Living Faith: Arrogance Ronnie Roberts Text: James 4:11-17 Arrogance is thumbing your nose at God. I. it is arrogant to place yourself in judgment over others. II. it is arrogant to believe your plans will not fail. III. To overcome arrogance, you must submit to the sovereignty of God.

Living Faith: "Warning about Worldliness" Ronnie Roberts Text: James 4:1-10 This world has nothing good for us. I. Our desires create hostilities. II. Our desires come from our friendship with this world. III. We can break our ties to this world through God's grace.

Living Faith: "God Given Wisdom" Ronnie Roberts Text: James 3:13-18 We are to live the wisdom of God. I. The world does not supply this wisdom. II. True wisdom comes from God. III. This wisdom from God is displayed in His people.

Living Faith: "The Tongue in Your Mouth" Ronnie Roberts Text: James 3:1-2 Our tongues, though evil, can be used for good. I. Good teaching is a serious responsibility. II. James defines the troubles of the tongue. a. the tongue is small but powerful. b. the tongue is untamable. c. the tongue reveals more about us than we care to admit.

Living Faith: Useless Faith Speaker: Ronnie Roberts Text: James 2:14-17 We cannot live a useless faith. I. Where there are no works, there is no faith. II. Where there is no faith, there is no salvation. III. We are justified by works and not by faith alone. (vs. 18-26)

Living Faith: No Place for Favoritism Speaker: Ronnie Roberts Text: James 2:1-13 People living for Jesus must not show favoritism I. Favoritism cannot represent Jesus. II. We cannot live according to our worldly judgements. III. We are called to live according to the law of love.

Living Faith: BEING Speaker: Ronnie Roberts Text: James 1:19-27 We are the results of God's goodness. I. Be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger. II. Be doers of the word, and not hearers only. III. Be pure and undefiled in religion.

Living Faith: Spiritual Fitness Speaker: Ronnie Roberts Text: James 1:9-15 James helps us understand spiritual fitness. I. We are weakened by our wealth. II. We are blessed by standing strong. III. We are condemned when we blame others for our condition. IV. We are exalted by God's good giving. (vs. 16-18)

We face our troubles with a joyful attitude. II. We face our troubles with understanding. III. We learn to submit to the good results. IV. We face our troubles with prayerful hearts.

After God's Heart: House for God Speaker: Ronnie Roberts Text: 2 Samuel 11:1-5 We must beware that sin is always lurking. I. Temptation to sin does not rest or retire. II. Hiding sin only takes us deeper into sinfulness. (vs. 11) III. Sin cannot be hidden from God.

After God's Heart: Led by Fear Speaker: Ronnie Roberts Text: 1 Samuel 27:1-12 You cannot allow fear to rule over you. I. Fear leads to hopeless reasoning. (vs 7) II. Hopelessness can lead to faithless compromise. (vs. 12) III. Let God rule over you. (Proverbs 3:5-6)

After God's Heart: Rescue from Failure Speaker: Ronnie Roberts Text: 1 Samuel 25:2-34 We need God to save us from ourselves. I. Pursue honoring God consistently. II. God gives His divine direction through others. (vs. 20-34) III. We must act wisely in the midst of conflict. (James 1:19-20)
