Life is a series of experiences and we're just making sense of that as we go along. That is what I'm doing here, one conversation at a time.
I recently started listening to The No Backup Plan podcast by Nathaniel Drew, and I must say, it has quickly become one of my favorites. Right from the start, there was something about Nathaniel's content that felt incomplete in his YouTube videos, but this podcast fills that void perfectly. What sets this podcast apart is the unfiltered insight we get into Nathaniel's mind. It's not scripted or edited beautifully like his videos, but rather raw and authentic. This makes his stories and content even more captivating.
One of the best aspects of The No Backup Plan podcast is Nathaniel's ability to relax into the intensity of life or a project. He brings a deep level of critical thinking to everything he creates and isn't afraid to admit that he doesn't have all the answers. Instead, he encourages listeners to open their perspective and question life more. This combination of vulnerability and strength in experiencing life is truly inspiring and always leaves me smiling and nodding along.
While it's hard for me to find any major flaws in this podcast, if I had to mention one aspect that could be improved upon, it would be the frequency of episodes. As a long-time follower of Nathaniel, I can't help but wish for more content from him. However, I understand that creating high-quality episodes takes time and effort, so I appreciate every episode that is released.
In conclusion, The No Backup Plan by Nathaniel Drew is an incredible podcast that showcases his unique perspective on life in an authentic way. It's a breath of fresh air to hear his unfiltered thoughts and insights without the polished editing of his YouTube videos. If you're looking for a podcast that will make you question your own beliefs while leaving you inspired and captivated, then I highly recommend giving this podcast a listen. Nathaniel has truly crushed it with his first venture into podcasting, making it my number one podcast right out of the gate!

I'm very competitive. I always have been, and it troubles me because it sometimes leads me to act in a way that doesn't align with what I know to be good for me. My competitive side can push me to overcommit in the short term and exhaust myself in the long term. It can also take me away from the joy I feel in doing things at my own pace and in my own way. Training for a marathon is opening my eyes to this side of myself, and leading to a few realizations that I wanted to share with you. ~~~~~~~ My Newsletter

Here's the deal: I'm not doing a very great job of predicting my future. The truth is, I have never felt fully culturally connected to the country where I was born (the United States). I feel very lucky to have been born there and to have grown up there, but I've always felt like I didn't belong. This has led to a lifelong search for a place that brings a feeling of belonging that I didn't have. In this podcast, I converse with my good friend Bartholomew Joyce who is part of the band Mandelbro and has also navigated the challenge of finding a sense of identity despite hailing from multiple different cultures and countries.
