There is a Mexican restaurant that was close to our house when we used to live in the LA area, and this restaurant is known for the way that they greet their customers when they walk in the front door. So right when you walk in the front door, whichever employee sees you first will yell out, “Hey, where have you been?,” and that feeling of warmth and belonging when they yell that out and give you a big smile, there's just nothing like it. I think that's honestly what I thought of when I pulled out my podcast microphone today and plugged it in – I realized I wanted to give you a little update of where I've been, what I've been up to, and to let you know that we're back and there's gonna be some new episodes rolling out regularly soon. In Episode 18, I chatted about goals with the incredible Martha Hoang, which led to a different convo about creativity in leadership. So in Part 2 we chat about creativity and how that trait plays out in her style as a leader. Here are the most important things you need to know about my dear friend and gifted leader: "i'm martha, but you can call me marth. i believe in candid vulnerability, feeling empowered, and radiating beauty from the inside out. i have two psychology degrees. i'm an enfj, enneagram type 2. i geek out over anything leadership + development. my personal leadership is: vulnerable, generous, and forgiving. my favorite questions to ask are: ‘what goals are you working toward right now?' and ‘what's your favorite thing about yourself?' i have two full time jobs: freelance photography and global communications for lululemon. if i'm not on my laptop or behind my camera, you can catch me in a good book, driving with no destination with my windows rolled down + blasting my angsty teen playlist, finding a design project to take on, enjoying a good view, with friends, or on a spin bike."
