    Welcome to Five Minutes to Places, our new biweekly podcast in which we’ll explore current themes and trends in the American theatre, discuss show development with the creative teams, talk with community leaders about related subjects, and more. Five Minutes to Places is produced by members of the Master of Fine Arts in Theatre Management program at the Maggie Allesee Department of Theatre and Dance at Wayne State University, under the producing entity, Theatre and Dance at Wayne. My name is Thomas Karr and I’m the program director of the Master of Fine Arts in Theatre Management and Master of Arts in Arts Administration as well as the Director of Marketing and Audience Development for Theatre and Dance at Wayne and it is my privilege to welcome you to this new series. We can’t wait to explore the ins and outs of the performing arts, how organizations have been impacted by and are adapting to the current pandemic, and what theatre and dance might look like moving into the future.
