The word "radiant" reflects a profound biblical truth: those who look to the Lord reflect His glory (Psalm 34:5). Becoming radiant is not achieved by human effort, but by encountering the presence of God. This sermon outlines the spiritual progression of beholding God's glory, removing the things that substitute His presence, and reflecting His brilliance to the world.Key Points1. Remove God SubstitutesIn Exodus 32, the Israelites created a golden calf out of impatience. The human heart is an "idol factory" that frequently elevates comfort, control, power, or approval to the place of God. Becoming radiant begins with recognizing and renouncing these functional idols.2. Crave the Presence of GodIn Exodus 33, God offers Israel the Promised Land but states He will not go with them. The people mourn this prospect. True freedom from idolatry is evident when God ceases to be a means to an end and becomes the ultimate end. A promised land is worthless without the presence of the King.3. Experience God's CharacterExodus 34:6-7 functions as the "John 3:16 of the Old Testament." God reveals Himself as compassionate, gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love. These divine attributes are not merely intellectual facts; they are realities meant to be intimately experienced.4. Respond in WorshipUpon seeing God's glory, Moses immediately bowed down. Worship is the natural, inevitable response to a revelation of God's worth. If worship feels difficult, the solution is not to try harder, but to pray, "Show me your glory."5. Be Ruined for the OrdinaryAn authentic encounter with God disrupts the mundane. It fundamentally changes how people work, celebrate, and live. True encounters do not allow for compartmentalized lives; they shift everyday realities and demand total transformation.ConclusionMoses served as an incredible mediator for the Old Covenant, but he ultimately points to Jesus. Jesus is the exact representation of God's being and the true radiance of God's glory. Through Christ, the veil is removed. By beholding Him, believers are progressively transformed into His glorious image.Calls to ActionIdentify and renounce the functional idols (comfort, control, power, approval) currently operating in your life.Shift your prayers from asking for favorable outcomes to asking God, "Show me your glory."Allow your encounters with God's presence to actively reshape your daily routines. Is your To-Do list overwhelming? Do you feel constant pressure to perform-at home, at work, even in your downtime? Sometimes it can feel like you're barely keeping up. Our culture pushes us to achieve, finish, and win-but what happens when it's all too much?In 2 Corinthians, we meet someone who knew the pressure firsthand. The Apostle Paul faced expectations, criticism, and weakness-yet he discovered something surprising: God works powerfully not through our strengths, but through our weakness. How can we find hope when we are under pressure? Let the veil be taken away and be transformed. In God's Kingdom, pressure doesn't have the final word—hope does.Support the show

Outline  Holy Spirit as the Foundation of Spiritual Rebirth Jesus's words in John 3:5-6 establish that being born of the Spirit is a prerequisite for entering the kingdom of God. Distinction is drawn between the flesh and the Spirit, emphasizing that life in Christ is defined by the capital-S Spirit of God, singular in nature and character. This rebirth concept positions the Holy Spirit not as one among many spirits, but as the specific and exclusive Spirit of God, forming the foundation of Christian life. The Baptism of the Holy Spirit and Its Meaning Acts 1:3-8 is presented to illustrate Jesus's promise that his followers would be baptized with the Holy Spirit and receive power. The word "baptized" is defined as meaning to immerse or to make fully wet, painting a picture of total immersion in the Spirit of God. This immersive relationship with the Holy Spirit is described as something that is simultaneously upon believers, close to them, and dwelling within them. Understanding God as immersive rather than distant reframes the believer's relational perspective toward one of proximity and presence. The Human Need to Be Filled and Covered by the Holy Spirit A vacuum or emptiness experienced before receiving the Holy Spirit is identified as a universal human need. Biblical images such as Joseph's coat of many colors and the prodigal son receiving a robe and ring are used to illustrate the human need to be covered and filled by God. Feeling perpetually vulnerable or unsafe is addressed by encouraging believers to seek baptism in the Holy Spirit and find refuge in God as a strong tower. God's presence is described as constant and unchanging, with the only variable being the believer's conscious awareness of that presence. Corporate worship is presented as a deliberate practice of fixing one's eyes on God and becoming consciously aware of His already-present Spirit. The Indwelling of the Holy Spirit and Its Transformative Power Romans 8:9-11 is cited to establish that the Spirit of God dwells within believers, carrying significant implications for their identity and transformation. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead is described as living inside those who have received the Holy Spirit, making spiritual transformation possible. Areas of depression, anxiety, and emotional deadness are identified as places where the Holy Spirit actively ministers, bringing freedom and deliverance. Sanctification is framed as an ongoing work of the Holy Spirit, with the believer's role being to keep their eyes fixed on Jesus as the author and perfecter of faith. Fruits of the Spirit are described as arising from residing in and beholding God, rather than from personal effort alone. The Body as a Temple of the Holy Spirit First Corinthians 6:15-20 is referenced to establish that the body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, bought with a price and belonging to God. Sexual immorality is specifically addressed as a sin against one's own body and an incompatible presence within a temple that hosts the Holy Spirit. Hosting the Holy Spirit is likened to inviting Jesus into the temple, who then overturns tables of idolatry, impurity, and transactional relationship. Holiness is described as an active process, with the Holy Spirit creating purity within the believer as a natural consequence of His indwelling. A choice is presented between allowing the Lord to drive out compromise or allowing compromise to drive out the Lord, with the two being unable to coexist. Grieving the Holy Spirit and Maintaining Sensitivity Ephesians 4:30 is cited to explain that sinful actions grieve the Holy Spirit, who has sealed believers for the day of redemption. Acting according to human nature while the Holy Spirit dwells within creates a relational rupture, described as making one's great roommate sad. Denial of the Holy Spirit's conviction is warned against as a dangerous path that leads to spiritual callousness and diminished sensitivity. Maintaining high sensitivity to the Holy Spirit is presented as essential for continued repentance and growth in holiness. Leaning not on one's own understanding but acknowledging God in all ways is encouraged as the posture for walking in step with the Spirit. The Holy Spirit as Teacher and Guide John 14:26 is presented to describe the Holy Spirit as a helper and teacher who brings to remembrance all that Jesus has said. Believers are encouraged to bring their questions and uncertainties to the Holy Spirit first, before seeking answers from other people. Building a habit of inquiring of the Holy Spirit and searching Scripture is described as developing personal faith rather than codependent faith. First Corinthians 2:9-14 is cited to explain that the Spirit of God searches the deep things of God and imparts spiritual truths that the natural person cannot understand. Receiving the Spirit of God is described as enabling believers to understand the things freely given by God, interpreted spiritually rather than through human wisdom. The Holy Spirit Leading Believers Through Trials The Holy Spirit is described as actively leading believers into difficult situations and trials as part of their journey toward the promised land. Israel's path through Egypt, the desert, and the giants of the promised land is used as a parallel for the trials the Holy Spirit guides believers through. Trials are reframed as purposeful, with the Holy Spirit using them to generate inner transformation and deepen the believer's experience of God's peace. Peace that surpasses understanding is described as a currency not dependent on external circumstances but on the God who lives within. Fixing one's eyes on Jesus during storms is presented as the primary response to fear and anxiety, with the act of beholding Him producing transformation. Beholding God and the Practice of His Presence Second Corinthians 3:16-18 is cited to show that beholding the glory of the Lord transforms believers into the same image, from one degree of glory to another. Worship is described as a conscious and present effort to shift attention and focus onto God, contending until one locks eyes with Jesus. A practical method of practicing God's presence is described as pausing during Bible reading whenever the Spirit is discerned, closing one's eyes, and meditating on the encounter. Being still and knowing God is presented as a discipline of focusing on what already is, rather than creating God's presence. Taking every thought captive is encouraged as the means of returning to focus when the mind wanders during times of seeking God's presence. Prayer for the Infilling and Baptism of the Holy Spirit A corporate prayer is offered for every person present to be filled and baptized with the Holy Spirit, with an invitation to place a hand on the heart as an act of reception. Specific prayers are made for those with father wounds, asking the Holy Spirit to fill them with a spirit of adoption and cast out the spirit of slavery and fear. Individuals struggling with anxiety disorders are prayed over, with the perfect love of God declared as the force that casts out fear and visits places of abandonment, rejection, and trauma. Marriages are specifically prayed over, asking the Holy Spirit to baptize husbands and wives, soften hard hearts, and minister to contempt, disappointment, and woundedness. Freedom is described not merely as the casting out of negative things but as being filled with the Holy Spirit, with Jesus's warning about empty spaces being refilled sevenfold used to underscore the importance of infilling.

TODAY'S EPISODE: Introduction Welcome to Daily Radio Bible, where we journey together through the scriptures each day. On this April 3rd episode, join your host, Hunter, as we dive into Judges 17 and 18, exploring the story of Micah, his carved images, and the days when "everyone did what was right in their own eyes" 00:23. We'll next reflect on Psalm 89, singing of God's enduring love and faithfulness to David, even in moments of disappointment and challenge 07:01. Finally, we turn to 2 Corinthians 3, discovering the liberating power of God's Spirit written on our hearts and the gift of new life found in Christ 12:48. Throughout, we'll pause for prayer, gratitude, and encouragement to live confidently, knowing we are loved, free, and God's own. Let's enter this day together with thankful hearts and anticipation for what God will reveal in His Word. TODAY'S DEVOTION: He writes a new letter on your heart. Paul compares our life to a letter—one not written with ink or etched in stone, but written by the Spirit of God on human hearts 15:06. This new letter is a message of freedom and love; it's the identity that God establishes for his children. The old letter, the law, was glorious but always meant to be temporary. It was waiting for the arrival of something greater. With the coming of Christ, God now writes a new story in us, not shaped by our own hands or our own striving, but shaped by his Spirit 15:23. And this letter reads: You are loved. You are free. You are his 15:49. Your identity is not anchored in the idols we shape for ourselves or the relics we construct—like Micah, who made his own ephod and household gods, seeking satisfaction in something crafted by his own hands 16:05. When we try to write our own story, to make our own letter, we find ourselves exhausted, lost, and dissatisfied. These self-written stories, these idols and images we pursue, always leave us empty. They never truly set us free 16:51. Real freedom comes only when God's Spirit writes his letter on our hearts. It is a letter filled with confidence before God, an assurance that you stand forgiven and loved 17:07. This is the heart confidence we long for, and it is a gift—receive it today. God has set you free. Live today with the confidence that comes from the new thing he has written in you 17:27: You are loved, you are free, you are his. That is my prayer for my own soul, for my family—my wife, my daughters, my son—and for you. May it be so. TODAY'S PRAYERS: Lord God Almighty and everlasting father you have brought us in safety to this new day preserve us with your Mighty power that we might not fall into sin or be overcome by adversity. And in all we do, direct us to the fulfilling of your purpose  through Jesus Christ Our Lord amen.   Oh God you have made of one blood all the peoples of the earth and sent your blessed son to preach peace to those who are far and those who are near. Grant that people everywhere may seek after you, and find you. Bring the nations into your fold, pour out your Spirit on all flesh, and hasten the coming of your kingdom through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.   And now Lord,  make me an instrument of your peace.  Where there is hatred let me sow love. Where there is injury, pardon.  Where there is doubt, faith. Where there is despair, hope.  Where there is darkness, light.  And where there is sadness,  Joy.  Oh Lord grant that I might not seek to be consoled as to console. To be understood as to understand, to be loved as to love.  For it is in the giving that we receive, in the pardoning that we are pardoned, it is in the dying that we are born unto eternal life.  Amen And now as our Lord has taught us we are bold to pray... Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven, give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our tresspasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not unto temptation, but deliver us from evil, for thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen. Loving God, we give you thanks for restoring us in your image. And nourishing us with spiritual food, now send us forth as forgiven people, healed and renewed, that we may proclaim your love to the world, and continue in the risen life of Christ.  Amen.  OUR WEBSITE: www.dailyradiobible.com We are reading through the New Living Translation.   Leave us a voicemail HERE: https://www.speakpipe.com/dailyradiobible Subscribe to us at YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@Dailyradiobible/featured OTHER PODCASTS: Listen with Apple Podcast DAILY BIBLE FOR KIDS DAILY PSALMS DAILY PROVERBS DAILY LECTIONARY DAILY CHRONOLOGICAL

In 2 Corinthians 3:7–18, Paul shows us that real spiritual transformation doesn't come from trying harder but from beholding Jesus. When the barrier between us and God is removed through faith, the Holy Spirit gives us new life and begins changing us from the inside out as we fix our attention on Christ.

Daily Dose of Hope February 18, 2026   Scripture: 2 Corinthians 3   Prayer:  Holy God, We are weary.  We are tired.  We need you.  You are great and mighty.  You are merciful and loving.  How we need that right now!  Lord, speak to us today.  We need to hear your voice.  We pray that your voice will be louder and clearer than all the other voices that crowd our thoughts.  Lord, in these next few moments of silence, please speak to us...  God, we give you all the glory.  In Your Name, Amen.   Welcome back to the Daily Dose of Hope, the devotional and podcast that complements the daily Bible reading at New Hope Church in Brandon, Florida.  Happy Ash Wednesday.  If you live in the greater Brandon, Florida, area, I invite you to attend the New Hope Church Ash Wednesday service at 6:30pm in Logan Hall.  There will be meaningful worship, a brief message, and the imposition of ashes.   For our devotional, we are currently journeying through Paul's letters.  We have just started our fifth pastoral letter, 2 Corinthians.  Today, we are taking a look at chapter 3.  In the beginning of the chapter, Paul is explaining why he doesn't need letters of recommendation. Apparently, this was a common practice to provide letters that verified the authenticity of an apostle or leader. Paul mentions providing them in some of his other epistles but does not feel the need to have them for the church at Corinth. After all, he founded the Corinthian church so they should be well aware of his gifts and skills as an apostle. This whole discussion gives us a bigger picture of what Paul is dealing with-people are challenging his credentials and leadership. This must have been very distressing for Paul, who put so much love and self-sacrifice into his churches.   Paul then moves on to a discussion about boldness and spiritual blindness. He can be bold because there is no veil separating him from God. Remember, Moses had to pull a veil over his face when he went to speak with God to protect himself and the Israelites from God's powerful glory. It also reminds me of another veil-the curtain that separated the priest from the holiest of holies in the temple, where God's presence dwelt. Under the Old Covenant, there were many veils which served to protect people from God's power and glory. While it was for their protection, it was also a physical and spiritual separation.   Paul makes the point that even then, while the veil was technically gone, the Jews still behaved as if it was there; they experienced a spiritual blindness of sorts. But in Christ, there is freedom. There doesn't have to be separation from God or blind adherence to the Old Covenant. Christ introduced a new way of doing life, where the veil is gone, and we can now contemplate God's glory. In fact, through the power of the Holy Spirit, we can day by day be transformed into his likeness.   Verse 18 really resonates with me today. "...we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory..." This is sanctification. The more we grow in our walk with Jesus, the more we experience his grace and look more and more like him.   A question: do you look more like Jesus today than you did five years ago? Why or why not? What do you want to look like five years from now?   Blessings, Pastor Vicki

What are you gazing at—and what are you only glancing at? In 2 Corinthians 3:1–18, Paul shows us how real change happens: not through self-effort, religious performance, or trying to prove ourselves, but through beholding the glory of God with an unveiled face. In Jesus, the veil is removed and we come face to face with God, and that encounter transforms us from one degree of glory to another. This message explores how the face of God gives us hope, boldness, and freedom as we live under the New Covenant of the Spirit. For more information about Integrity Church, visit our website, http://liveintegritychurch.org Connect with us on social media throughout the week to stay up to date on events and things happening at Integrity!
