Allâhü Teâlâ şöyle buyurmaktadır: “Ey imân edenler! Zannın çoğundan kaçının. Çünkü zannın bir kısmı günâhtır. Birbirinizin kusurunu araştırmayın. Biriniz diğerini arkasından çekiştirmesin. Biriniz, ölmüş kardeşinin etini yemekten hoşlanır mı? İşte bundan tiksindiniz. O hâlde Allâh'tan korkun. Şüphesiz Allâh, tevbeyi çok kâbul edendir, çok merhamet edendir.” (Hucurât s. 12) Ayette açıkça gıybet, kişinin ölü kardeşinin etini yemesine benzetilmektedir. Böyle bir benzetmenin nedeni, insan tabiatının her ikisinden de nefret etmesidir. Çünkü insan bedensel olarak ölü kardeşinin etini yemeyi düşünemediği ve bundan rahatsız olduğu gibi ruhsal olarak da gıybetten rahatsız olur. Ebû Said el-Hudrî ve Câbir (r.a.e.)'den gelen rivayete göre Allâh Resûlü (s.a.v.) şöyle buyurmuştur: “Gıybet zinadan daha şiddetlidir.” Oradakiler “Ey Allâh'ın elçisi! Nasıl gıybet zinadan daha şiddetli olur?” dediler. Bunun üzerine Allâh Resulü (s.a.v.) şöyle buyurdu: “Çünkü bir adam zina yapar da sonra tevbe eder; bunun üzerine Allâh onun tevbesini kâbul eder. Ancak gıybet edenin durumu farklıdır, gıybetini yaptığı kişi onu bağışlamadıkça, Allâh da onu bağışlamaz.” (Taberânî) Allâh Resulü (s.a.v.) bir başka hadiste şöyle buyurmaktadır: “Ölülerinizi kötülemeyin, böyle yapınca dirilerinize de eziyet verirsiniz.” Bu hadisten anladığımız üzere ölülerin gıybeti, dirilerin gıybetinden daha şiddetlidir. Çünkü onların gıybeti iki kötülüğü barındırmaktadır. Birincisi, onlardan af dileme imkânı olmaması, ikincisi ise eğer Allâhü Teâlâ o ölüyü affetmiş olsa, gıybet yapan bu adam, affedilen kişiyi kötüleyerek âdeta Allâh (c.c.)'un hükmünü sorgulamış olmaktadır. Tutulacak bir günlük oruç on güne karşı mıdır?” diye sorduklarında Efendimiz (s.a.v.) “Evet!” buyurdular. Altı günlük oruç bayrâmdan sonra arka arkaya tutulabileceği gibi bütün Şevvâl ayına dağıtılarak da tutulabilir. Zîrâ Âişe (r.anhâ) Vâlidemiz: “Resûl-i Ekrem (s.a.v.) Efendimiz pazartesi ve perşembe günlerinde oruçlu olmaya çalışırlardı” buyurdular. Ayrıca “Her ayda üç gün oruç tutmak, bütün hayâtını oruçlu geçirmek gibidir.” (Buhârî ve Müslim) “Kim bir sâlih âmelde bulunursa, ona yaptığının on katı ecir verilir.” (En'am s. 160) Bu âyet-i kerîmeden yola çıkarak, Ramazân'ın her bir gününün, on güne karşılık geldiğini ve toplamının 300 olduğunu, ardından tutulan altı günlük Şevval orucuyla birlikte 360 gün ettiğini, bu sürenin de 6 gün ziyadesiyle bir sene ettiğini âlîmler hesaplamışlardır. Zîrâ Kamerî takvimde yıl, 354 gündür. Tutulan 6 gün orucun, Pazartesi-Perşembe veyâ Kamerî ayın 13., 14. ve 15. (Eyyâm-ı Bıyz) günlerine denk getirilmesi daha fazîletlidir. Alî Havvâs (k.s.) buyurmuşlardır ki: “Şevvâl ayında tutulan bu altı günlük oruca da, Ramazân-ı Şerîf'teki gibi saygı gösterilmelidir. Çünkü Şevvâl ayında tutulan oruçlar, Ramazân ayındaki oruçların eksiklerini tamir durumundadır.” İşte Şevvâl ayı oruçlarında Râbbimizin vaad ettiği mükâfat, oruçla olan irtibatımızı devâm ettirmemiz, orucu sâdece Ramazân ayına mahsûs kılmamamız için bir teşvîk mahiyetindedir. On March 19, 1960, James Kinne was allegedly shot and killed by his 2-year-old daughter who had been playing with James .22 pistol and accidentally fired the gun, killing her father. Within a month, James' widow, Sharon Kinne, was involved in an affair with Walter Jones, who was married to Patricia Jones. When Sharon asked Walter to leave his wife Patricia, Walter refused. Mysteriously, Walter's wife, Patricia, was murdered days later. Sharon was arrested for Patricia's murder and prosecutors also suspected that Sharon was responsible for her husband, James Kinnes, death as well. Sharon was put on trial but acquitted of Patricia's murder. When it came to the trial for James' murder, there were a series of mistrials. While Sharon was out on bail, awaiting a fourth trial for James' death, Sharon went to Mexico, where she killed Francisco Ordonez. Sharon was arrested in Mexico and found guilty of murdering Francisco and sentenced to sever 13 years in prison. 5 years into her sentence, Sharon escaped prison and was on the run for over 50 years. Adem (a.s.), Cennet'te ikindi ile güneşin batışı arasındaki zaman kadar kalmıştı ki bu süre dünya günlerinden 130 yıla eşittir. Adem (a.s.), Hindistan'a, Havva validemiz Cidde'ye indirildi. Adem (a.s.)'ın indirildiği dağın, Hindistan'ın Serendip ceziresinde bulunduğu ve dağın isminin Bevz (Nevz) olduğu Taberî'de bildirilir. Yüce Allâh, Adem (a.s.)'ı Cennet'ten çıkardığı zaman ona her şeyi yapma sanatını da öğretti. Ona örs, çekiç, kerpeten ve külünk gibi bazı aletlerle kızıl tüylü bir öküz de verildi. Adem (a.s.) çiftçi oldu. Ekin ekmesi emredildi. Yeri, alnının teri ile sürdü. Ekin ekti, suladı, zamanı gelince biçti. Düvenle sürdü, rüzgarda savurup taneleri samanından ayırdı. Taneleri öğütüp un yaptı. Onu yoğurup hamur yaptı. Hamuru da pişirip ekmek yaptı. Adem (a.s.)'a demircilik sanatı da öğretildi. Demirden ilk yapıp kullandığı şey bıçak oldu.Adem (a.s.)'a nasıl tevbe edeceği ilham olununca, tevbe etmeye başladı. Gafur, Rahim ve Tevvâb olan Yüce Allâh, Adem (a.s.)'ın tevbesini kâbul eyledi. Taber Mongero is a former collegiate baseball player known for his exceptional defensive skills and high baseball IQ. He played shortstop at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington (UNCW), where he contributed significantly to the team with his consistent glove work, leadership, and ability to make high-pressure plays. He comes from a family deeply rooted in baseball, Taber was coached and mentored by his father and former podcast guest, Coach Trent Mongero, a well-respected figure in the baseball community and an expert in teaching infield play.Taber has since transitioned from playing to the Director of Player Development for UNCW where he mentors young athletes by sharing his knowledge and passion for the game while upholding the values of hard work, discipline, sportsmanship and mental toughness.

The Artists Index is an AHA! partner and this is the sixth in our series of livestream podcasts. The November AHA! was our second impromptu evening and open mic invitation to the South Coast's poets to help celebrate with us on Thursday, November 14th, from 6 to 7:30 pm. Once again, our livestream podcast was co-hosted by our livestream partner and friend Adam Katz, the owner of Play Arcade. Our November AHA! Guests who joined us (Max Wikermayer and Ron Fortier) in the bar area at Play Arcade included Kate Frazer Rego. She was our podcast guest on Episode 83 and Episode 147. Kate also read a couple of her poems. It was the first live poetry reading on our AHA! podcasts! We also had an impromptu and very refreshing visit from Taber Academy students Ryan O'Donald and Hudson Flynn, who told us about their experiences in pottery class at Taber. These articulate young men encouraged two of their fellow students, Blake Appleton and Matty Levesque to join us. Their art instructors, Tricia Smith and Leslie Brannigan,  joined in soon after. They offered their views on the local art scene, the Taber art curricula and the importance of the phenomenal creative community of New Bedford and the South Coast. Once again, it was loud and noisy with all the arcade games but we still had great conversation. Play Arcade is "an old-school 80's style arcade offering a full-service bar, craft-made drinks, and food..." and over 40 vintage arcade games and a rooftop deck overlooking the working waterfront in the New Bedford Whaling National Historical Park. AHA! (Arts, History, Architecture) has presented New Bedford and the South Coast with free arts and culture nights. It celebrated its 25th anniversary this September! AHA! Nights are held every second Thursday of the month to recall and honor the nostalgic late shopping night offered in New Bedford from the 1940s through the 1960s. This revival has brought a new and lasting vibrancy to downtown.
