Can Your Power of Attorney Change Beneficiary Designations

A presidential order with potential massive impact was recently issued by President Donald Trump, on “Countering Domestic Terrorism and Organized Political Violence.” The order could affect not just gangs or groups like Antifa, which have now been designated as terrorists. This includes all the organizations involved in “acts of political violence and intimidation designed to suppress lawful political activity or obstruct the rule of law.” It also proposes the use of Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act charges against the entire network and the potential labeling of any group or individual involved as terrorists.We'll discuss this topic and others, in this episode of Crossroads.Views expressed in this video are opinions of the host and guests, and do not necessarily reflect the views of The Epoch Times.

On September 26th, Kagoshima City took administrative action to revoke the disability welfare service designation of the "Employment Support Center Shichifukujin" (Takashi 2-chome), a Type B Continuing Employment Support Facility operated by the Social Welfare Corporation Tenyukai (Director: Yurika Nagata) in Murasakihara 5-chome, for fraudulently claiming training and other benefits. The city also ordered the repayment of 25,176,250 yen fraudulently claimed and received, plus additional payments totaling 35,240,631 yen. The revocation of the designation will take effect on September 30th. The U.S. military possesses a deep and extensive body of cyber expertise in uniform in the National Guard and Reserve force in particular. Leveraging this expertise effectively, both in a way that is productive for the military, and that is fulfilling and meaningful for the servicemember — which results in benefits for recruiting, retention, and continued development of this expertise — has been an ongoing challenge. This productive employment is even more challenging while in reserve status, resulting in attrition of this critical force. There is a national imperative, as well as clear statements from military cyber leadership, to effectively utilize all available resources to include the National Guard and Reserve force to meet the nation's cyber challenges. About the speaker: Dave Schroeder works to enable and advance intelligence and security research and partnerships at the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
