This episode is so important to me because I am passionate about breaking the stigma of mental health. Like any other part of our body, we need to take care of our mind. And as Founders, sometimes we think what we are experiencing is unique to us, so we go through a lot of internal torment trying to figure things out on our own. As I talk about with Dr. Joy, sometimes I have felt like, I don’t need to speak to anyone, it’s not that serious. But on today’s episode we get into: Why you shouldn’t wait to reach a breaking point before seeking support The truth about self care and why you can’t “self-care” yourself into not going to therapy What self sabotage looks like and how to overcome it How to thrive as a black founder As a reminder, this episode is in no way a substitute to seeking help from a licensed therapist in your state.
