The wealth you want is often built in the choices no one else can see.In this solo episode of Life of And, Tiffany breaks down a financial framework that can change how you think about money, time, and the life you are building. Instead of only asking whether something fits your monthly budget, Tiffany challenges listeners to ask: does this decision make me money, save me time, or help me build something? That simple filter turns everyday choices, from childcare to subscriptions to cash sitting in an account, into a clearer way to protect your energy, grow your options, and support a more abundant future. This conversation is a practical reminder that looking successful and building real wealth are not the same thing. Tiffany shares personal examples from her own family's decisions, including investing in childcare, choosing public school, putting cash to work, and saying no to spending that only creates the appearance of success. Listeners will walk away with a more grounded way to evaluate financial choices, understand income statement versus balance sheet thinking, and take simple steps toward a life with more freedom, flexibility, and intention. What You'll LearnHow to tell the difference between income statement thinking and balance sheet thinkingWhy invisible financial choices can create more freedom, flexibility, and long-term wealthThree simple actions to help your money and time start working harder for the life you actually wantTimestamps:(00:00) Intro(02:12) The three purchases test(03:50) Income statement vs balance sheet thinking(07:52) How your balance sheet shows what you're building(10:12) Why a budget is not enough(11:52) When childcare becomes a time investment(15:20) The real cost behind family decisions(18:01) The trap of looking wealthy(18:17) What happens when you invest the monthly spend(23:47) How to get your cash working for you(29:20) The scoreboard that really matters(30:26) Three money moves to make nowLike this episode? Did you know that the dollar has lost 97% of its purchasing power since 1913? And the people managing your money, your financial advisor, your 401k provider, your bank, none of them will ever tell you that. That's because the moment you understand what's actually happening to the dollar, you're going to change your strategy, and they will stop making money off of you. On this episode of Investing in Real Estate, we're going to unpack what's happening with the decline of the US dollar. We're going to discuss the national debt, the state of inflation, and how geopolitical tensions are impacting the dollar. Most importantly, you'll learn about where to put your money before the dollar collapses.
This week we're talking about something every hunter loves to argue about… conservation organizations. Everybody's got stickers on their coolers, everybody's got a banquet they support, and everybody's convinced their organization is the one truly saving hunting. But if we strip away the branding, the raffles, the banquets, and the social media posts… where is the money actually going?Who's buying habitat?Who's restoring land?Who's improving public access? And which groups are really moving the needle for wildlife?Because at the end of the day, conservation shouldn't just be a slogan. But Tiffany challenges the assumption that doing more is the right answer. Instead, she introduces a powerful reframing: every minute you spend is an economic decision about how you allocate your most limited resource, namely time.Through simple math, practical examples, and personal experience, Tiffany explains why treating time as more valuable than money can transform how you approach work, family, and daily responsibilities. She also shares practical ways to start reclaiming your time, whether that means outsourcing tasks, rethinking your financial decisions, or being more intentional about how your minutes are spent. What You'll LearnWhy time, not money, is your most limited and valuable resourceHow to calculate your hourly rate and rethink everyday tasksPractical ways to “buy back” time and reinvest it into what matters mostReady to Put Your Money to Work? Whether your children are leaving home, your career is evolving, or you're navigating a quiet season, Brian and Tiffany unpack how your identity can become tangled with your roles, and how this creates a sense of loss when those roles change.Tiffany shares her own experiences of grappling with this shift, including the moment she realized she had defined herself by the roles she played, not by who she truly was. Together, they discuss the importance of self-trust and how it's often tested when life becomes quieter, and the roles that once defined you no longer hold the same weight. In the rapid-moving world of delegated money management, it is important to recognize the differences in how mutual funds and alternative assets operate. When it comes to alternatives, how do these funds wind up with strong incentive contracts for the money managers as opposed to flat fee contracts more commonly seen in mutual funds? Why do managers of alternatives cap their fund sizes when it could potentially lead to lower fees?On this episode, hosts and finance professors Jonathan Berk and Jules van Binsbergen examine the key differences between mutual funds and alternatives, by unpacking research in a new paper co-authored by Berk. The conversation covers performance fees, persistent alpha, limits on capital, and the key liquidity distinction between mutual funds and alternatives. Put Your Money Where Your Heart Is God First Essential Church January 25, 2026
“Put your money where your mouth is” 可不是 “把钱放在嘴上” 的意思!不少小伙伴看到 “Put your money where your mouth is” 这个表达可能会困惑,“put” 是放,“money” 是钱,“mouth” 是嘴巴,字面直译好像是 “把钱放在你的嘴上”。 If you tell someone 'You need to put your money where your mouth is', you're telling that person to stop talking and do something instead. “Put your money where your mouth is”翻译成中文可以是:说到做到、言行一致、拿出实际行动来证明If you're so confident about the project's success, why not put your money where your mouth is and invest in it? She claims she's the best cook in the neighborhood—let her put her money where her mouth is and host a dinner party. The first thing is that it shows other investors that you are willing to put your money where your mouth is, and that you will take good care of the fund because it's your money at stake too.

Episode 441 of the Everybody ESL podcast is a mini episode that teaches you the interesting expression “Put your money where your mouth is” (and two similar expressions). In this episode of Relish, hosts Roe Miller and Don Patterson tackle practical questions about prayer, money, and Scripture that many believers face. A young questioner, Rowan, prompts a wide-ranging discussion about prayer's role in major life decisions like choosing a college and seeking God's calling, and how prayer brings peace and clarity during uncertain seasons. The conversation moves into ethics and stewardship: should Mennonites and advocates of nonviolence invest in defense companies? Don urges listeners to “put your money where your mouth is,” reflecting on how investments reveal the priorities of our hearts. They then unpack tithe and giving—what 10% means, the difference between tithes, gifts, and offerings, and the danger of turning generosity into legalism. Scripture (including Malachi 3 and Jesus' teaching in Matthew 6) is used to highlight generosity as a joyful, heart-driven response rather than a checkbox. Don also addresses theological questions about what we've truly earned versus what God has given, emphasizing that all good gifts come from God and we remain indebted to grace. The hosts consider whether it's possible to out-give God and reject keeping a ledger mentality in favor of relationship-based giving. Finally, the episode raises concerns about Bible literacy and access to Scripture: they warn against letting the Bible sit on a shelf or only relying on apps, and encourage embedding Scripture into daily life so it can serve as a lamp in dark or difficult times. Practical references include traditional Sunday school resources and the reality that digital access can fail, underscoring the value of internalized Scripture. Throughout, Roe and Don offer pastoral, down-to-earth guidance—balancing doctrine, personal experience, and Scripture—and invite listeners to send questions, share the podcast, and join the conversation as they seek to grow deeper in faith and faithful living.

DSD 6.8 | That is where you should put your money For years researchers have sought out to better understand control mechanisms for a successful transition into lactation from the dry period. We've learned changing body condition score during the dry period is not acceptable, but what if it changes during late lactation? How does this impact energy partitioning for the next lactation? Well managed high producing cows with high fertility might find themselves bred back in less than the “textbook ideal” condition score heading into the dry period. Can we alter the late lactation ration to successfully increase condition with little impact? Dr. Laura Hernandez from the University of Wisconsin worked with a team of researchers at the Forage Center to better understand what is happening if high energy is fed late in lactation through extensive data collection to determine the possible potential carry over effects for subsequent lactations. Listen into this compelling discussion as we learn more about the “black box” we know as the transition dairy cow and what phase to invest in to maximize your return. Most people struggle with money—not because they don't earn enough, but because they don't know how to use it. If I could go back, here's what I'd do differently (and what I'd double down on). Whether you're just starting out or looking to level up your financial game, this episode is for you. What You'll Learn:✅ Invest in Yourself First. The best ROI isn't in stocks or real estate—it's in your skills, mindset, and knowledge. ✅ Adopt an Abundance Mindset. There's always room for greatness. Focus on opportunities, not limitations. ✅ Diversify Your Income. One income stream = high risk. Build multiple to create security. ✅ Put Your Money to Work. Saving alone won't make you wealthy—investing will. Automate and forget it. ✅ Live Below Your Means. A high income means nothing if you're drowning in debt.
