I always like to choose a Focus Word of the Year... Usually it's something that God lays on my heart, and it's a word that challenges me and inspires me to be purposeful with my goals and daily actions. Early in the year, I don't always understand the impact my word will have, but by the end of the year it is evident. God always does really cool things along with my Word of the Year!
In this episode, Laney shares about something she's been struggling through for a while: Body Image, Self Acceptance, Radical Love, and her Weight Loss (or lack-there-of). She hopes that in sharing about it, it will bring freedom to herself as it has in the past but also to others as well.
In this episode, Laney shares her goals for the year 2020 and how she breaks each one down into mini goals and simple starting steps. The method of taking the big picture ideas and breaking them down into bite-size chunks really is proven to be successful and effective! Hard seasons are inevitable in life, and especially for us as Christians. There is lots to be learned during our hard seasons, and we can always be thankful for the growth and maturity that we find from perservering through hard things. I believe that the things I've learned in this particular hard season have not been just for me, but for others as well.I'm learning how to be more empathetic and compassionate to those around me, and I'm convicted that I haven't been the friend that I need to be to those around me. I don't know where you find yourself today. Maybe you are the one struggling with something. I am praying for you that you can find HOPE and LIFE through this episode, and ultimately Jesus. Nothing else in life satisfies like Jesus. Be blessed, friends! I'm so glad you're here! You can find me at www.mypurposefulplanning.com.
