READ OUR INTERVIEW WITH DEANO AT BOMPHCAST.COM Deano is one of the hallmarks of Cape Towns' techno scene. His ethos has a strong focus on DIY. From running a label and events series to curating and designing most of his own visual content, Deano works all have one thing in common. Quality. His label Knowledge Imprint is a platform for not only Deano's own releases but also for young, like-minded talents. The label focusses on limited edition vinyl as well as carefully curated digital releases. Deano's music is awash with hypnotic grooves and rhythm. They make for the perfect DJ sets tools. Each moment in Deano's work is carefully constructed for maximum impact on the dance floor. He's formed his own sonic, one that pushes the boundaries and brings a new sound to techno. You can find Deano's releases on labels such as Konsequent, Concerns, KSR and his very own Knowledge Imprint. Deano is also an official resident of Cape Town's top underground club Mødular. It's here where he often runs his own events. Deano also makes regular appearances at Johannesburg's And Club for long-standing techno organization TOY TOY. His 2 hour-long mix for Bomphcast was recorded at TOY TOY. If you close your eyes, you can imagine yourself being amongst the crowd, dancing away to infectious grooves and rhythm. @deanoknowledge

M'velo,commonly known as Mvelo is a South African artist from Durban who was born for mastering the music culture in general,but currently resides in Johannesburg.He started playing in 2005 but only broke into the scene in 2008,debuting in a club based in his hometown which was known for its fast passed base music which is referred to as Gqom music. With his love for Deep House music,Mvelo was able to merge the two enabling him to find his own sound,also being introduced to the Techno scene helped him in finding his sound. Over the past two years M'velo has been very active,playing alongside well known South African and international Dj/Producers,by the likes of Deeper Shades Of House founder Lars Behrenroth,Jazzman,Andre Lodemann,Andy Compton,Bas Amro ...to name a few. He is a co-founder of an South African based online radio show called Kalashnikovv radio and is curenly working with a Russian based team hosting RTS.FM in South Africa. M'velo is a recently descoverd DJ who has shared his musical journey in a few well known clubs especially in Johannesburg,performing in events like The Warm Up,Toy Toy at And club,Inner City Outer Space,Kiti In-House Sessions and also featured on a few Radio Stations and a Dj'ing TV programm called Hit Refresh. Mvelo's sound is Known to be full of deep, ambient sounds,solid bass,minimal and techy grooves. M'velo is an active member of the local electronic dance music community but surely no stranger to the ups-and-downs of the music scene.

Dynamism....from a metaphysical perspective, it's the belief that the nature of every substance contains an expression of the universe. As an artistic movement, dynamism is the capture of an objects motion - both intrinsic and relative to its environment. To me, Dynamism is the push and pull of intensity and energy. I consider this mix one of my more ambitious efforts, aiming to work through strong swings of intensity, melody, and motion while still staying on some semblance of a cogent course. I find that this is a mix that I enjoy the more I listen to it, which usually isn't the case. I hope it resonates with you as much as it does for me.
