THE WAIT IS OVER! You've all been waiting with bated breath, right? I'm sure. Anyway. Eva has taken a step back from the pod, but the rest of us are here to (mostly) cover (mostly) everything we've missed! Mando S3,. Visions, THR, and Survivor! It's good to be back, friends. Thanks for sticking with us

We made it!! Somehow, against all odds, we made it to episode 300. And in typical Skyhoppers fashion, we get up to some nonsense: a Star Wars… draft? There are different categories and we all take turns taking things from those categories and it's FUN. Thank you all so much for sticking with us for all this time

Dakota and Ben sit down with the intention of talking about Episode 9 of Season 2 of The Bad Batch, and while they get there eventually, they take a lengthy detour through The High Republic land and catch up with some discussion about Convergence by Zoraida Cordova and “new adult” novels!

This is 1) late and 2) not even really an episode of Skyhoppers. But despite our rough release schedule (which is hopefully being addressed going forward), Cole and I were still able to get together and record Obroa-skai Walkers. And since the first half of that show tends to be about The Bad Batch, we decided to kill two mynocks with one stone. And hey, if you like our specific brand of Star Wars rambling, go check out Obroa-skai Walkers!

Ben, Cole, and Dakota are here to present the last Skyhoppers episode of 2022! After tackling a wee bit of news re: The Bad Batch and Jedi: Survivor, we dig into our favorite Star Wars things from the last year and make fun of Cole for being behind on reading.

Ben finished Legacy of the Force: Bloodlines (spoilers end at about 46:30) and he is in PAIN. So naturally there is a lot of discussion about that since Andor talk happened on Skyhoppers this week. But then Darth Bane almost dies twice and sets his greater plans in motion (not necessarily in that order). This week's Article From the Archives: Dark Eye (EF76 Nebulon-B escort frigate)
This is an... unorthodox episode of Skyhoppers. In that it isn't meant to be an episode at all. This is actually the first half of an Obroa-skai Walkers episode where Cole and Ben talk EXTENSIVELY about Episode 7 of Andor. So it's basically a Skyhoppers episode. Enjoy!

I am all alone this evening! We're pushing our recording back this week so that more of us have time to watch the three episodes of ANDOR, but I still felt like talking about Star Wars. So I dug out some of the books from my collection and talked about why I think they're important for half an hour! Maybe that's your thing! Maybe not! Anyway, I tried my best!

Regular listeners! This is the fourth in a series of Patreon-exclusive episodes that I record with Austin of The Ossus Project where we take deep dives into various aspects of the Star Wars -verses, both uni- and meta-. Have this one on the house, and consider subbing at our Patreon for as little as $1 a month to get all future episodes as well as the three that we've done already (plus all that sweet, sweet After Hours content). Original description: In this month's Skyhoppers Saturday, Austin and Ben take a deep dive on STAR WARS ROLEPLAYING GAMES. Specifically the West End d6 system because they're sickos for that kinda thing.

We're talking about all of that, the dangers of dinner theater, James Cameron's Avatar and more. THINGS MENTIONED: Paul Tassi for Forbes on why Minecraft saying no to NFTs is such a big deal. Folding Ideas on sandbox games and colonialism. This Polygon article about the dangers of gaming outside amid record heats. The Washington Post on Blizzard Albany's unionization efforts. Sowwy. No new episode dis week ;_; Life is hard! So have an old episode! I picked this one because I recently had a discussion with a friend about how TPM is clearly the best Prequel film. I will not be taking criticism at this time.

The title says a lot, listeners. In a rare Ben-less episode of Skyhoppers, Cole, Dakota, and half an Eva discuss the fourth episode of THE BOOK OF BOBA FETT: THE GATHERING STORM! (Editor's note: I loved this episode and I'm sorry if these buffoons said anything truly abhorrent. But I trust them.)

Since Eva and Dakota are out this week, Ben and Cole decided to just record Obroa-Skai Walkers and pass it off as a Skyhoppers episode! They go through 2021 and rank each of the books they read this year against the others. But even if you don't follow that podcast, they spend some time talking about Book of Boba Fett (ONE WEEK) and ranking Legends books too!
As the title suggests, this isn't a new book or even a proper interlude. We were SUPPOSED to record an episode of Skyhoppers, but when Cole and I get left alone, it basically turns into this show anyway so we just went ahead and did that on purpose. We take a look back at the books we read in 2021 and try to rank them against one another. We also try to rank the rest of the books we've read, but that's a big task. In this special edition of The Skyhoppers Podcast (maybe), Ben is joined by longtime friend of the show Austin from The Ossus Project to talk a little bit about the shakeups that are happening in the world of Star Wars comics! IDW is losing the Star Wars license and DARK HORSE COMICS is making their triumphant return! What does this mean? Why is it happening? What do we want to see out of our old friends at Dark Horse? All of this, and so so so much more!

In a shocking turn of events, we don't have a Skyhoppers episode for you this week. But it's only because we have an entirely NEW podcast for you to listen to!!! Our good friends Luke and Austin have started new comics podcast called THE OSSUS PROJECT that's going to live here while they get off the ground. This week, they're covering issues #50 and #55-58 of the Star Wars: Republic comic!! Check it out!!!
On this holiest of anniversaries (or close to it), we're talking about the reason we're all here: STAR WARS EPISODE IV: A NEW HOPE. Kind of a retrospective, kind of a meta discussion, but for better or for worse, all Skyhoppers.
On this month's TSW Round Table Rob is joined by Ben from the Skyhoppers podcast, James from the Tumbling Saber podcast and VIP Jay Winkworth. Also a special appearance from Matt Keegan. The guys discuss Anakin training, Clones dealing with the after math of order 66, Star Wars Celebration and much, much more!
On this episode of the TSW Round Table we revisit 2002's Attack Of The Clones. Rob's co-hosts are Tim from the Nerd Room podcast, Ash from the Skyhoppers podcast and TSW VIP Nathan.
On this episode of the TSW Round Table we revisit 2005's Revenge Of The Sith. Rob's co-hosts are Ash from the Skyhoppers podcast and TSW friends Mike & Cole.
Rob Cast is joined on the TSW Roundtable by Adam Sheldon (From the newly minted Retro Inc podcast, as well as a Knight of the Commonwealth and beloved VIP), JP (VIP) and Ben from the Skyhoppers podcast to talk about the movie that started it all.
As in typical Skyhoppers fashion, your hosts (all four of them this week) set out to discuss the balance of the Force in a general sense, but get sidetracked on the Mandalorian for a good chunk of time. And as always, the usual nonsense, including a new segment called “Is It Edible?” DO NOT email georgelucas@gmail.com.
We gathered once again with our pals from Skyhoppers to watch a Star War. This time, episode THREE (otherwise knows as three eyes): Revenge of the Sith! What would droids look like with skin? What is actually happening during a Mon Cala opera? Which members of the podcast actually make it through the whole commentary track without falling asleep? (You know exactly who). LISTEN TO FIND OUT! This week's glistener question: (Same as last time) Is Yaddle's species a mammal or a reptile? Show your work. It's finally time for the Dooku episode. This week, we talk briefly about dads in the GFFA (and for more of that, you should listen to Meg's guest appearance on the Skyhoppers). Then, it's Dooku time! We discuss the new audio drama Dooku: Jedi Lost (spoilers be here!) and the life of Count Dooku and his boyfriend Sifo-Dyas. We are joined once more by Byn and Ash from the Skyhoppers podcast to watch a Star Wars film together. Join us in our watch of Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones. Want insightful commentary? Look elsewhere. Want to hear excessive giggling about hot dog images you can't see? This is the place for you!
