In today's lesson we will start Quadrant 2 Live Right, The Dedication to Purposefulness. QSource is F3's leadership philosophy and it is designed to be used by F3 members to improve their leadership skills for the benefit of their families, workplaces, and neighborhoods, BUT QSource is based on timeless principles useful for any group that wants to improve leadership skills. Leadership is a skill that a person must learn and master during their lifetime. Because it is a skill, a person must commit to learning to lead in the same way that you would learn anything, with practice. The degree to which you will ultimately master it will depend both upon your natural ability and your willingness to practice. Because we are all born with some leadership ability, even a man with very little natural skill can still be an effective leader if he is willing to practice hard. But a man who will not practice at all will never master the skill. The decision to become an effective leader is your choice. No one else can make it for you.

Marriage in law enforcement seems like a doomed subject sometimes. It's difficult so people talk about it as if it's impossible. But I know several long time married, wise and successful couples where one or both have been cops and they prove that it absolutely is possible to survive an LEO career and keep your marriage. So today we're talking to Erica Davis. Erica married a cop… and lived to tell the tale! If all you see of Paul's ministry is the imprisonment and the suffering, you are missing the boat. Those are some consequences, but there is a core that is such a blessing.Paul is a minister "IN FULL." He is on task, in the battle, reaping fruit and using all his resources. He is going to bed tired and satisfied. He reminds everyone of all he's received as a steward of God's grace; a grace that has been given to him as a gift. He starts conceptually with all that has been given TO ME (Paul). But he doesn't stop there. He emphasizes that all that has been given TO ME is FOR YOU. Here is the key to purposefulness in motherhood; in business; in medicine; in retirement; in sport; and in ministry. To be purposeful in using what has been given TO ME in the service of FOR YOU is the key. Hey folks! Hello beloved podcast listeners! Here it is, at long last (for us anyway!) - podcast episode 100! Question for you…. How do you honor the 100th time you do something? Just like with some other milestones, such as birthdays and New Years' Day, in many respects it's just another day. Likewise, in many ways episode 100 is just like any other episode! It has a beginning, a middle, one or several tangents, an ending, and it runs about an hour long. There is, however, a bit of a different feeling with notable episodes like 100, as there are with birthdays and anniversaries. There is cause for a bit of celebration, because that is what we do as humans, and it might actually represent something else. Clearly, it seems… we're all in! To do 100 of something, we think, means something. That's not always easy to do! And there have been many times when we've started things that can be counted, and didn't get to 100 before we, or it, flamed out. What does it take then? Or, maybe better put, what does it mean to be all in? Lasting. Staying power. Commitment? Value and meaning? Purposefulness? Importance? Any, or all of these, may be true. We can do things 100 times, but what does it mean to do that with joy? That does tap into something deeper, we think. Yet, there's another side to facing the sustaining power of something. How do we keep it going - or do more than 100 repetitions of something - without expectations? What's that? Are you wondering: what's so bad about expectations??? It turns out that, sometimes, rather than adding something that sounds meaningful, like accountability or validation, we see that those expectations are external to us. To do things from a place of true joy, meaning, purpose, and value, is to do them for ourselves! It's the doing that is the reward, not the metrics! Expectations can set us up for challenge. Like we know what's going to happen or something? We find we're about as good at predicting the future as we can the weather! To release ourselves from expectation is to let go of what we think we know and can control, and to find true freedom in purpose. Surrender to the flow, y'all! And give this one a listen! We'd love to hear what you think! Thanks, folks! P + C This Most Unbelievable Newsletter Signup! Episode 98 – The Lord of Logic – Part 10 –God Must Exist Part 2 Welcome to Anchored by Truth brought to you by Crystal Sea Books. In John 14:6, Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.” The goal of Anchored by Truth is to encourage everyone to grow in the Christian faith by anchoring themselves to the secure truth found in the inspired, inerrant, and infallible word of God. Script: Christ is exactly like God, who cannot be seen. He is the first-born Son, superior to all creation. Everything was created by him, everything in heaven and on earth, everything seen and unseen, including all forces and powers, and all rulers and authorities. All things were created by God's Son, and everything was made for him. Colossians, Chapter 1, verses 15 through 16, Contemporary English Version So once again I will do things that shock and amaze them, and I will destroy the wisdom of those who claim to know and understand.” Isaiah, Chapter 29, verse 14, Contemporary English Version ******** VK: Hello! I'm Victoria K. Welcome to Anchored by Truth brought to you by Crystal Sea Books. If you've been with us on our last several episodes of Anchored by Truth you know we have taken on one of the most challenging subjects most Christians encounter – addressing objections to God's existence. We've called this series the Lord of Logic. Why? Because when God created man in His image God communicated to man some of the attributes God possessed. Among the attributes God communicated to man was reasoning ability – the ability to apply logic and reason to evidence to permit man to understand the beauty, wonder, and order God had implanted in His universe. As the creator of logic and reason God is also the Lord of logic and reason. Sadly, in his fallen condition man does not always use logic and reason in the service of God. You sometimes hear people say things like, “you have faith in God, but I use logic to understand the world.” In doing so they are attempting to establish a false dichotomy that the Christian faith isn't supported by logic and reason. But the Christian faith is consistent with logic and reason and that's what we've been pointing out in this series. So, today as we wrap up the series - in the studio we have RD Fierro, author and founder of Crystal Sea Books. He's going to finish the summary we began in our last episode of all that we learned in the first 8 episodes. We're doing this to identify some principles everyone can use in their own Christian walk to more firmly anchor themselves to the inspired truth of God. RD, would you care to make a few opening remarks? RD: In the first 3 episodes of this series we did some “thinking about thinking” to find some principles that could guide us as we began analyzing five specific objections that are often lodged against God's existence. I would really encourage listeners to check out those episodes because they provide much of the foundation used in our subsequent analysis of the individual objections. You and Doug Apple, the manager of the WAVE 94 radio station in Tallahassee, did a great job of tackling the objections individually. And in last week's episode, when we began our summary, we reviewed the analysis of the first two individual objections – first, the assertion that since we can't see, hear, or touch God that we don't have any evidence God exists. And second, that even if God did exist He would be so different from human beings that He would be unknowable. So, anyone who would like to investigate those topics more thoroughly can get that episode of Anchored by Truth from the favorite podcast app. VK: So, today we want to proceed to a review of the last three specific objections. First that there are so many concepts of God that exist around the world that it's impossible to know which, if any, of them is true. Next, that the existence of evil in the world means that God either doesn't exist at all or isn't all-good and all-powerful if He does exist. This would rule out the existence of the God of the Bible. And finally, the last objection is that human beings invented the whole concept of God just to serve as a sort-of psychological crutch to help them feel better or have an explanation for events or phenomena that would otherwise be inexplicable. So, let's take a look at the objection that there are so many differing concepts of God that exist around the world that is impossible to know which, if any, is true. This objection is somewhat similar to the objection that even if God does exist He is unknowable. Both of these objections revolve around the objector claiming what is possible for human beings to know or not know. RD: Exactly. So, the objection that the varying concepts of God mean we can't know the truth about God suffers from at least one of the same defects that applies to the idea that God is unknowable. And that is the objector is, in essence, claiming to possess God-like knowledge while denying the existence of the real God. It's one thing to proclaim the limits of your own knowledge, but it's entirely different to proclaim you know what it is possible for anyone and everyone else in the world to know. When you claim you know not only what everyone else in the world does know, but also what they can know, you have made a very broad claim. Again, it's perfectly reasonable to talk about what you know or what you can know. It's entirely different to extend limitations you perceive about yourself to every other person on the planet. After all, just because you don't think you can sort among competing truth claims about God that doesn't mean others can't. But the claim that competing truth claims about God prevents knowing which is true has another defect. This defect is fatal. VK: Which is ... RD: The claim that the existence of competing truth claims prevents the discovery of knowing which truth claim is itself a truth claim. But, there is at least one other truth claim that competes with it: namely the opposite. VK: The opposite of the claim would be that no matter how many concepts of God exist around the world it is still possible to sort among the claims and determine which claim is valid. RD: Exactly. So, if the existence of competing truth claims means that we cannot know which claim is valid, then we could never know that the first claim is true. This objection has to surrender its claim to being true because the premise says that the existence of a competing truth claim prevents the discovery of the real truth. So, a reasonable person could ask, “What is the point of making an assertion for which the truth of the assertion will always be in doubt?” In other words, the objector is asking the other person, the believer, to do exactly what they are unwilling to do – believe in one particular truth claim over another while asserting that the mere existence of one or more competing truth claims prevents ever knowing which of the claims is valid. VK: Wow. I think I see what you're saying. The assertion that the mere existence of other truth claims prevents the discovery of the valid claim is self-defeating because it fails the test it sets up. But, as we've noted before, this is not a simple argument to grasp. It almost sounds like we're playing word games RD: I agree with that observation. These are very difficult concepts to grasp the first time you hear them. It takes concentration, and frankly meditation, to think through all the implications involved in finding out that many assertions are false because they can't pass their own test. There used to be a popular philosophy based on the idea that the only things we can know to be true are those that can be proved scientifically. It lost popularity when it was pointed out that you can't prove scientifically that the only things that are true are those that can be proven scientifically. It's actually amazing how often you run across ideas that don't pass the test the idea sets up. VK: So, the fourth of the five objections we tackled was the objection that the God of the Bible can't exist because of the existence of evil. In essence, this objection says that a good God wouldn't permit evil to exist and an all-powerful God could stop evil if He wanted to. Therefore, either God doesn't exist or, if He does, He's not all-good and all-powerful. This would, at a minimum, exclude the God of the Bible. Where does this objection begin to fail? RD: Well, let's start by reminding everyone that all of the objections that we are discussing begin with a valid empirical observation. In the case of the objection that the existence of evil means the God of the Bible doesn't exist the empirical observation is very straightforward: evil exists within the world. Christians readily acknowledge the existence of evil. So we don't differ with the objector on the starting point, but with the reasoning process that's applied afterward. So, to see where the objector's reasoning fails let's think about what evil is. VK: You're thinking that when we talk about evil we're talking about an ethical and moral distinction between good and evil or, say, right and wrong. What you are saying is that when people label an action or behavior as being evil they don't simply mean that action or behavior is inconvenient or even obnoxious. They mean the action or behavior has transgressed an objective standard that distinguishes or separates the good from the evil. RD: Right. So, we are immediately confronted with the question about what makes one thing good and another thing evil? If there were no God, as the objector contends, then the universe would be an undirected composition of matter, energy, time, and space. In such a universe ethical obligations – standards of “ought-ness” if you will – would be impossible. Inanimate matter and energy cannot establish moral or ethical standards. Only a lawgiver can establish a law. And it would take a judge to distinguish when a behavior complies or doesn't comply with the law. If God doesn't exist there is no basis for labeling anything as being good or evil. So, if God doesn't exist there is no point in making the objection in the first place because there is no valid basis for saying that anyone can identify anything as being evil. VK: C.S. Lewis famously wrote that the existence of evil prevented him from becoming a Christian for a long time. He couldn't understand how a good God would permit evil, and all the pain it causes, to exist in the world. But he realized that in order for him to have any idea that some things were good and others evil there had to be a source somewhere for how that distinction could be made. And, of course, Lewis realized the only possible source for a real distinction would have to be a Being that had the power of creating obligations that would be binding on His creatures. RD: Lewis realized that far from the existence of evil being a challenge to God's existence, the ability of men to distinguish evil from good proved that not only God must exist but that that God must have communicated some of His attributes to man. Now, this doesn't mean that the existence of evil doesn't pose a challenge to the Christian faith. I don't believe there are many thinking Christians who haven't wondered, as they gaze at the fallen world around them, why God permitted the snake to enter the Garden of Eden. VK: I know I have. RD: As have I. We certainly don't have a full or complete answer to the question of why God permitted evil to enter His good creation. That question will likely always be a mystery on this side of heaven. But we do know at least this much. If God had simply used His power to keep the serpent out of Eden God would have demonstrated His power and His justice. But it was only when man fell and God initiated His plan of redemption, culminating in the sacrifice of His only Son, that we saw the demonstration of God's grace and mercy. Grace is undeserved mercy so when God made it possible for us to be saved by sacrificing His Son he vividly illustrated that He is not just a God of holiness and justice, which He is, but also that He is the God of grace, mercy, and love. The entry of evil into the physical creation made it possible for God to demonstrate that grace, love, and mercy. Could God have done it another way? I don't know. God may or may not choose to answer many of these questions when we are face to face with Him but at that point it won't matter. We'll be bathed in the light of his unmatched countenance for all eternity so a lot of things that seem so important now frankly won't trouble us at all. VK: Praise the Lord. Ok. That takes care of the objection that God must not exist because evil exists. Where do you want to start with the final objection we discussed: that the concept of God is just a psychological crutch invented to make some of us feel better? RD: Well, first of all let's point out that exactly the opposite charge can be leveled at anyone making this objection: that the only reason they refuse to believe in God is because they don't want to be bound by the standards for holy living that acknowledging God requires. So, the psychological benefit argument cuts both ways. Believing in God may make some people feel better, but not believing in God makes others feel better. So, neither of those arguments is any better than the other. VK: Well then what argument does help us know whether or how the objection breaks down? As you have noted, this objection begins with a valid empirical observation: that for many of us our belief in God is an amazing source of strength and comfort. RD: The psychological crutch objection fails on at least two key points. First, if God didn't exist then the only alternative explanation for the existence of life is what is often termed the “General Theory of Evolution” - the belief that all life arose from inanimate particles. But if all life is the result of the random collision of inanimate particles, this includes human life. And, as we discussed in the second episode in this series, this belief creates an inescapable dilemma. We encapsulated this dilemma in what we called the Sarfati-Fierro Maxim. The Sarfati-Fierro Maxim goes like this. All denials that intelligence was necessary for the formation of life proceed from an unintelligent point of origin. When you state the problem this way you begin to immediately see that there is an insuperable difficulty with the whole notion that life had an unintelligent origin. VK: Well, let's unpack that thought for a bit. The Sarfati-Fierro Maxim is saying that if someone denies that intelligence was involved in the creation of life, then anyone making that denial would have to admit their denial has a foundation that is unintelligent. In other words, their denial lacks an intelligent, or reasonable, starting point. Because, if there was no intelligence involved in the creation of that first “self-replicating” macromolecule – and all life evolved from that molecule – then it's hard to see at what point intelligence spontaneously became an attribute of any of the products of that evolution. Do I have that right? RD: Yes. So, the Sarfati-Fierro Maxim points out an immediate problem with the psychological crutch objection. The person making the objection certainly believes they are making an intelligent observation – but without God they have no sound basis for explaining the intelligence they believe they possess. Atoms and molecules clanging around in a chaotic fashion is a very weak explanation for explaining how human beings can form or frame abstract concepts, much less find comfort in those abstract concepts. But a second point is that in making the objection the objector is acknowledging that human beings all have a desire to feel that their lives are meaningful. Christians have an easy explanation for the reason human beings possess this desire. VK: Christians believe our lives have meaning because we were created in the image of God and the first thing God did after creating us was to give us instructions. God told Adam to name all the animals. And after God created Eve He told Adam and Eve to be fruitful and multiply and have dominion over the created earth. In other words God gave human beings a mission right from the start and fulfilling that mission gives our lives meaning – as does our relationship with our Creator. RD: You are precisely right. So, Christians can easily explain why all people, everywhere want to feel like their lives matter. But if human beings were just the latest product in a long string of random molecular interactions any sense we have that our lives should have meaning would just another effect of the randomness. Purposefulness and meaning are the exact opposite of chance and randomness. In other words, the objector must presume that his objection has meaning (otherwise why make it) while denying that there is any source for meaning in their life. VK: So, again, as we've observed in other cases – the objector affirms in their dissent the proposition from which they are dissenting. They deny God exists but, if God doesn't exist, they can point to no source for ultimate meaning in their own life. Yet surely they believe their life matters, and Christians would affirm that it does. But the only way for their life to matter is if there is a God who can impart meaning to any life. Absent God, matter, energy, space and time are undirected. There are relationships between all four but neither the qualities by themselves nor any relationship between the four can explain the existence of life, mind, personality, or personal attributes. Undirected, unintelligent physics plus chemistry does not produce simple biology much less complicated abstract or conceptual phenomena such as language, law, logic, or meaning in a human life. As such an undirected physical universe cannot explain mind or humanity. Logic, reason, or meaning created randomly would not be meaningful or reasonable, just another manifestation of the ambient chaos. RD: Exactly. So as we've reviewed these five objections and how well they fare under a critical analysis we see some common themes emerging. All of the objections start with an empirical observation. As Christians we can affirm the validity of those observations. Evil does exist. There are many different concepts of God around the world. We can't sense God by sight, hearing, or touch. But then each objections proceeds to apply reasoning to that empirical observation and somewhere during the reasoning process each objection fails. They fail because they rely on a premise that is self-defeating or they use a premise that couldn't be true unless God does exist. Said differently, these premises are “affirmed in dissent.” In either case the defect is fatal. VK: So, what you're saying is that it is important for us to not only know where the objections fail individually it's also important for us to see what happens collectively? RD: Yes. Sadly, the world today is filled with very poor reasoning habits. This wasn't true just a few decades ago. We used to teach our kids some sound, basic truths and reasoning processes that help guide them as they navigated their way through the world. And many of these truths were commemorated in straightforward sayings that seem quaint today but were important for living responsible, productive lives. “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you” was a shorthand way of saying we have to treat others with kindness and respect because the way we like to be treated. “What's sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander” was a quick way of saying that when we're judging situations we must use fair and equitable standards. Of course, all of these kinds of standards had their roots in the Bible. But we've gotten away from so many of these straightforward truths that enabled us to build strong families and communities. VK: Right. And of course the bedrock foundation for the logical processes we learned and the standards we taught was that there was a God who was going to hold everyone accountable one day. I know today some people see that foundational truth as objectionable or offensive. But it really is just a way of trying to ensure everyone understands that no matter what we think individually of God, His existence and presence are real. Our opinions of that existence and presence won't change them. God is God. He will be no matter whether we fall on our knees and praise Him or shake our fist in His face and deny His existence. He's not going to change. In fact, He is unchanging. And while that may sound ominous it's actually good news. Because He doesn't change we can count on Him to keep His promises and fulfill His word, no matter how much time passes by or how the situation in the world seems to change. RD: Yes. And He gave us the capacity to understand those promises, but for that to be meaningful to us we have to learn to reason correctly. That's the point of so much of the things we're covering in the Lord of Logic series. The first test we should always apply to any assertion or claim that is presented to us is whether the assertion or claim complies with itself. As we've referred to repeatedly, if the statement, “there is no such thing as absolute truth” were true, it would mean that the claim itself cannot be true. And this is the problem with so many of the arguments that are lodged against the existence of God. And this problem isn't limited to claims or assertions that pertain to God. Contradictions abound in our public discussions today. There are people in the public square who loudly clamor for tolerance while exhibiting a great amount of intolerance for those who disagree with them. And tolerance can never be the ultimate standard by which ideas are judged because it violates its own standard. To be tolerant of everything would mean we must be tolerant of intolerance – but intolerance is exactly what is being opposed. Tolerance in its best sense simply means to treat others with kindness, dignity, and respect even though we may disagree with their ideas or viewpoints. So, tolerance grounded in truth and love is good. But there is no reason we should ever tolerate child pornography or human trafficking or a host of other evils. An insistence on tolerance unbounded by truth and ethics just becomes an avenue for one group to oppress another. Sadly, the history of humanity shows that even the best of intentions can be the source of a lot of unintended mischief. VK: Well, in our next episode of Anchored by Truth we're going to begin an entirely new series. We hope everyone will join us then as we continue to celebrate the God who has given us an unbreakable anchor to the truth to keep us secure against the crashing wave of this world. This sounds like a great time to go to the Lord in prayer. Today let's listen to a prayer of adoration for our magnificent Creator. And let's remember always to pray regularly for our nation and communities. We have all endured some trying times recently but the Bible tells us that “greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world.” The Bible assures that God hears and responds to the sincere prayers of His faithful children. ---- PRAYER OF ADORATION FOR THE CREATOR (GWEN) VK: We'd like to remind our audience that a lot of our radio episodes are linked together in series of topics so if they missed any episodes or if they just want to hear one again, all of these episodes are available on your favorite podcast app. To find them just search on “Anchored by Truth by Crystal Sea Books.” If you'd like to hear more, try out crystalseabooks.com where “We're not famous but our Boss is!” (Bible Quotes from the Contemporary English Version) Psalm 46, verses 1 through 3, Contemporary English Version Philippians, Chapter 4, verses 11 through 13, Contemporary English Version KEY CONCEPTS 1. VALID INFORMATION ABOUT REALITY CAN ONLY BE OBTAINED THROUGH DIRECT SENSORY APPREHENSION - BUT YOU CANNOT DERIVE THIS OBSERVATION FROM SENSORY APPREHENSION 2. WE CANNOT UNDERSTAND BEINGS DIFFERENT FROM OURSELVES USING OUR LIMITED INTELLECTS – BUT IF THIS WERE TRUE THERE WOULD BE NO POINT IN MAKING OBSERVATIONS OF OTHER FORMS OF LIFE. a. WE CANNOT UNDERSTAND AN INFINITE BEING USING A FINITE INTELLECT – TRUE IN PART; WE CANNOT COMPREHENSIVELY UNDERSTAND THE INFINITE BUT THAT DOES NOT MEAN THAT WE CANNOT DERIVE TRUE INFORMATION ABOUT AN INFINITE BEING. 3. COMPETING TRUTH CLAIMS PRECLUDE THE DISCOVERY OF THE TRUTH – BUT IF THIS WERE TRUE THIS CLAIM CANNOT BE KNOWN TO BE TRUE BECAUSE AT LEAST ONE OTHER COMPETING TRUTH CLAIM EXISTS (THE OPPOSITE OF THIS CLAIM). 4. A INFINITELY GOOD GOD CANNOT HAVE A GOOD REASON FOR PERMITTING EVIL TO EXIST EVEN FOR A LIMITED PERIOD OF TIME – FOR THIS TO BE TRUE WE WOULD HAVE TO HAVE AN EXHAUSTIVE UNDERSTANDING OF THE INFINITE WHICH A FINITE BEING CANNOT. 5. THE ONLY REASON HUMAN BEINGS EMBRACE ABSTRACT CONCEPTS IS TO FEEL BETTER – BUT THIS CONCEPT ITSELF IS ABSTRACT YET IT DOES NOT MAKE MANY PEOPLE FEEL BETTER

Since then he has interviewed the CRAZIEST list of people you an imagine: Maya Angelou, FW de Klerk, Buzz Aldrin, Usain Bolt, Ai Wei Wei, Sir Richard Branson, Moby, Melinda Gates, Penn Jillette, and a ton more.We spoke about what he learnt from his subjects, and from over 10 years of working on the mother of all side-hustles.Here are 3 Key Takeaways.1) Purpose vs Purposefulness: we live in a world of purpose porn. Vikas doesn't think it's healthy for everyone to wave their massive missions around. His solution: Do purposeful work. You don't need to seek a life purpose.2)The real depths of forgiveness. Vikas shares a story from one of his favourite interview subjects, Holocaust survivor, Iby Knill. In an age of instant judgement, hearing that Iby forgave her captors blew my mind.3) Life and Death are intertwined mysteries. We need to get more guests on to talk about life and death. We're the Lifefulness Podcast because we're all about life, and this pod digs into it. We need more of this. You have to get his new book 'Thought Economics' which collects and collates these interviews. It's not a human search for God, but God's search for humans, revealing His desire to become one of us so as to make us members of His Divine Family of the Most Holy Trinity. God's Journey to Bethlehem gives a glimpse of God's unconditional love revealed through the great Mystery of Incarnation. The seemingly simple event has a lot to reveal about God's nature, human preciousness to God, and His ever-abiding presence with each person. The author shares his reflection in the light of the Bible mingling it with the everyday experience. This will help the reader walk through the Footsteps of God from Heaven to Earth. The Mystery of Incarnation is God's Way of Alluring a Person to enter into his (her) heart. It would definitely assist the reader to let God allure the person to fall in love with Him. It would work like Panacea giving lasting transformation, making one the image of God. It would expand the horizon of the reader to look at God, life, self, and other realities from God's perspective. Faithful Reading and Journeying would lead to: Knowing God; Genuine Relationship with God, with self and others; Self-Concept; Healthy Self-image and Self-Worth; Lasting Meaningfulness and Purposefulness of Life; Freedom from the clutches of Addictions; Self-Transformation as you should be; Coming out of the Comfort Zone to Maximized Living. God's Way of Alluring You to Enter into Your Heart Being loved unconditionally gives one the reason to live for someone or something beyond oneself. Having seen oneself from God's perspective, one would realize the unworthiness of the addictions, slaveries, sinful habits, inferiority-superiority complexes, obstacles, and traps that one is in. The book has three major parts: 1. God's Way of Alluring You 2. God as a Baby in Bethlehem 3. On the Footsteps of God from Heaven to Bethlehem In the third part, the author presents how God became really human. The author presents eleven areas where God could be seen becoming one of us, like Creator to Creature, Holiness to Sinfulness, etc. Extract from the Book: This is not a Journey of Discovery but a Journey of Revelation. God is passionately in love with You! Saying ‘Yes' to sin is saying ‘No' to God and vice versa! Separation from God is a human choice and never God's! Everyone is saved through the blood of one Man, Jesus Christ for He is fully God and fully human. God allures everyone to go with Him to a lonely place to let them know how much He is in love with them! Faith is the road to understanding! God whom the entire creation cannot contain was lying as a tiny baby in Bethlehem. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/greatergloryofgod/message

In this episode, you will also learn from Andy about the book the TTF published earlier this year, each of its 12 chapters related to one Finance Development Goal. I contributed to the chapter on Responsible Reward, the integration of sustainability and remuneration, and we discuss three others:Leadership: we want leaders with a multi-stakeholder mindset.Cultural reform: would there be a need for such a regulatory burden (including in remuneration) if the culture mandated for good, honest and ethical conduct?Purposefulness: what's your strong reason for existence? Your action takeaway:When it comes to remuneration, how can you improve the transparency of your disclosures? Think about whether you're using the ‘commercially sensitive' clause too liberally. Nobody wants to share their strategic targets with the competition, but what about your ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) progress and results? Be proud to share them with the world!Andy invites everyone to contact the TTF and get involved in this worldwide cause.TO GET EACH EPISODE OF THIS PODCAST STRAIGHT TO YOUR INBOX, PLEASE SUBSCRIBE HERE: https://www.peoplenet.ltd.uk/newsletter/

On Episode 19, we learn life lessons on purpose and purposefulness from the life of Chadwick Boseman (1976 – 2020). Purpose is the reason for which something is created or for which it exists while purposefulness is that quality of having a definite purpose. It is one thing to know purpose and it is another to make every moment of your life be meaningful and relevant to that purpose. The reason for the despair and mourning at his passing at such a young age is the same reason for the celebration of his life: his achievements and his accolades but most of all, his impact, especially on the lives of black people all over the world. He used his life to tell stories of black culture from trailblazer biographies to superhero stories in Jackie Robinson, James Brown, Thurgood Marshall to T’Challa. Beyond the achievements, the courage to use his “power to give them heroes to look up to; to do it all while in pain – what a use of his years” (The Obamas). How we honor his life and purpose is to be sure “to take your time but don’t waste any time” in being intentional and purposeful about your own life. “You have to cherish things in a different way when you know your clock is ticking…” – Chadwick Boseman. Mind your purpose today and everyday, there is a whole world waiting for that deposit of God in you.Let’s continue the conversation on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn @TheStellifyPodcast. No matter how much knowledge and information we have, if our motivators, our habits and beliefs aren't aligned with what we want to achieve, there'll be no progress. What are the symptoms of not being clear enough or having dug into our goals enough? How do we get to the emotional bedrock of why we're doing something and how do our motivators flow directly into our actions? What is the difference between fearlessness and purposefulness, and how does it define the people with the grit and ability to put themselves where they need to be for maximum effect?

The gospel makes us generous. As the grace of God transforms us, we should find ourselves becoming more open-handed with everything we have and everything we are. In this series, we consider the virtue of generosity, and what it looks like to be a people marked by that virtue.
“Ask yourself every moment, ‘Is this how I want to be thinking, feeling and acting?’…and only continue when the answer is yes.” ~ Adapted from Richard Bach (https://www.billcrawfordphd.com/quote-video-blog/)
It’s all about Helping you become the better leader we need leaders and we need great leaders. First class leadership is and starts with three pillars of unique qualities. Who are those first-class great leaders the greatest leaders on earth? for example, Martin Luther King, John F. Kennedy, Benjamin Franklin, Nelson Mandela much more Gandhi. They all had a compelling vision they knew where they were heading they had a crystal-clear idea about their destination. And then they day loved what date did they were you know they had passion you know what why is it important to have passion to love what you do every day. You have to have courage, you have to have the courage to follow the path to that final destination, that vision, that goal when only you believe. Having courage to push the red button knowing you are making the right decision which gets you closer to your final goal. The guts to make to do the painful unpopular costly decisions which you have to make to get you closer to your goal, your dream, your vision. “Never Give Up“ A quote from another great leader Winston Churchill. Leading by example, Integrity a leader must become rich with integrity. Leaders apply a reality check where do I want to go , am I on the best course to get there sort of how you use a G.P.S. Great leaders analyze where am I in my journey. Like playing chess. You have to know where what position you have and what position the other person has you know that that determines your next move. Purposefulness, the greatest leaders have had a purpose, while trying to achieve a sense of balance in their lives. Joining God as He works out His purposes in our lives enables us to rest and abide with confidence. When we know we're on God's side, we know the result is guaranteed and will be satisfying for both us and God. We can face life's guaranteed trials and tribulations with excitement, waiting to see what God is going to do, knowing all is under His loving control. And we can take responsibility over our own lives, knowing that God is aligning our desires, dreams, goals and aspirations with His. Does What You Believe Work? The more we embrace God's purpose for this age, the more likely we are to enter into the rest and freedom which our spirit already enjoys. Here's a quick summary of 10 things that we can do to join God in His purposes for us now: 1. Be willing to change your beliefs. Question what you think you know, and let the Lord reveal His Truth. 2. Embrace your True Identity: “I am a spirit, I have a soul and I live in a body.” 3. Be objective about your temperament. Learn how to appreciate and submit to Him the unique way God put your soul together. 4. Don't put off until another time the freedom, healing and responsibility God wants you to experience now. 5. Acknowledge and submit to the sovereignty and jealous authority of God over your life. 6. Accept that God loves you as a unique individual, and wants what is best for you. What is the church? A building? Something we do on Sundays? No, the church is a group of people who are banking their whole life on the confession that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of the living God. The church is people who have turned from sin and confessed their hope in Jesus as the Son of God to be saved and are baptized to prove that faith. It is God's will that we are purposely connected to His church. There is not a single verse that would suggest otherwise. There is certainly room for checking things out and making sure a particular church is where God is calling us, but our goal should be to figure that out so that we can either join or move on to find the place we should.
