool: social media. It's helped shift global opinion. It's brought awareness.But it's also draining us.We doomscroll.We see starvation, death, suffering — again and again.Two things happen:* We either fall into despair…* Or we become numb.We start thinking this is normal.So yes — use social media, but set a limit. 15 minutes. Half an hour. Post, share, amplify — and then get back to work. Real work.Know Your Role, Play Your PartNot all resistance looks the same.Imam al-Nawawi didn't fight with swords. He wrote books that still strengthen the Ummah today.Ibn Taymiyyah led at the frontlines.Ibn Ata'illah focused on hearts.Al-‘Izz ibn ‘Abd al-Salam engaged with the rulers.Some of us are better behind the scenes. Some are activists, some are scholars, some are thinkers, some are organisers. Some are better on the mic, others behind a pen.Don't judge someone's contribution just because it's not the same as yours. We need all hands on deck.“Allah will not ask you about what you couldn't do — but He will ask what you did with what you could.”May Allah give victory to the oppressed.May He feed the hungry, clothe the exposed, and strengthen the weak.May He unite our ranks and guide our efforts.May He grant us clarity, discipline, and sincere hearts in service of this Ummah. The ABD [All But Dissertation] phase can either feel liberating—no more coursework or comps!—or like the floor has dropped out. The scaffolding that prepared you for being a graduate assistant, passing comps or conducting your research gives way to a new, wide open space where you are just supposed to write. While some people will flourish in this unstructured writing space, others are left playing detective—how do you know when to approach advisors for feedback? How many times can you ask them to read something—and how far in advance should you ask? How long is the finished dissertation supposed to be? The writing and revisions phase can become a path paved with uncertainty—and an unhealthy desire to overperform. If a good dissertation is just a done dissertation, what can students who can't find [or afford] a dissertation coach do? In this episode, Dr. Ramon Goings joins Dr. Christina Gessler to share practical strategies they each use when coaching students from ABD to PhD. These actionable tips can help whether you want to create a dissertation-writing support group, seek a writing partner, or go it alone. Dating, Part 2 Do you need some love? Expert dating advice today! Today we feature two of our favorite people, Dr. Kyle Jones and Dr. Carly Zankman, who will discuss many aspects of dating. Both Kyle and Carly are advanced and highly effective TEAM CBT therapists with tons of experience in dating, and of course, in treatment. They share their personal experiences, as well as their considerable therapeutic expertise, in this highly energetic podcast. They cover a wide range of topics including ghosting, dealing with people who give you the run-around, negative self-fulfilling prophecies, Rejection Practice, how to avoid “chasing” (which Kyle calls the “Temptations Trap”) so you can be the one who's being chased instead of the one who's doing the chasing, the importance of being playful and how to make dating fun. The also encouraged avoiding some of the common kinds of negative self-talk, like “This date will suck,” or “I'll always be alone,” or “People shouldn't be so superficial,” etc. Kyle and David discussed Kyle's first Sunday hike. Kyle had just been rejected by his boyfriend, and was feeling super down, telling  himself he was a reject and a loser. They describe how Kyle change his internal dialogue during the hike, and began to talk to himself as a winner, as an awesome, hot, sexy guy, which lifted his mood tremendously. Then David suggested a strategy designed to turn the tables on his ex-boyfriend: “Just go to a gay singles bar tonight and pick up some good looking guy and get laid! If you do that, I can guarantee your Ex will come crawling back, and then you can kick some sand in his face!” Abd that's exactly what happened! David emphasized the importance of looking your best, in terms of clothing and appearance, when dating, as well as the resistance that some people have (mostly men) who insist they “shouldn't have to play the gain.” I described my collaboration with a salesperson at the King of Prussia Bloomingdale's named Kuniko Finkelstein when I was in clinical practice in Philadelphia. I used to refer my single guys to her for a “sex uniform,” and she would select extremely sexy and appealing outfits for them. We highlighted the self-centeredness and foolishness of telling yourself that women or men should love me for the way I am. They say, “I shouldn't have to play the game.” Of course, you DON'T have to play the game, but if you don't, you may and probably will end up alone! And once you DO learn how to “play the game,” your chances of finding a deep and meaningful love relationship go way up. About Kyle and Carly Kyle Jones, PhD, is a licensed clinical psychologist with a private telehealth practice serving clients throughout California. He is a Level 4 Advanced TEAM-CBT therapist and trainer.  Kyle specializes in helping individuals navigate anxiety, relationship challenges, and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), with a warm, and evidence-based TEAM approach.
