Today's episode has us talking about headship and leadership. Both in the Invisible Church and the Visible Church. And wouldn't you know it? God is consistent everywhere He goes. The general idea is this: the only bottleneck of leadership ought to be on Christ; not on any other human or leader. Christ instituted a concept of multifocal leadership for the church: multiple apostles appointing multiple elders who enlist the help of multiple deacons. It is not a Christian habit to follow only one apostle or one pastor or leader. Israel's present claims to the land in which she dwells are not the realization of the promise made by God toAbraham and His collective seed (in Genesis 17:7-8). For the promise of dwelling securely and at peace withinthe land will only be biblically realized when Israel turns in faith and repentance to Jesus Christ and is broughtinto the Visible Church of Jesus Christ (Romans 11:23-24).
Israel's present claims to the land in which she dwells are not the realization of the promise made by God to-Abraham and His collective seed -in Genesis 17-7-8-. As we consider objections to Israel being restored to her land of old, let me emphasize again that though I believe the Scripture teaches Israel will yet be converted to Christ and become a Christian nation, will at that time be brought into the Church of Jesus Christ, and will dwell in her land in peace and safety among the nations of the world, nevertheless, I do not believe the Scripture teaches that this future converted Israel will re-build the temple, re-institute the priesthood, the sacrifices, and the ceremonies of the Old Covenant Church which were abolished in Christ at His death on the cross (Colossians 2:14).For many Christians, the promise of the land to Israel and the re-institution of the Old Covenant ceremonies are bound together in God's future purpose for Israel. That I vigorously oppose and deny. The promise of the land to Israel is a national promise to be realized when Israel turns in faith to Jesus Christ; whereas the Old Covenant ceremonies have been nailed to the cross of Christ (the Church of the Old Testament was a Church underage but is now realized in the full-grown Church of the New Testament). Thus, Israel and all of the nations will in the future be united in the same olive tree (Visible Church), and profess and practice the same doctrine, worship, and church government. Israel as a nation has a future purpose in God's plan. Israel as an Old Testament Church has no future purpose in God's plan—but is realized in the New Testament Church andNew Covenant in Christ's blood.

Contrary to Dispensationalism, the Visible Church -the olive tree- did not begin in Acts 2, but was brought into being by God in the Old Testament -Acts 7-37-38-. -The Septuagint, the LXX -the Greek translation of the Old Testament from Hebrew- was translated in the 3rd century b.c. In the LXX the Greek word for church, ekklesia, is used some 76 times in preparation for its use in the New Testament -1 Chronicles 28-8- 1 Kings 8-14-.-Our Reformed Presbyterian forefathers referred to the church as having its beginning in the Old Testament. The Westminster Confession of Faith -1647- refers to the people of Israel in the Old-Testament as -a church under age- -19-3- and declares in -20-1- that--the liberty of Christians is further enlarged in their freedom from the yoke of the ceremonial law, to which the Jewish Church was subjected--And when speaking of the Visible Church, we confess -Westminster Confession of Faith, 25-2- that--The visible church, which is also catholic or universal under the gospel, -not confined to one nation, as before under the law,- consists of all those throughout the world that profess the true religion, together with their children-.
The Truth in Love: Homilies & Reflections by Fr. Stephen Dardis
Ever wondered how the Church, as we know it today, came into being? This illuminating episode explores the deep history of the Reformation and Protestantism, movements that shaped the evolution of the Church Universal, the Visible Church, and the Local Church. We delve into how the Holy Spirit has continuously guided us to understand and apply the Word of God, molding our personal and collective transformation. The story of Reformation reveals the birth of the Protestant movement and the lasting impact it has had on the Church in the present day. We journey further into the foundational teachings of prophets and apostles, unveiling the role of Jesus as the chief cornerstone of the Church. The Church, as we learn, is not just a physical entity but a divine dwelling where God inhabits by His spirit. Through the lens of Paul's prayers, we comprehend the deep longing for unity and reconciliation within the Church. How does a local church function and achieve its purpose? We explore the practical outworkings, and the role we play in it.Finally, we delve into the heart of Ephesians 4. Paul's message is a beacon of humility, gentleness, patience, and love, crucial attributes for unity within the Church. We realize Jesus's grace is not uniform but unique to each of us, and how His gifts of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers are key to maintaining this unity. Paul's encouragement to actively participate in the church reveals our collective call to ministry. In focusing on unity and dedicated service, we discover the path for the Church to mature in Christ. After all, we are all instruments in the divine orchestra – each note vital, each role indispensable.

Pastor walks his children through Westminster Shorter Catechism question 95-especially explaining that visible -water- baptism is only for all members of the visible church, which means that it is for infants whom the Lord adds by pure providence, just as much as those whom the Lord adds by the providence of profession of faith and obedience. --Q95. To whom is baptism to be administered-- Baptism is not to be administered to any that are out of the visible church, till they profess their faith in Christ, and obedience to Him- but the infants of such as are members of the visible church are to be baptized.

Is there comfort in Christ found outside of local churches? I think there is a trend of Christians devaluing God's means of grace or the means God uses to give grace to His beloved people. Belonging to a local church gives us the expectation that God will use His means to save and sanctify us.

There are so many denominations today, and so many of them contradict each other. What's the source of this division? Pastor Bramwell leans on Francis Pieper and C.F.W Walther to articulate the answer. Spoiler alert. It's all about the Bible. Host Rev. Tyrel Bramwell, St. Mark Lutheran Church in Ferndale, California, and author of the book Come in, We are Closed, talks about curious topics to excite the imagination, equip the mind, and comfort the soul with God's ordering of the world in the Law and Gospel. Send him your questions at stmarksferndale.com. You can find his videos at youtube.com/c/tyrelbramwell.
There are many in the Visible Church, who do not believe savingly. They are convinced of their own goodness and therefore of an automatic acceptance with God, but they do not seek acceptance with God in and through Christ alone. However, the entry to the Kingdom of Christ is only through Christ the door, flanked by the pillars of Repentance and Faith- -1- True Repentance-2- False Repentance
