Last week's election losses for Republicans turned out to be a major "lightbulb moment" for Republican lawmakers, and multiple new reports are telling us that these lawmakers are preparing to ignore Donald Trump for the remainder of his "lame duck" administration. They realize now that he is not as powerful or influential as he wants everyone to believe, and they also learned the hard way that blindly following him will lead to an electoral massacre. Donald Trump's cognitive decline might be even worse than we thought. New photos from The White House have revealed that the administration installed a new, gold-lettered sign indicating where the Oval Office is located, which many believe is to remind Trump how to actually get to work. This isn't just part of the ongoing renovations, as the sign is just printed on poster paper, so clearly it isn't meant to be a permanent fixture. As millions of Americans were worried about food security because her father was delaying the release of SNAP funds, Ivanka Trump was on social media promoting her new, for-profit food company that she co-founded. The Internet immediately lit up with people calling out her "tone deaf" sales pitch as Americans go hungry and struggle to afford basic grocery necessities. The timing for Ivanka really could not be worse. Not long after the horrific jobs report showing that the economy shed more than 100,000 jobs last month and layoffs have hit recession-levels, another report came out showing that Donald Trump has caused America to cross another grim economic milestone: Household debt is now at an all-time high. After increasing by nearly $200 BILLION in the last quarter, total household debt across the country now tops $18 TRILLION. And with prices increasing on everything, that number is expected to continue to rise at a record pace.Text and and let us know your thoughts on today's stories!Subscribe to our YouTube channel to stay up to date on all of Farron's content: https://www.youtube.com/FarronBalancedFollow Farron on social media! Shakira BioSnap a weekly updated Biography. In the past few days Shakira has been in the headlines as much for her record-shattering world tour as for her business ventures and award recognition. The most significant news is her continued dominance with the Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour now officially the highest-grossing Latin tour ever by a woman and second overall, having brought in over 327 million dollars from just its first 64 shows according to Billboard and Wikipedia. She played a sold-out show in Mexico City on August 26 and the tour just rolled through Guadalajara the night of the MTV Video Music Awards on September 7 which she missed despite taking home Best Latin Song for Soltera her chart-topping single named by AOL as edging out the likes of Bad Bunny and Karol G. Shakira stayed in Mexico to honor her prior concert commitments rather than attend the awards show in New York.Social media has been buzzing with fan videos and professional photography from her recent Mexican shows where Shakira has been delivering a career-spanning setlist and elaborate new stage effects. Clips of her and Mexican pop star Danna performing Soltera together are trending and local press have featured glowing reviews of her gigantic multi-million dollar production. Fashionistas on Instagram are also dissecting her custom stage looks reportedly crafted by Atelier Versace and Indian designer Anamika Khanna—shining a bright light once more on Shakira's boundary-pushing style.Beyond music Shakira's influence continues with news breaking in the past week that she has joined the FIFA Global Citizen board, working alongside names like Ivanka Trump on a hundred million dollar fund for global education as reported by CNBC TV18. This adds to her extensive philanthropic record and is seen as a step with lasting biographical impact as it highlights her ongoing commitment to causes beyond entertainment.Future dates are selling out across South America with upcoming stadium shows in Bogotá on November 1 and Santiago's Estadio Nacional on November 22. No new major relationship news has appeared in the past week and contrary to social media speculation about her personal life Shakira keeps her focus on her children and career. Her team has not responded to unsubstantiated rumors circulating on fan forums regarding possible new music collaborations or surprise guests for her Latin American tour legs—these remain speculation. The headline: Shakira has achieved another historic milestone as a touring artist while balancing major philanthropic and business undertakings, all as her global popularity and cultural impact show no signs of waning. Her ongoing Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour is not just a victory lap but a bold reinvention cementing Shakira's place at the very top of global pop culture.Get the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOtaThis content was created in partnership and with the help of Artificial Intelligence AI
Shakira BioSnap a weekly updated Biography. In the past few days Shakira's global stardom has blazed even brighter blending philanthropy art pop sensation and historical homecomings. According to AllHipHop and as widely covered in international news Shakira just joined superstar The Weeknd on the newly launched FIFA Global Citizen Education Board aimed at steering a 100 million dollar campaign to help children access education worldwide—a mission that is as ambitious as her artistic career. This huge initiative announced by FIFA and Global Citizen includes other luminaries like Serena Williams and Ivanka Trump and will leverage their combined platforms to reach 100000 kids in over 200 communities. With more than 350 million children currently out of school Shakira's involvement is being spotlighted as both strategic and deeply personal underscoring her ongoing dedication to social issues which look likely to define her legacy as much as her music. But it's not just in boardrooms and philanthropy where Shakira is making noise. The singer just performed two sold-out concerts in Cali Colombia over the past weekend creating what Spreaker described as a triumphant homecoming moment cheered on by fans and media alike. These concert dates come as part of Shakira's monumental Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour which began earlier this year in Brazil and is already setting records for attendance and gross receipts. Billions in production dollars are reportedly behind this globe-spanning tour which sees Shakira herself calling it the most ambitious of her career with bigger venues added across the Americas to meet overwhelming demand. Adjustments remain par for the course—recent cancellations included Miami and Inglewood due to local protests and San Antonio owing to venue issues—but each time she emerges back on stage to sold-out crowds and standing ovations. Her shows have featured surprise duets with Latin stars like Maluma Ozuna and Alejandro Sanz and this October she drew viral attention on Instagram sharing behind-the-scenes footage from her tour rehearsals clearly signaling her direct involvement in every stage detail. There is more on the horizon—NosEnchanteurs confirms Shakira's November will include three headline concerts in Ecuador lighting up a new swath of South American audiences. Social media has been ablaze with anticipation for these dates especially given her historic return to Colombia and the critical acclaim surrounding her 2024 album Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran. Pop culture coverage continues to be dominated by Shakira's life on and off stage with her activism concert spectacles and infectious social posts keeping her trending worldwide. Welcome to The Times of Israel's Daily Briefing, your 20-minute audio update on what's happening in Israel, the Middle East and the Jewish world. Political correspondent Tal Schneider and military correspondent Emanuel Fabian join host Amanda Borschel-Dan for today's episode. What may have been the final Saturday night protest calling for the release of the hostages took place last night in Tel Aviv. In an unprecedented appearance, on stage at Hostages Square were US envoy Steve Witkoff, the president’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, and his wife, the president’s daughter Ivanka Trump. Schneider describes the scene at the square at gives highlights from Kushner's speech. Has Israel fully signed on to end the war? Overnight Friday, the cabinet voted on and ratified the implementation of phase one of the Trump plan. Schneider, who spent several days digging into the issue, explains. The Israel Defense Forces completed a withdrawal to agreed-upon deployment lines in the Gaza Strip on Friday at noon, officially beginning a ceasefire and a 72-hour countdown during which Hamas is to release the 48 hostages it is holding under the first phase of the US-brokered deal. Fabian delves into where the troops are now and what to expect from the hostages' release. The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation will reportedly keep its aid distribution sites in the Rafah area of the southern Gaza Strip shuttered over the coming days, during the release of the hostages held by Hamas. Fabian explains what we know about the continued efforts of the GHF now that the IDF has left areas where it was operating. And finally, Fabian describes an early Saturday morning bombed hundreds of heavy engineering vehicles that the IDF said were being used by Hezbollah to restore its infrastructure in southern Lebanon. Could this sort of strike be a model for how the IDF will operate in the Gaza Strip during the ceasefire? Check out The Times of Israel's ongoing liveblog for more updates. More photos and videos on askajew.substack.comGood morning from a different Israel,Something feels lighter in the air today. It's been this way since I landed yesterday and probably started Wednesday evening when Trump announced a deal had been reached to release all remaining hostages and end the war. Israelis managed to not get their hopes up for about 30 seconds, but the joy in the faces of the hostage families – a light we had never seen before – was too infectious. If I could describe the mood here, I'd say it's a cautious euphoria. Then again, contradictions are nothing new to us.The almost-24-hour newsrooms are posting “highlight reels” of the war, coupled with hopeful,l yet not-quite-upbeat ballads like Arik Einstein's “A song that comes after the war ”. The mood is of graduation, and end of an era, wrap-up. The news panels are full of the usual crowd of retired generals, politicians, and journalists are discussing the sustainability of the agreement, the uncertain future, the tenuous political landscape, and other things that we can worry about…tomorrow. For now, we wait. There's something so special about moving through the streets here and knowing that every single person you interact with - from your family to the cashier at the supermarket – is going through the exact same thing. Every conversation ends with something like “hopefully by the next time I see you…” or “let's hope tomorrow we'll get some good news”.Yesterday at hostage square in Tel Aviv (rumored to soon be renamed “returning square” – it sounds better in Hebrew), I stood in a line of strangers waiting to hug Dani Miran, father of hostage Omri Miran. He was beaming. I said something about miracles and he corrected me: “I don't believe in miracles. I believe in the power of our people”.Later that evening, 100,000 of us people gathered to support the hostage families and hear Steve Witkoff, Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump address the crowd. People carried American flags and signs that read “Thank you President Trump” and “End this f*cking war”, a nod to an allegedly tense conversations between Trump and Netanyahu. There were cheers at every mention of Trump's name, and Boos at mentions of Netanyahu. Loud cheers when Jared Kushner mentioned peace for the people of Gaza as well, and even louder cheers when he thanked the IDF.If you've only been following the conflict through the black and white lens of social media, these seem like huge contradictions, but they make absolute perfect sense here. 66% of Israelis want the war to end, but do not confuse them for pacifists or allies of the groveling, frankly pathetic global left. It is not kumbaya and hand-holding we yearn for. We want peace because the only other option in the Middle East is war. When I posted something along these lines on X, I got some pushback from people who reminded me that it's hard to make peace with those who vow to slaughter the Jew when he hides behind the stones and the trees. But peace is made with enemies, not friends, and in reality it looks very different than the one starry-eyed college students in the west envision. Here in the Middle East It means the enemy is deterred, and soldiers can go back to their lives, their jobs and their families. It means normalcy and life, and that is what we cherish above all.I will write more in the coming days, but hopefully, by the next time we speak…More photos and videos on askajew.substack.com This is a public episode. President Trump's Middle East envoy has told a packed rally of relatives of Israeli hostages and their supporters in Tel Aviv that they were coming home. Steve Witkoff's remarks come ahead of Monday's expected release of 48 living and dead hostages by Hamas, as part of the Gaza peace deal. Mr Witkoff praised President Trump -- to cheers -- as well as the Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu -- whose name was booed. We speak to a doctor at one of the Israeli hospitals where they're expected to arrive. Also, protests in Madagascar, where at least twenty two people have been killed in recent weeks. Geoff Hess is someone I've wanted to host for years at this point. I was first familiar with him as the CEO of Analog Shift only to later meet him at a private collectors gathering here in San Diego. He's one of the most engaging people I've met through this hobby, he always has something intelligent to say, and overall, he's just the kind of guy with whom I want to surround myself. Oh yeah, and he started a little meeting called Rolliefest. Geoff was gracious enough to include me in this year's festivities in NYC - an experience I won't soon forget. He and I discuss his time working with Ivanka Trump, his foray into watches, the watch he considers to have been the hardest to acquire, how important honesty is, and how being a father has changed him. I have the utmost respect for Geoff, so I'm confident you'll enjoy what he has to say.Links:STANDARD Hhttps://standard-h.com/@standardh_Geoff Hess@manhattanrollie

Jimmy Kimmel is headed back to ABC after his show was suspended following comments he made about the assassination of Charlie Kirk; Disney says the return, set for Tuesday, comes after thoughtful conversations, though many ABC affiliates like Sinclair and Nexstar will still refuse to air him. Today's Headlines: Trump and Putin are meeting today in Anchorage, Alaska, at the Cold War-era Elmendorf-Richardson base — which Russian media is treating like a five-star historic landmark. Ukraine's Zelensky wasn't invited to the land-talks party. Trump says he's optimistic about a deal, with a joint press conference possible if things go smoothly (or solo remarks if they don't). Meanwhile, investigators say Russia-backed hackers broke into the federal courts' sealed records system, which holds national security cases and other sensitive files. In politics, California Governor Gavin Newsom marked “Liberation Day” by announcing a ballot measure to take redistricting power from his state's independent commission, while Texas keeps fighting over its own maps. Border Patrol showed up at Newsom's LA event, prompting Mayor Karen Bass to call it “provocative.” Inflation's back in the spotlight as wholesale prices saw their biggest jump since 2022. PBS is still defunded, and conservative group PragerU is being floated as a replacement. And in family news: Ivanka Trump's back to plan a White House UFC fight for America's 250th birthday, while Hunter Biden claims Jeffrey Epstein introduced Donald and Melania Trump — something Melania's lawyers want retracted, but Hunter says he's not backing down. Donald Trump cements his dictator identity by rewriting U.S. history to his liking, tampering with museum exhibits, and deploying the U.S. military against Americans in the name of crime fighting. Democratic members of Congress try to hold ICE accountable for terrible conditions at its internment prisons, but HHS is getting better at hiding its tracks and its abuses. Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s deranged ideas about vaccines are not only hurting the preparedness of the United States to address new diseases, but are making MAGA followers hostile to a scientific community that is only dedicated to helping people. And Ivanka Trump is organizing a cage fight at the White House for the nation's 250th anniversary.
In the second episode of our special Politics Weekly America series, the reporters Ashley Parker, Rosie Gray and Eric Cortellessa explain why some of Trump's family decided to step back from political life, and who stepped up to get him back to the White House
When Glennon Doyle was diagnosed with anorexia in her 40s, her wife Abby was grieving the sudden death of her brother, and her sister Amanda had just been diagnosed with breast cancer. It was a year that brought all three of them to their knees — and became the unlikely foundation for their new book, We Can Do Hard Things. In this episode, Glennon opens up about what it means to keep showing up when the people you usually rely on are struggling, too. We talk about the power of friendship, the myth of having it all together, and the moment Glennon stopped hiding her illness — even on the red carpet. She reflects on visibility, activism, and why the most honest people often feel like the biggest messes. And for the first time, Glennon reveals how she felt when she saw Ivanka Trump holding a copy of her book Untamed in an Instagram post. Raw, wise and unexpectedly funny – just like this conversation is a reminder that none of us are doing this alone. Glennon’s new book We Can Do Hard Things is available here. It's July 4th! And we're celebrating by pretending it's July 5th. Hey, anything to get another day closer to the end of the Trump regime! But to be more precise about it, we're pretending it's July 5, 2019. Why? Well, July 5, 2024 wasn't a particularly uplifting moment in time for us. But the day after Trump's first attempt at a Washington, DC “military parade?” That's entertainment! So we're re-running the July 5, 2019 episode, which Scott Anderson originally summarized this way: But… Did. They. Get. Off? The rain was almost… almost like a “sign” from above that yesterday's greatest show in history would be the hugest lesson in irony. In that, it did not disappoint. David Waldman takes us through Donald Trump's history lesson on ramming the ramparts at airports during the Revolution. If you think Trump sees history in a strange way, wait until you hear how he sees himself. Profile in courage Donald Trump wishes he could be the good person he really is inside... it's just that you provoke him so. An open letter to the director of the US Holocaust Memorial Museum states why we again need to say Never Again. Trump tries to come up with a way to rig the Census that someone will believe, but why bother when lies work so well? Oregon's governor uses her executive powers for good. Cheese and whiskey are targeted in the US's latest proposed tariffs on EU, as the Jim Beam bourbon warehouse is allowed to burn down to keep from polluting the water. What will the Gop do without the NRA? The Indian government already has a plan in place for dealing with Ivanka Trump-like intrusion. Serena Blaiz—Daily Kos' peacearena—reports on the expanding local news desert, and the unexpected hits on your local economy.
I remember the exact moment when I realized I loved my country. The year was 1997. The place was Italy. The affliction was love. The guy had a Che Guevara poster on his wall. I had no idea who that was. He was talking about Israel and how terrible they were. I had no idea what he meant, so I just nodded along. But then he started trash-talking America. So I said, “Well, you sure like our Marlboros, our Levis, and our movies, don't you?” It could have been a joke, but it somehow wasn't. I wasn't mad exactly, I was defensive. And that's how I knew I loved my country, and why I was an unapologetic American.Like Kevin Kline in A Fish Called Wanda:As we gather together on the Fourth of July to celebrate the nation's birthday, I'm struck by just how polarized we still are. It is as bad as it was during the last Civil War. So, how can we feel as if we are still “One nation, under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all?”They don't feel that way on the Left, and they make sure everyone on the Right knows it. They hiss and shriek and moan and scream at Trump and his supporters as though they are living under an oppressive emperor rather than just having suffered a humiliating defeat in November. If only they called him an emperor. They've gone all the way to Hitler. Once you've reached Hitler, there's nowhere left to go.But maybe that's wrong. Perhaps there is still somewhere else to go, taking what is a virtual Civil War and transforming it into a hot war, or at the very least, a violent uprising. If, say, a few blue states decided to secede from the union, over mass deportations or transgender ideology, what then?Zohran Mamdani has promised, if he's elected, to obstruct ICE, even if it means he gets arrested by the feds.Gavin Newsom has already taunted Trump into arresting him for obstructing ICE. Mayor Karen Bass in Los Angeles and all of the wealthy donors who put her in power are making mass deportations the central issue for the Democrats. Is it a cause worth fighting and dying for? They've taken to social media to proclaim “Alligator Alcatraz,” which is designed as a deterrent to discourage gang members, drug smugglers, and other criminals from risking crossing the border illegally, “Alligator Auschwitz.”This illustrates perfectly how it is that the Left has become the crazier side. What Trump says could be seen as potentially removing American citizens, but it's not clear exactly what he means. If you do not exist in reality, what he says can mean whatever you want it to.They react with the same level of panic as they had with the Access Hollywood tape, Russiagate, E. Jean Carroll, Stormy Daniels, “good people on both sides,” “losers and suckers,” Ivanka Trump, Elon is a Nazi, impeachment, impeachment, indictment, indictment. They are the party that cried wolf.Their helplessness in the face of Trump's wins is then taken out on those they know. Most people on the Right have a story like that. I have lost many friends over the past ten years, and much of it even before I ever decided to vote for or support Trump. It's just that I asked too many questions. I didn't follow the rules. It isn't just the betrayal of voting for Trump, although that's a big part of it; it is the mandated directive from inside their Doomsday Cult. They must purge those who do not align with their views, and even those who know or are friends with Trump supporters are also banished, swarmed, and attacked. So, how can we celebrate as one country if so many of those who rule our culture and dominate so much of our society are this intolerant?A New America OnlineI've lived online for 30 years. I helped build what would become a vast utopia of a new America. Our superpower was creating our own reality and then presenting it to the media, who then transformed it into the status quo.Much of the early internet took shape in the George W. Bush era. Not many people realized the power of social media back then, but Barack Obama did. It's not likely Bush would have even been elected if social media had been around. The Republicans were slow to catch on. This is a public episode. If you'd like to discuss this with other subscribers or get access to bonus episodes, visit sashastone.substack.com/subscribe

Don't let it be said that the superrich care only about themselves, always taking from society and giving nothing back.Consider the generous billionaires who live on an island in Florida's Biscayne Bay. Amazon kingpin Jeff Bezos lives there, as do Ivanka Trump and her hubby, Jared Kushner. Actually, their so-called island is fake, built in the bay so a few dozen absurdly rich sparklies don't have to mix with commoners living in the adjacent town of Surfside.Snootiness aside, though, the billionaires have literally been giving “of themselves” to Surfside's people. Specifically, their bodily waste has long been leaking from the septic systems of their mansions, polluting the town's environment. Yes, the rich are actually defecating on commoners.Facing public scorn, the Bezos-Trump-Kushner clan proposed piping their excrement into Surfside's sewer system. Okay, but when the city asked for $10 million to help cover the pipe's cost, the billionaires squealed like stuck hogs!Come on! Ten million for them is like 10 dollars for you and me. Of course, moneyed elites didn't get rich by playing fair, but by playing the system. So, they dispatched their lobbyists and lawyers to Gov. Ron DeSantis. Sure enough – BAM! – Republican officials suddenly and secretly approved a new state provision decreeing that local communities like Surfside cannot interfere with or even demand payment for such special-interest sewer projects as the Bezos-Trump-Kushner hookup. Then, again with no publicity, DeSantis signed the billionaires' corrupt law – no doubt assured that they would reward his kindness later on.Ironically, the word “defecate” is derived from a Latin verb meaning “to cleanse.” But there's not enough soap in Florida to clean the hands of these dirty dealers.Jim Hightower's Lowdown is a reader-supported publication.

TALK TO ME, TEXT ITThursday morning arrives with a weary sigh – the longest four-day week drags on, bringing with it a peculiar collection of news stories that range from cosmic threats to psychedelic misadventures. Venus might be harboring a deadly secret: at least three "city-killer" asteroids circling in unstable orbits that could potentially strike Earth without warning. Brazilian researchers warn these space rocks could deliver impacts with "a million times more energy than the Hiroshima atomic bomb" if their trajectories shift even slightly. It's the kind of news that makes you wonder why we bother with mundane worries. The earthbound headlines prove equally strange. Two New York hikers called emergency services in panic, convinced their friend had died on an Adirondack Mountain trail – only for rangers to discover they were simply "zooted off" psychoactive mushrooms. Their supposedly deceased companion was found alive, uninjured, and likely confused about the whole ordeal. Meanwhile, a Palm Beach plastic surgeon reveals patients are increasingly requesting to look like political figures rather than movie stars, with Ivanka Trump, Kristi Noem, and Kimberly Guilfoyle topping the wishlist. And in Shanghai, a viral video shows a woman allegedly forced to remove her heavy makeup at immigration when facial recognition couldn't match her appearance to her passport.Between asteroid doom and mushroom-induced panic, there's still room for literary recommendations. Maureen Callahan's exposé on the Kennedy family offers shocking revelations about America's political dynasty, while Julie Satow's "The Plaza" delivers historical facts through engaging creative non-fiction. What are you reading right now? Share your current book – perhaps something to distract from city-killing asteroids or, at minimum, help you navigate the longest four-day week ever.Buzzsprout - Let's get your podcast launched!Start for FREE Thanks for listening! To help us navigate these dark times, Gaslit Nation will hold our first book club. Join us next Monday, February 24, at 4pm ET for a salon discussion on two profound works: Albert Camus' The Stranger (the Matthew Ward translation) and Viktor Frankl's Man's Search for Meaning. These books capture the emotional truth of our era. Frankl, a Holocaust survivor and psychologist, offers extraordinary insights into how people confronted genocide in death camps. His account of prisoners organizing cabarets and finding spiritual connections, even in the face of death, is both harrowing and inspiring. Man's Search for Meaning is essential reading for understanding how casual sadism, like Elon Musk's highly illegal mass purge of live-saving government programs, is already taking root in the U.S. This week's bonus show also features a continuation of our conversations with Elie Mystal, author of Bad Law: Ten Popular Laws That Are Ruining America, on why we need an EU travel ban of Ivanka Trump and others complicit in the destruction of democracy in America, and investigative journalist Greg Palast, director of Vigilantes, Inc., a must-see film about the GOP's war on democracy. To access the full episode, join our Patreon community at Patreon.com/Gaslit. As we face these turbulent times, Gaslit Nation remains committed to shedding light on the truth. Stay tuned for our all-new episode this Tuesday. Together, we can weather this storm and reclaim our democracy. Want to enjoy Gaslit Nation ad-free? There's a troubling sense of normalcy bias among some Democratic leaders who believe they'll regain their footing in the 2026 midterms, riding another anti-Trump wave. But here's the critical question: will the United States even have free and fair elections? To answer that, we need to look back and ask: was the 2024 U.S. election free and fair? Elon Musk and Donald Trump, and those around them, break the law so brazenly, how can we trust they came to power without breaking the law? According to investigative journalist Greg Palast, this week's guest and director of the must-see film Vigilantes Inc., which you can watch for free, the answer is a resounding no. Palast's analysis reveals the shocking normalization of Republican voter suppression: over 3.5 million votes were effectively canceled in 2024. This means 3.5 million Americans were denied their fundamental right to vote. And according to Palast, a significant number of suppressed voters are nonwhite. This isn't just voter suppression; it's a modern-day resurrection of Jim Crow, fueled by the Republican Party's relentless assault on democracy. In this week's bonus episode, out Friday, Elie Mystal, the Justice Correspondent for The Nation, and author of the new book Bad Law: Ten Popular Laws That Are Ruining America, explains how the GOP's reaction to the first Black president was to gut the Voting Rights Act, paving the way for Trump. In this week's bonus episode, we also continue our conversation with Palast, diving into the power of film as a powerful force for confronting America's darkest history. Plus, we'll also hear from Mystal on why European nations must take a stand by imposing a travel ban on Ivanka Trump and others complicit in the destruction of our democracy—a move that could help hold the Musk-Trump regime accountable for its action, along with divestment strategies that brought down Apartheid. Joy Reid leads this edition of The ReidOut with Donald Trump aligning with President Elon Musk in calling for an end to USAID—the same agency that First Lady Melania Trump once praised as embodying her "Be Best" initiative and that Ivanka Trump used to launch a highly publicized program to empower women in developing countries. Less than three weeks into this new administration, we are already facing what many are calling a constitutional crisis, and it is not coming from the man elected to sit behind the Resolute Desk, but from the unelected billionaire seemingly pulling the strings—Elon Musk. Listen now to this edition of The ReidOut on MSNBC.
