What does is mean to be freed from sin or to be freed from the sin nature? What does is mean that he that is dead is freed from sin? In this Bible study on Romans 6:7, we will discuss:1) Who is dead with Christ and what it means to be dead with Christ.2) Whether those who are dead with Christ are presently freed from sin.3) What it means to be freed from sin or to be freed from the sin nature.4) Why Christians still sin if they are free from sin.5) How Christians can walk in freedom from sin.Understanding the true, biblical meaning of Romans 6:6, in context, will be very liberating to the one who knows this bondage-breaking truth. Our freedom from sin, or freedom from the power and dominion of the sin nature that once enslaved us, is found in what our Savior has done for us to enable us to die with Him, and through that means, make us free from sin. Even though we don't have freedom from the presence of the sin nature, we do have a position of freedom from its dominion, through Christ and what He has done, such that we don't have to serve it any longer. This is good news! Because we are united with Jesus in His death, we are freed from sin! This is an extensive study on this subject. What is the truth that makes us free from sin? What did Jesus mean in John 8:32 when He said, "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." In this teaching, I offer an in-depth Bible study answering these questions. Many have claimed that Jesus was referring only to His teachings in His Earthly ministry, but the biblical answer is that He was referring to all of His teachings in the whole Bible, as He is God and the Bible is the Word of God. More specifically, however, He was referring to the teachings brought out by the Apostle Paul in his letters, as they are the key that unveils the mystery of the Word of God, according to Paul in 2 Corinthians 3. If you want to know the answer to the question, "What the Truth that sets us free from sin?", this teaching is for you.You can watch the full, 55-minute teaching here: https://youtu.be/O6GOtz2lDLwTo watch my testimony of how Jesus delivered me from pornography addiction, click here: https://youtu.be/lK_VgvCN9uYIf you are struggling with addiction or sin of any kind, or if you simply understand that you need to continue to grow in grace and the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, I strongly encourage you to connect with Freedom in the Cross ministries by subscribing to this YouTube channel, following the Facebook page, and most importantly, signing up for the email list, which will allow you receive notifications regarding new content without the Facebook and YouTube algorithms filtering it out. Learn how to walk in newness of life as commanded in Romans 6:4.
In order to find victory over the dominion of sin and the lust of the flesh, we need grace to help in time of need. Through the blood of Jesus, we can come boldly to the throne of grace and receive help from the Holy Spirit, who will work in us both to will and to do that which is well-pleasing in the sight of God (Phil 2:13, Heb 13:20-21).To subscribe click on the following link:https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCBEULPvT4BzqBHVSZFaaAMw?sub_confirmation=1
It's one thing to be crucified with Christ; it's another thing to know how to walk in it. If we don't understand and obey Romans 6:11, we will continue to live as though the old man is still the ruler of our lives, even though, through Christ, he is not. It is the responsibility of the believer to, by faith, lay hold on the victory Jesus won for us at the cross, which requires that we believe we are in a position of victory in Christ. Only when we see ourselves crucified with Christ, with a proper understanding, can the Life of Christ shine through in our daily lives and enable us to walk in the freedom we have in Christ. Are there two kinds of freedom from sin? Many preach that there are two kinds of freedom from sin: One freedom that all Christians have and one that only some Christians have. They might call it positional freedom and conditional freedom, use some other terminology, or simply preach as though born again Christians are still in bondage to sin without saying it directly. In this video, learn why that is an error that will keep you in bondage, not to sin, but to a lie, which will result in you living AS THOUGH you're a slave to sin, even though you are truly free in Christ. For more teaching like this, you can connect with Walking in the Spirit Ministries in the following ways:Website | https://www.walkinginthespiritministries.orgYouTube Channel | https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCBEULPvT4BzqBHVSZFaaAMw?sub_confirmation=1Facebook Page | https://www.facebook.com/walkinginthespiritministries.orgiTunes Podcast | https://podcasts.apple.com/.../freedom-in-the-cross-podcastSpreaker Podcast | https://www.spreaker.com/show/ficpodcastiHeart Radio | https://www.iheart.com/podcast/966-freedom-in-the-cross-61745402/
